This is the story of four individuals whose lives are about to change. Sherry Low’s One series of books are always enjoyable for me and I think it’s because of the characters she creates. I called this her One “series” but it’s not really a series. Every book can be read as a standalone they just all happen to have the word one in the title and everything happens over a certain period of time, this one takes place over 24 hours.

Like her other One books this has some familiar characters as well, I was especially pleased to see Alice and Val again. Low always writes compelling characters and those two are my favorites. This one takes place in January 2025 so it’s perfect as a New Year read.

The four different points of view read easily and flowed well together. I love how seamlessly they all ended at the airport even if it was a little bit far-fetched at the end. I was so happy the author didn’t go the way I thought she would with two of the story arcs and that bumped it up to four stars for me. It just tied up a little too perfectly in other ways.

I really like this book but I wish authors would stop throwing people into relationships so quickly after they’ve left one. It takes time to mourn a relationship and jumping into one right after the breakdown of an engagement is not a good idea. We women do not need men to live happy, full lives. If you have a great one I am happy for you but it’s because of love and commitment not because you can’t be alone.

Shari Low's story telling is magical. In only one day the life of four people traveling through Glasgow' s airport will change forever with amazing twist in the plot to bring them together? Zara, Alice, Ollie and Zac's stories and the ones around them will be touched with the magic of fate and love. Thanks to Nergalley and Boldwood for provinding an ARC copy of this book. This is my honest review

I always enjoy Shari Low's books, and "One Day and Forever" is just as delightful as its predecessors.
Over the course of 24 hours, we follow several characters, and the author does an amazing job of connecting all the dots. The storyline itself is heartwarming and charming, and I also appreciated seeing some Shari's old characters again.

Shari Low has done it again—what a delightful read! I always know when I pick up one of her books that I’m in for an engaging and heartfelt experience. There’s something so comforting about sinking into a story where the lives of her characters intertwine in such clever and unexpected ways. She has a real knack for making her world feel alive, and I absolutely adore the little nods and cameos from characters we’ve met in her previous novels. It’s like catching up with old friends while being introduced to new ones.
This book follows the familiar yet fresh structure of tracking four central characters over a 24-hour period, with some beautifully written flashbacks to give depth and context to their stories. Each character is wonderfully distinct, and their journeys are woven together in a way that feels seamless and natural. You can’t help but root for them, laugh with them, and occasionally feel a pang of sadness too.
Shari Low’s ability to expand this fictional world is incredible. Every new character feels like they belong, and you just know they’ll pop up again in future books, lingering at the edges like old acquaintances. It’s such a joy to be part of this growing tapestry of lives and connections.
If you’re a fan of her work, you won’t be disappointed. And if you’re new to her writing, this is a fantastic place to start. I’m already looking forward to seeing how these characters weave their way into future stories. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a feel-good, layered, and immensely satisfying read!

Written in true Shari Low style, this is a great story of love, family, heartbreak, secrets, and second chances.
There is a list of characters all with their own story that somehow Shari manages to interweave together into a beautiful, fun story. I thought that all the side stories would be hard to keep track of, but everything flowed smoothly from scene to scene and the ending, while completely predictable, was perfect.

I love all of Shari Low’s books and I am so thankful I found this amazing and creative author! I am fascinated by her storylines that take place in a short, but busy, twenty-four hour period. Since so much happens to our characters in one day, it sometimes seems that the day goes on forever! Ms. Low’s characters are easy to love because they are real people with kind hearts, positive attitudes, and loving spirits who always lend a helping hand.

In her latest book, “One Day and Forever” we meet Kara, her best friend Ollie, Alice, who is excited about this next chapter in her life, and Zac, whose life will change in a big way by the time the day is over. All of our new friends interact and connect with each other during our short, and busy day. Kara experiences heartbreak, but realizes that even though she is sad, she is in a better place, and Ollie must decide what path his future will take. My favorite character is Alice because I had been cheering her on since she appeared in a previous book, and now she gets her happily ever after with the help of Zac, and her other new friends. I cannot impress upon you enough as to how wonderful this book is! Ms. Low introduces us to the beautiful city of Glasgow and allows us to escape to a magical place where dreams really do come true. Kara, Ollie, Alice and Zac left the past behind and were looking forward to a future filled with love, happiness and days full of sunshine.

If Shari Low writes a book, I am going to read it. She has a knack for creating characters that I instantly care about. Her writing is also wonderful, moving, uplifting, humorous, and heartwarming. I was completely captivated by the plot of One Day and Forever which shows four characters facing challenges, revelations, and life changing events.

As the characters in this book find their lives changed in various ways in just one day, I was there for every second of it. The characters respond to each of their challenges in believable and realistic ways. As they process the things in their life, they show their connection to each other, provide support, and a caring environment in which to vent. Shari Low's books are charming, focus on relationships, family, community, real life issues, and love. I always feel good when I close the last page while anticipating reading what she writes next!

Beautifully written, moving, compelling and captivating!

Enjoyed!

This book, while not part of a series, incorporates characters from previous novels that help build the new characters and advance the timeline. In this case, Kara has lost her job and fiancé based on the same incident, and she’s pretty low. At the same time, her best friend Ollie is also having relationship issues.

We also meet back up with Val and Alice. Alice is finally free of her rotten husband and ready to move to be near her son, when she finds out that a childhood friend’s sister passed away. The service is the same day she’s flying to live near Rory, but she attends anyway. Who she meets there changes the rest of her day and impacts her life moving forward.

Looking forward to the next one!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

This is another fabulous feel good book by Shari Low. I was quickly engrossed in all of the characters and story and had to keep reading to find out the outcome. I’d definitely recommend it, it’s a fab read.

Shari has performed her magic once again and I’ve laughed, cried, and had my heart warmed in yet another 24 hours in the lives of some of our favourite characters. As always, there are some new loveable characters in the mix but I can’t help the joy and relief when some of my old favourites pop up too. This time around, Kara is facing a personal crisis just as she’s about to jet off to Hawaii for a double wedding with her sister but an eventful 24 hours may be about to change their lives forever. Another 5 star book from my favourite 5 star author!

Shari Low has done it again- another belter, which I managed to read in a day as I just couldn’t put it down- don’t you just love it when that happens?
Wonderful writing, with twists and turns, great to meet up with some of the characters from previous books, but equally easy to read as a stand alone.
Shari is one of my favourite authors.

I always enjoy a Shari Low novel and found this one just as delightful with the mixing of characters from multiple books coming together but I want to make it clear this can be read as a standalone Her formula and format are the same in this book as others where the story takes place over one day, it shows you how much can happen in a day and how people unknowingly can be connected. It is a great story with multiple themes, Lost friendships, newfound loves, grief, and DV are touched on throughout. Overall this is a nice light fast-paced read.
I look forward to hearing more of this author's works!
Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC. This is my honest review.

When it’s one of Shari Low’s books i just know i am going to love it and once again i was proven right. I find that all of her books are like you are settling in for a cosy night with your onesie, a big mug of tea and biscuits too. Her stories make you feel snug and warm, a pure delight. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this story, loved the characters and although there are lots of them, she manages to gel them altogether really well. A beautiful heartwarming tale. This certainly did not disappoint.

Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for allowing me an advanced copy to read in exchange for my open and honest review. As always, my reviews will also be posted on Amazon, Goodreads and Waterstones and interaction on Facebook and instagram where possible.

One Day And Forever by Shari Low is a most delightful contemporary novel that is set over just one day.
The story is broken up into two-hour slots as it follows a number of characters throughout the day. Many of them are due to fly out of Glasgow airport but are grounded due to adverse weather conditions.
Readers of previous novels by Shari Low will enjoy meeting up with familiar faces. It was good to catch up and see what happened next.
We join characters who have previously lived squashed lives. It is good to see them now blossoming and living in freedom and encouraging others who need help.
Old friendships are re-built at a funeral. An old photograph throws up questions as characters long to know the answers.
As we journey through the day with the characters, we become invested in their lives. We care what happens to the eclectic mix of characters who are all likable and believable.
Shari Low draws the reader in from the start as we become reacquainted with old faces and introduced to new ones. As the day progresses, we see how lives intersect and connect over one January day.
Once again Shari Low has created a powerful, emotional read which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I received a free copy from Rachel’s Random Resources for a blog tour. A favourable review was not required. All opinions are my own.

As a long-time Shari Low reader, I feel like I am part of the big complex network of friends and family around Val and the rest of the characters, who are somehow somewhere connected to each other within London, Dublin, Glasgow and sometimes Edinburgh.

Of course some of the scum (villains) reappear, and somehow, every book has me rooting for someone / some couple to be together, this one included. I finished it the same day I picked it up, that was how invested I was.

Must read !! That's all I will say to avoid any spoilers!

Thanks for the ARC from Netgalley!

Wowza! All the Stars! To say that this author knows exactly how to weave together characters into a big bow at the end of a story would be putting it mildly. *Chef's kiss! This was my first book by this author and I'm not sure where she's been all my life (I'll happily add all the books to my TBR!) I loved it all, and my heart was so utterly happy at the end of it that I was torn between wanting to keep reading so fast and also not wanting it to end. Sweet, funny and heartwarming.. Add it to your list!!

Thank you to Bold Book Club and Netgally for the eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review

Heartwarming collection of characters😍✈

Shari Low's story of interconnected dramas played out in Glasgow and its international airport was a true joy to read, entertaining and uplifting. The characters in her stories really connect and she is so good at providing multiple compelling subplots that all eventually intertwine. Nostalgia and grief for friends and family lost. Romantic relationships and professional lives at a crossroads. Farewells and new acquaintances. They are all here, with some winter weather delays aiding and abetting luck, divine intervention, whatever, that brings the right individuals together in the chill of a Glasgow January.

My favorite part of the book centers around Dublin resident Zac, his continuing grief at his mother's death; his search for answers about his birth; and his chance airport meeting turned to something lovely and poignantly fleeting with Glaswegian costume designer Kara. Kara's solid friendship with hottie actor and childhood companion Ollie and his crises came in a close second. But there are so many sympathetic characters of varying ages and walks of life in the story, and some bad seeds like Corbin, Sienna and Larry for good juxtaposition. The result is a heartwarming story and I was sorry to reach the last page.🙁

Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.
