This is an excellent book for parents with children between 2 and 11 years old.
Here are some takeaways:

Kids "want your love, admiration, and attention."
Problems occur when you stop giving them that.

"Address family members respectfully."

"Have a routine. Young children thrive on structure."

Rogers encourages parents to try Behavior Charts, but discourages tracking chores on such charts.

Storytelling is an effective way to convey a message or a lesson.

Replace negative commands with positive ones: say what you want them to do, not what you don't want them to do.

Share videos of your child doing great things and have others praise them when they see the video.

Separation anxiety is normal between 6 and 36 months.

CONCLUSION: Great parenting tips!

Is inclusive of children with disabilities, which is important to me as both an Autistic and Autism Mama. Works with positive affirmations and positive behaviour adjustment on both the parts of parents, and parents modelling the behaviour for children. One of my children has PDA, and offered helpful suggestions to have the behaviour be on her terms and her ideas simply by modelling behaviour gently.

Whilst acknowledging less desirable emotions, it does encourage to let go of them too quickly. I feel forcefully letting them go can be harmful, rather than allowing the child to sit with the feelings and working through them in a healthy way. The breathing method is a good start, and I feel there’s a happier medium here than can be a little more gentle than not allowing the child to move through those feelings at their own pace.

Otherwise informative and provided a bunch of great ideas.

Successful Parenting offers practical strategies and insightful tips based on real-world examples.

Thank you to A Rogers Books and NetGalley for my advanced copy for my unbiased and honest review

Written by an expert in the field, the book provides actionable recommendations for navigating various parenting challenges, empowering readers to approach future situations with greater confidence and understanding. I appreciated the gentle parenting approach as I've been a parent for over twenty years and it was a pleasure to read about new ways of communicating without yelling and how to get my children to be open with me. I definitely would recommend this to parents or families with children.
