I’ve read every single book by this author and every single book is great. Great book!! Realistic characters!! Great plot. I would read another book by this author. It had me engaged from start to finish.

I love Sonali Dev’s books. This was such a fun read. I highly recommend her books. I loved the vibrant years as well! Her pride and prejudice retelling was great.

Reading this book took me through a series of so many real emotions. I smiled, giggled, cried and ranted in anger at some characters. I enjoyed travelling with Mira as she discovered herself, her pain, her relationship with family and her roots in India.
This is a 5 star read like any Sonali book so far. The emotions were real, the adventures felt necessary and the resolution was like being able to breathe finally. I love everything about Mira.

As a fan of Sonali Dev, I was thrilled to see her newest book "There's Something About Mira" available on Net Galley. Skilled at writing the cutting dynamics between family and culture, I loved this book from start to finish.

As we begin to learn the dynamics of Mira's family and her self-described 'perfect' relationship with Druv, Sonali Dev perfectly intwines the genres of Romance, Mystery and Deep History into this magical novel. We follow Mira in this charming indie romance as she travels across the States to New York to embark on her engagement trip alone, after many postponements from her husband Dhruv, a specialist orthopaedic surgeon. After arriving in New York, Mira stumbles across a ring that will inevitably change her life, and take her on the winding exploration of self discovery and reflection.

With a strong sense of will and determination, Mira feels destined to return this ring to its original owner, with the help of her twin brother Rumi and his partner Saket, they recruit the help of local journalist Krish. Taking us near and far, both geographically and emotionally, the journey from New York to India to return the ring to its rightful owner begins.

The book is a rollercoaster and whisks you away in the madness of it all, whilst also holding dear the themes of the book. The self reflection, self discovery, and realisation that her life might not be all that it seems feels so heartfelt and extremely touching, a key theme in all of Sonali Dev's books to date.

A lovely, touching novel, that takes you on a magical journey alongside a comforting, funny and genuine cast is a must read for its release in Early 2025.

This was the perfect book for me this weekend. It had romance, but it also had family issues. I also liked the mystery surrounding the characters and an item that was found. This is more nuanced than you would think. Mira is hoping to repair the relationship with her twin brother, and the two have to get the real issues before they can heal. The characters, all of them, were so well done. The story alternates between letters from years ago, and current times. Not only was that story line interesting, but there is a mystery within a mystery about why Mira is receiving help from a handsome journalist who showed up at her brother's doorstep.

I’m simply overwhelmed. There’s Something About Mira just makes me feel lighter. Mind you I devoured this book quickly because it weaves history, romance, and mystery into a perfect journey. Sonali provides a full emotional journey that meanders along different paths that makes you smile, laugh, contemplate, and dare I say get teary eyed. Something that I’ve come to appreciate in all my years reading Sonali Dev’s books.

When Mira’s fiancé Dhurv is unable to join her on a scheduled engagement-honeymoon trip to New York City, she throws caution to the wind and goes alone. The trip to New York is life changing as she reconciles with her twin brother Rumi and his partner Saket. But she also finds mysterious ring that leads to a winding path of self discovery. Determined to return the ring to its owner, Mira goes on a journey from New York all the way to India and is joined by Krish. An eager journalist covering the story but is also dealing with an emotional past that comes to fruition in later chapters. The reveals in this are sooo good and also un-expected that I’m not risking any spoilers.

For me the stand out: Chapter Twenty-Four. A reveal that was heartbreaking that I had to put down my kindle for a bit and return to it. <spoiler>Women’s reproductive health and access to care and education is vital. It’s important, and matters now more than ever. Sonali’s very good at infusing real world themes in her books and doesn’t shy away from tough topics. Several are covered in the course of the novel and written with care and caution. Mira and Krish quietly reveal pain that has been silenced for years. How it festers and manifests weighs on you. But both characters transforms.

My only wish is that we never get to read Krish Halle's finished article!

Mira wants to return the lost ring that she find. Jornalist Krish wants the story and joins her in their adventure.
It's a very romantic story. Love the sweetness and swoony moments. Krish and Mira are terrific together. A terrific romance with some very touching moments.

As the two work together to trace the ring's owner, Mira begins to question whether her own life is as perfect as it seems. It's an engaging plot that I had me reading this book in a day! I recommend it to anyone who wants to read a lovely romance with cool plot and heartfelt moments!
