I didn’t have to finish reading this book because I knew it was just for me. I’m pre diabetic and I need to change my eating habits quickly and this book came just in time. I love the recipes in the book and I’m looking forward to trying them out.

A great combination of science based advice and relatable narration/writing. I really enjoyed how this author conveyed the information. I feel like this is full of really healthy and actually doable steps towards a better diet.

I thought this book gave some reasonable tips to help you when you feel as if you have derailed your progress.
It covered several different scenarios but in the end it provided useful ideas to keep you on track.
I wish there had been more tips for different types of lifestyles. The cartoons were nice, and as someone who is trying to manage blood sugar, I appreciated the attention that was given
Thanks for the opportunity to help kickstart my healthy plan!

What a great self help and wellness book! I found the book to be a fun and encouraging read with practical tips and strategies. I appreciated Bennet opening the book with a personal story of struggling with her own dieting. She takes an empathetic approach to understand your habits and weaves delicious recipes throughout.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange of my honest opinion.

I only like these kinds of self-help books where 1. I can identify with the author and 2. the advice is practical and achievable. This book fits both of those so I'm glad I read it.
I struggle to remain consistent on a diet and this book offers encouragement to people who worry about perfection and tips on daily life to maintain healthy habits, not just around food but everything else that affects how we eat. For example, almost everyone I know has a sleep deficit, but working towards better sleep habits can help with weight.
This is short and well organized, and easy to read. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

Thanks NetGalley and Greenleaf Book Group Press for this eARC of I Blew My Diet! Now What? by Connie Bennett.
I saw this book being featured in the Read Now selection and found it pretty easy to read. I really enjoyed the meal plans that they had listed to try and it did help me with creating my relationship and approach to getting back on track with my health/diet. There were points where it was overwhelming, but what kind of diet doesn't make you do that? Lots of facts but a good layout to follow. I was actually in the stage where i blew my diet (again) and talk about perfect timing to read this book! haha - I'm also laughing because I just read a review saying the same thing. LOL
A really good reassuring book and I can see this book being good to read for those who have gone through a big loss/grief. I'm about 3 years out after the loss of one of my kids and diet/eating can be a huge emotional void and start depressing habits.

I found "I Blew My Diet! Now What?" to be both interesting and easy to read, thanks to its well-organized layout. The inclusion of meal plans and recipes was a highlight, and I'm excited to try many of them out. The book's practical approach makes it a valuable resource for anyone looking to get back on track with their diet.
I requested and received an advance reader copy of this book from publisher and Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I enjoyed reading this book and liked Connie Bennett's personal story and anecdotes - I could definitely relate to a lot of it!
However, the 21 day plan felt a bit 'shoe-horned in' - I feel that this book was trying to be too many things. Was it a memoir? Was it a diet book? Was it a nutrition recipe book? Was it a non fiction book about the digestive system?
I think I would have enjoyed it better if it had just been Bennett's journey.

Not gonna lie, this book is a game changer. I was a bit skeptical about reading this book because I read many books on dieting and none of them worked for me. But this book changed my eating habits. Definitely 5 stars. Wonderful writing style, and easy to understand. Huge thanks to Connie Bennett and Netgalley for providing an ARC.

Surprisingly quick read! Great bite-size chunks of advice, but wasn’t quite what I was expecting. Instead of a tried and true method, the author delivers a multitude of options to follow with cutesy names and quick facts of why it’s a helpful option for losing weight. Worth a read, but take with a grain of salt (or don’t if you’re actually trying to drop some pounds).

Well this book came along at just the right time. Why? Well, because I quite literally just blew my diet. Now I have read a lot of diet books over the years and while many cover the same ground (naturally since they all talk about diet and weight loss) in most of them I have found useful bits and pieces in all of them. And if we were just talking standard diet information I would say Connie Bennett’s I Blew Might Diet! Now What? to be a solid addition to the multitude of other diet books. What makes this one different is the addition of Connie’s personal story. I definitely connected and sympathize the the struggle she’s gone through. Does that make this a better diet book than others? I don’t know about it. But what it does, at least for me, make it a more relatable one. Now given that I have just blown my current diet and have only just finished reading the book, how well Bennett’s plan will work for me remains to be seen, but I’m starting out optimistically. Thanks so much to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me access to an advanced review copy.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my digital copy in exchange for an honest review. and honestly? This one was not for me...I liked the parts about her personal journey but the rest was mostly a bunch of information spewed out like any textbook. When a book feels like something that is mostly references I will lose attention so fast it isn't even funny.

This was an informative book! I liked how recipes and shopping lists were included. I think this book is unique because instead of just the usual "eat this and workout that", it went into the psychology of being overweight and how to be healthier. From tapping to mindfulness to meditation and affirmation, this book had a lot of great ideas!

This book is not what I expected when I started reading it. I don't know what I was expecting but I recommend to keep reading. The information isn't new per say, but it's exactly what I needed to read in this moment. I knew some of the information but the implementation hit differently this time. For someone who starts eating "healthy" then gives up after one mistake, this book felt reassuring.

It was ok, a lot of the information isn't new to me. The author is very intent on being helpful but I don't think it's going to work for many people. I thought the best part was about her journey caring for her dying mother.

The book starts with some good reading to get people motivated to get back on track. Some of the suggestions and acronyms didn't work for me. Good recipes and shopping lists are at the back of the book. This wasn't the right book for me but it will work for those needing a hard reset.

This was so helpful in understanding that dieting is more of a lifestyle. Didn't make me feel bad or guilty just a helpful guide.

This was an interesting read!
I was a bit disappointed as I got into the book because the title and the summary made me think this book would focus on guilt and shame and how it can lead to overeating, which then leads to more guilt and shame. It's an endless loop and until we are gentler with ourselves and allow ourselves indulgences without guilt being involved, then I think we will always "blow our diets." The book did touch on the more mental aspects of eating but mainly in chapters 17 to 19. I also felt like the book contradicted itself, like one chapter mentions the focus should be on feeling healthy but then another chapters talks about how "shedding weight" will make your life better. Diet and exercise are about more than just losing weight.
I really loved the illustrations included, they are very cute. And the recipes and groceries list towards the end were great, super helpful.

Nothing groundbreaking, but very helpful, accessible advice on re-starting healthy eating not focused on shame, but addressing root causes of emotional eating. A great guide with helpful tips, tricks, and recipes.

Great general advice about what to do if you have "blown" your diet. It has lots of reminders, lists, motivation, and information to help you get back on track. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC
