STILL SEE YOU EVERYWHERE is the third book in Lisa Gardner's Frankie Elkin series. I have read the author before but not this series, but found myself right at home from the start. The setup is the traditional detective novel, very familiar, but with a twist. Think The Big Sleep - the detective, Philip Marlowe, visits a prospective client, who wants him to find a missing person, Rusty Regan - immediately you know where you are. Here we have Frankie Elkin, unlicensed and self-driven missing persons investigator, visiting a prospective client, and being asked to find her missing sister. However, in this case, the client is a serial killer, a woman on death row for the murder of 18 men, who wants Frankie to find the sister she lost touch with 12 years ago, whom she believes is being held captive by a tech millionaire, The Beautiful Butcher's ex, on an isolated island in the Pacific.

So, we have echoes of The Big Sleep, The Silence of the Lambs, Glass Onion, perhaps a bit of Jack Reacher in our nomadic central character. We also have an intriguing protagonist in Frankie Elkin, and a talented author in Lisa Gardner, who takes these familiar elements and builds a singular, unusual and pulse-pounding thriller, which bears comparison to the influences. I liked Frankie a lot. She is driven by a need to fight for those forgotten, or ignored, by the traditional authorities, witty and funny, yet full of self-doubt and uncertainty. The plot is full of twists, keeping the reader guessing right until the end. The supporting characters are rounded and interesting, and some of their backstories could make for very readable novels themselves. Lisa Gardner's prose is excellent and makes you want to continue reading, her dialogue is realistic and natural. Above all, her research is incredible, and used to flesh out the story rather than being an information dump. Nothing I learned pulled me out of the exciting events but, later, I was inspired to learn more about Pacific atolls, and disturbing coconut crabs, and wolf spiders, and pirate treasure (yes, pirate treasure...)

This book started off slow but then became a page turner! Frankie isa recovering alcoholic who is obsessed with finding missing people. This time she has to go undercover to an island in the middle of nowhere. Everything is not as it appears.
The characters are so well written, you feel you know everyone and can identify with parts of each of them in some way. The story ramps up and becomes very exciting and I didn’t know what was going to happen, nor did I predict the ending.
Really well written, exciting and a page turner for sure.

“Still See You Everywhere “ completely transported me inside the story! Written beautifully so I could fully empathise with the characters and smell the salty ocean breeze. Strong, believable characters in a gripping plot which constantly took twists and turns, reaching a dramatic and satisfying finale.

Set in a wonderful, remote island off Hawaii, with virtually no communications with the rest of the world, Frankie, the main character, finds herself looking for a missing sister of a serial killer, having been sent there by the killer herself.

A very different, intriguing read, with an unexpected outcome.

My thanks to NetGalley and Random House UK for giving me the opportunity to read an advance digital copy in return for an honest review.

I have read Lisa Gardner books for years and have become attached to many of her main characters - from FBI agents to police detectives to Frankie.
Frankie Elkin is a really interesting lead character and isolating her on an island with strangers and very limited means of external communication allows the story to unfold at a good pace. She meets complete strangers and tries to determine who she can trust and who she can't. As ever, danger lurks around every corner and I raced through this with its twists and turns to get the ending I craved.

A very enjoyable read.

Thanks to Netgalley and Random House for the ARC of this book.
Absolutely outstanding book from Lisa Gardner. So different to anything else I've read lately I just could not put it down. It's almost a shame that most of her books are stand alone as some of the characters almost beg for another story.
Thank you so much for writing this Lisa and look forward to your next book.

This latest read by Lisa Gardner is an excellent read and by far one of my most favourite so far. Frankie Elkin finds missing persons - the cold cases that the law have closed, having exhausted all lines of enquiry. She doesn’t get paid for this service, it seems to be a calling, something within her needs to occupy her restless mind and travelling the US to find people helps.

However, Frankie’s latest case involves female serial killer Kaylee Pierson, nicknamed “The Beautiful Butcher’ requesting that she find her long lost sister. Kaylee , now known by her native Hawaiian name Keahi, has her lawyer Victoria bring her to her death row prison to find her younger sister. It appears that her 5 year old sister was kidnapped over a decade ago in Hawaii, and the kidnapper is thought to be Pierson’s tech mogul ex-boyfriend, Sanders MacManus. It now comes to light that on a remote island in the middle of the Pacific—the site of MacManus’s latest tourist project that he will bring Leilani to visit.. With very little time before Keahi’s execution Frankie finds herself undercover on a remote atoll in the Pacific, in the hope that she can rescue the young woman from MacManus.
This is a fantastic, gut wrenching edge of your seat read that had me hooked from the beginning.

This cautionary tale about someone being employed by a serial killer on death row keeps the reader guessing right to the end as to who is in control. They end up in a remote island when things turn out not as they appear to be. Recommended.

I’ve not read a Lisa Gardner book before. I was surprised to see some of the negative reviews for this book. I will have to read some of her others that are said to be much better.

Frankie Elkin, is an expert at finding people. She’s hired by a female serial killer “the Beautiful Butcher” on death row to find her sister that was kidnapped a decade before. The main suspect was a millionaire tech mogul in Hawaii who happened to be the serial killers ex boyfriend. With a letter purporting to be from the sister and with time running out Frankie is enlisted to travel to the remote Hawaiian atoll where the mogul is building a new eco friendly resort to gather information on him and the missing girl.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4. This book was a real page turner for me. The remote Hawaiian atol and band of social rejects that make up the workers were vividly brought to life, it’s not surprising since both location and characters were inspired by real people the author met travelling the year before. A fast paced book with a few twists and enough drama to be an easy beach read. Thanks to @netgalley for the arc.

Lisa Gardner is another of my favourite authors and this is the second book I’ve read in the Frankie Elkin series.
Frankie is an expert in finding missing people. A recovering alcoholic, she has a better understanding than most of why some people don’t want to be found. When a brutal killer on death row asks for her help to find her missing sister Frankie has serious doubts about accepting the task, She eventually accepts but soon regrets her decision and ends up getting far more than she bargained for. Thrown in to a situation outside her comfort zone she struggles to decide who she can trust.
Lots of suspense, twists and turns along the way. Another brilliant book that had me hooked from start to finish.

Book three in Frankie Elkin series. I haven't read the previous two books but I really enjoyed this book. Very well written, great descriptions and characters in the book.

Lisa Gardner delivers another heart-pounding Frankie Elkin thriller in "Still See You Everywhere." This sequel throws Frankie into a unique challenge: finding a missing person on a secluded island far from Hawaii. The twist? The plea for help comes from a death row inmate with a mysterious past.

Gardner masterfully builds suspense as Frankie navigates unfamiliar territory, both geographically and personally. The island setting adds a claustrophobic tension, making it unclear who to trust and where danger might lurk.

Fans of the series will be thrilled to see Frankie's return, while newcomers can dive right into this fast-paced adventure.

This book was a page turner as you weren’t sure who was going to turn out to be the perpetrators of the things which went wrong and how the Beautiful Butcher would strike. The plot twists and turns as you work out who to trust and the story gets more complicated.
I found the ending a little disappointing but not sure how else it could have ended.

This is the first 'Frankie' book I've read and really enjoyed it. Fast pace, lots going on, plenty of twists, a tiny bit far fetched at times, but it didn't spoil the story line for me. I didn't want to put it down. Thoroughly recommended.

Thank you to #netgalley and the publishers for allowing me to read this. I thoroughly enjoyed it; it was well structured, fast paced and exciting. The setting - an atoll near Hawaii- was a great choice as it was one the writer could adapt to suit the story, whilst being exotic and interesting. I found myself irritated by the name “the Beautiful Butcher” as I don’t think it was realistic and by the speed that Frankie gains the trust of Vaughan. However, that was easy to overlook and I was keen to find out the fate of the characters. Leilani was a particularly interesting character. A good escapist novel.

I'd read the first in the series so was pleased to see another by Lisa Gardner and Still see you everywhere does not disappoint. Loved the story and all the characters from the first page onwards. A real page turner to keep you awake into the small hours.

Really exciting storyline of an inmate on death row inmate Kaylee Pierson (nicknamed the beautiful butcher) whose last wish is to get in touch with her sister Leilani who was kidnapped over 10 years ago and has a lead as to where she may be. She need's Frankie's help to find her and this takes Frankie over to a very small remote island hours from Hawaii where she must fit in and find out what has happened to her.

This was a really exciting thriller and gets a full 5 stars throughout.

I'll definitely be reading the previous book in this series very soon.

A big thanks to Random House UK, Cornerstone, Century for the e-Arc.
