Thank you netvalley and publisher for a digital copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.

Sorry to say…DNF. This series did not improve, despite me trying to push through. See my other reviews on the previous three books.

It’s difficult to flesh out a review when it’s the fourth and final book in a series but I will say that Knight of the Goddess is a nonstop, emotionally charged adventure with so many twists and reveals that it truly kept me at the edge of my seat!

Morgan and Draven find themselves facing an ancient evil, one with a long history that has its tethers deeply imbedded in the realms, and the two will do whatever it takes to stop it. As they embark on their journey, Morgan begins to feel the weight of what will happen should they fail. But the love they have for one another and their family truly shines and provides the strength they need to face the unknown and protect their people.

Morgan and Draven have such a deeply embedded and steadfast love for one another and it is everything!! Both stubborn to a fault and willing to die for the other; their emotions bleed from the pages and it’s hard not to get caught up in it. The fact that their story has ended actually hurts my heart because I love them so much! 😭 These two are eternal. And that throne scene?! IYKYK.

The second half of the book pulls no punches and ramps up the action as the lore embedded throughout the series comes heavily into play, and the ending is a wild ride that doesn’t let up.

Knight of the Goddess is truly a deeply satisfying and incredible conclusion to the Blood of a Fae series and opens the door to more stories in this wonderful world and I can’t wait to take the journey!

This is definitely one of those series I plan to reread again and again.

- Characters you love to hate
- hidden power
- lost memories
- Found family
- Fae | Mortals | Fantasy Beasts | Gods

I was so torn between a 3 and a 4 star for this read, this is the 4th in the blood of Fae series and probably my 2nd favourite behind the 1st book which I really enjoyed.

I wish we got to explore the magic of the main characters a little more, and the potential of discovering mythical creatures carried through from book 1.

Having said that, this book has the same pace as the first and I enjoyed how things unraveled in the last 30% of the book.

I didn't love this book like I did the others. The plotting and character development are the main reasons. I did not like the turn around time for the big bad battles, especially since there were a ton of unnecessary character deaths. It felt rushed in comparison to the other books in the series and left me feeling like the Happily Ever After was not fully deserved because there actually wasn't enough of the war to be seen (a feat that I suppose was trying to be solved by the endless character deaths). Medra was the other main issue. I never like the raised for slaughter plot points and this one was aggressive due to the quick aging of the character who did not have the cultural context or social skills to truly understand what she was doing. I felt like her inclusion made the rest of the story feel too rushed and that her inclusion was not a necessary solve for the big bad.

Firstly thank you to the author and her team for sending me arcs of this series. It’s been such a pleasure to read Morgan and Kairos’s story 💖

With that said - wow. What a spectacular way to wrap up the series. This book gave me all of the feels. I absolutely loved that book one started off with a quest to find an object and in this book Morgan and Kairos are on a quest to find themselves (literally). This author and this book specifically writes about some very hard topics like grief and mental illness extremely well.

I will forever refer to this series as ACTOR but more adult and spicier.

Favorite quotes:

Morgan - “I see forever with you by my side. Because long after these scars have faded away to nothing, I’ll still be standing beside you. You and I? We’re eternal.”

Kairos - “Families aren’t meant to be perfect, Morgan. Anyone who ever claims to have a perfect family is lying. Have you seen mortal families? They squabble and hit and lie and...”

Morgan - “Love, the one force in the universe that no one could ever fully explain. Love, the candle in the dark that led us through the night and softened all our sorrows. Without love, life was a starved and empty thing, for there was no hope, no joy without it.”

I'm so happy I finally could read the last opus of this Saga. I've suffered with Morgane all along and this book closes her story with Draven with panache !
They have to defeat Morgane's real father, who is perhaps more than a mere fae. And they will face adventures and perils. But at least, they will be together, united, and madly in love.

All the good ingredients for a great fantasy quest are here, and I enjoyed every moment of my reading.

If books one through three are considered amazing, book four is absolutely out of this world! Knight of the Goddess by Briar Boleyn is the perfect conclusion to a wonderfully fantastic, paranormal series about the most daring, headstrong, loving, and loyal woman put to words, and the amazing Fae/husband that stands by her side, supporting her through thick and thin. This book is the culmination of everything the first three books have been leading up to, and the reader finally sees what it is the MFC is actually capable of both on her own, and as part of a couple. This book will make you laugh as well as make you cry, and you will beg not to have the series end. Thankfully, Ms. Boleyn has a spinoff series coming out shortly, and the readers won't have long too wait.

Loss for words. Moved. Bittersweet.

I still can't believe that this series is finally over. I just can't.
I was already sobbing so much while reading the last few chapters. It was intense, heartbreaking and very emotional.
Seeing some of my favorite characters gone literally gutted me to the core.
But despite those sad feelings, I also feel relieved and happy to see Draven and Morgan lived a happy life and Kaye waking up and making the most of his childhood.
That particular scene on the book where Crescent showed a room with all of Medra's memories, that scene literally hit me so hard.
I literally choke on my sobs. It was so hard for me.
The whole book was so hard for me to finish because all I can think is that I'm not ready to say goodbye 😭💔

My Heart Hurts!

This was a tragically beautiful ending to such a dark and magical adventure. Morgan and Draven face so many hard goodbyes and devastating reunions as they take their final journey to save the world.

Briar has written such a beautiful series that did not shy away from showing the real tragedy of a war among Kingdoms or even those who believed themselves to be Gods. The plot was forever evolving leaving every twist unexpected, the shocking ending was well done, such a good “trust the process” example, because in the end EVERYTHING mattered!

The characters continued to develope and heal, the vulnerability and grief they traverse is unimaginable. I continue to mourn the lovable characters who did not make it to the final chapter, such a strong writing ability to bring characters into the heart of your readers!

I am sad knowing this is the end of such a soul shattering journey, I will probably still be on the floor with my unchecked emotions for another solid week!

Thank you Briar Boleyn, Starwater Press, & NetGalley for the opportunity to read Knight of the Goddess.

Have you read a book series (or watched a tv series) & you have invested a fair amount of time into it, and even though you don't "love" it anymore, you still feel like you need to see it through to the conclusion? That's a bit how I felt with this book the more I read it. I'm glad I finished & I still generally liked it, but I felt the ending was a bit meh (shoulder shrug). I am not a person who takes extensive notes/tabs while reading, so the reveals of who the main characters were (without going into total spoiler territory) had me confused initially. I figured a more involved reader saw the clues, but I tend to read as an escape/when I'm sleepy, so maybe it's just me. I also did not like the story arc or conclusion for Medra. While I understood it & can suggest no major changes, it still feels like she was robbed. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC opportunity.

This series is an amazing rollercoaster ride and I wasn't ready for it to end. It consumed my thoughts the entire time I was reading and I will definitely go back to these characters to revisit their story all over again. Draven becoming soft for little Medra made me love him even more. I made up so many theories in my mind while reading but none of them proved to be right.
That little glimpse of on wings of blood was enough to intrigue me and left me wanting more. Excited for more work from the author.

And it all comes to an end! The final installment of *Blood of Fae*. This series kept me wanting more, and this last book was no exception. We finally learn who Morgan really is and what she is capable of. We see her and Draven becoming a perfect symbiosis; they are their best and most powerful selves together. A few beloved characters are lost along the way, but all is well when it ends well.

Will I recommend this series? DEFINITELY. I love the world-building, character development, and the fact that although Camelot was in the background in each book, we are introduced to new storylines. I wouldn’t mind having a few more installments in these series to read…

The final installment in this wonderful series was everything I needed and more. Thank you to Netgalley, the author, and the publisher for the advance copy to read.

I've truly loved following Morgan and Draven as they've grown throughout the series. Looking back to book one, Morgan's character development has been phenomenal. She has come such a long way from the first time we met her, evolving into a strong, complex, and captivating character.

The bond between Morgan and Draven is utter perfection! The perfect mix of romance, steaminess, and mutual trust makes them one of my favorite book couples to date. Their relationship is beautifully developed and feels incredibly authentic.

This book really takes everything from you and leaves you bereft with your jaw on the floor. So many questions are answered, and the resolution is deeply satisfying. The emotional highs and lows are perfectly balanced, making for a truly unforgettable read.

This series is great for any SJM fans, and I can't recommend it enough. What an incredible journey!

I truly enjoyed the first two books in this series. I liked the plot and the action and the love-hate between Draven and Morgan. But the third book started to lose me a bit. The story was dragging and I found myself losing interest. But I thought I’d give the fourth a try. It just isn’t for me. I don’t know if it’s the length or the stalled character development or that the plot is taking so very long to unravel, but it is really tough for me to get through.

Love this series!! Highly recommend for anyone who enjoyed Gild, Throne of Glass, Crave, or The Bridge Kingdom. It’s a binge worthy series and once you start you won’t be able to stop. I spend every free moment I have to read this. Couldn’t recommend enough. Draven and Morgan <3

I loved the first three books in this series and I have enjoyed following Morgan and Draven’s journey. This meant my expectations were really high going in and I was really sad when this book fell flat for me.

Pacing was a real issue for me, for the majority of the book it was slow until the final 20% where there was a lot of information dumped and I couldn’t keep up. The quest like structure felt reminiscent of the first book and I found myself bored on their journey to Morgan’s father’s land.

As a result this meant the ending felt rushed. There were so many bombshell revelations that felt glossed over and we don’t get any real answers about Medra, Kaye or Guinevere and their stories. There were a lot of deaths in quick succession that felt like they were added for the sake of it and found myself not caring anymore.

Morgan and Draven continued to be a highlight and I enjoyed their love for each. Whilst the reveals at the end were confusing I liked how their story played out and I’m glad they got their happy ever after.

Overall, whilst I still enjoyed it, I felt it was a disappointing end to an otherwise fabulous series. I would still recommend the series for anyone who enjoys enemies to lovers, romantasy or a dark fae twist on Arthurian legend.

What a conclusion!

I don't want to spoil it but to say I am glad I kept going (I struggled to get into book 1) is and understatement. I noticed with this series that it really forced me to slow down as I read. I am notoriously bad at skipping to the next bit of dialogue in my books but this series stopped that. Once I slowed down I took in all the descriptions and explanations and I loved it! Reminded me of when I used to read "properly" and take everything in.

Plot wise! what twists and turns! This series for me was like TOG meets Camelot with a twist. Loved it and have already recommended to fellow fantasy readers.

“I see forever with you by my side. Because long after these scars have faded away to nothing, I'll still be standing beside you. You and I? We're eternal.”

This was such a fantastic finish to the series!

Morgan, Draven, and their counterparts embark on a journey where they must face the evil that has been threatening all of their kingdoms and destroy three legendary objects of great power...

I honestly didn't know where the story was going to go from one chapter to the next - it kept me on my toes the entire way through!

Full of many surprises, like throughout the others in the series, this was a thrilling final adventure with Morgan and Draven, and I have loved every last bit!
