The FMC is hilarious! I love that she just talks without a filter (it seems natural and fits well with the story). The MMC reminds of the teachers/carpenter that Phoebe dated on friends 😂 he’s perfect! Not only in appearance but overall! He’s sweet, caring, and willing to learn!! He continues to get EVEN MORE PERFECT!! I love him!! This couple is by far my FAVORITE!! I loved this story so much!! This story concluded in a way that felt true to them and wasn’t wrapped up with cheesiness but realistically. I can’t wait to continue the Dream House Girls!!

Overall this was fine. Overall, I liked the idea of the story but I think I just didn’t really vibe with it..

Follow Your Bliss is a fun and spicy dual POV that is well paced and easy to read, with a beautiful cover that instantly catches a romance reader’s eye. It has a healthy dose of small town, childhood crush and some forced proximity tropes.
I hadn’t come across the topic of organised religion or spirituality in rom coms before - I won’t lie, I was contemplating DNFing when it cropped up as it just isn’t my speed - I was unsure how it would pan out. I’m glad I stuck with it as it was dealt with in a really impartial way and added to the narrative and subsequent growth journey of the two main characters.
The unfiltered, candid nature of Rose’s character really made the book for me. Where some FMCs can come across as saccharine, robotic and unrelatable, I loved her sex positivity. She is a real firecracker; unapologetic and sharp tongued. Jason wasn’t the most memorable MMC ever written but I did enjoy his chapters, he was a thoughtful and kind ‘golden retriever’ which acted as a great foil.
I liked how they communicated, were open and patient with each other for most of the book, even the third act breakup felt like a well intentioned and purposeful arc. The spice was STELLAR! I was blushing in the best way and I think this would keep me coming back for another book in the series.
Ultimately, Follow Your Bliss is a pretty entertaining surface read and if you choose to dive a bit further, is a middle finger to puritan culture while promoting general acceptance/respect for different beliefs and values. At times simplistic, it does still tackle the complexities of external dynamics that can affect a relationship; family expectations, religious and societal pressures which not many books in this genre attempt. Fans of Tessa Bailey, Meghan Quinn and Elsie Silver will enjoy this first instalment of the series!
3.5 stars, rounding to 4 for the sex positivity and spice!

I had the absolute pleasure of getting my hands on an ARC copy of Follow Your Bliss!
First off, the cover is just as stunning as the story inside! This book follows Rose, a bridal seamstress, and Jason, a very swoon-worthy DIY enthusiast. The chemistry between Rose and Jason is undeniable, and their clever banter had me grinning like crazy. I also adored the pictures scattered throughout the story it truly brought the story to life during those special moments!
The book does a fantastic job of addressing anxiety, and the way it's portrayed feels incredibly authentic.
Follow Your Bliss is perfect for readers who crave a blend of sweet and spicy. Rose's humor will have you laughing out loud to yourself, and the dynamic between the characters is just so much fun.
Holly has done an excellent job of addressing trigger warnings at the start of the book so make sure you check those out on her website.
I highly recommend this book, and I’m already excited to dive into Heather’s story next! <3

This was such a cute read. I devoured this so quickly. The relationship & characters were really amazing.

This book was absolutely adorable!! 😍 If you are a fan of Tessa Bailey, you are going to love this book!! I loved it so much I devoured it in a day and a half!
The FMC Rose doesn't believe in marriage, yet her profession is designing and making wedding dresses!! She is funny and sweet. I feel like so many romance authors have a hard time finding the line on making the FMC be cute and quirky but not unbearable and annoying. Holly Rose did such a good job with this!!
The MMC Jason is THEE perfect golden retriever boyfriend! I honestly loved him. My only gripe...is his name haha! I do not love the name Jason, so I just called him Jace while I was reading 🤣
*Dual POV
*forced proximity
*friends to lovers
*golden retriever MMC
Such a cute love story with plenty of spice 🥵 I absolutely CANNOT WAIT to read the rest of the Dream House Girls series and look forward to any other romance series this author puts out!!
HUGE thank you to Star Siren Press, Holly Rose, and Netgalley for an eArc copy of the book to read and review.

I absolutely loved this book!!! The banter was just wonderful and light hearted. The character development was spot on and I loved the way the story flowed!

This book offers a breezy, heartwarming escape, filled with witty banter, endearing mishaps, and just enough chemistry to keep the pages turning. The love interest is suitably charming, with enough depth to make their dynamic engaging, even if some of their conflicts feel a bit predictable.
While the book excels in humor and sweet moments, the protagonist’s personal growth occasionally takes a backseat to the romantic plot. A deeper exploration of their emotional journey could have added more weight to their happily-ever-after.
That said, the supporting cast adds plenty of fun, and the romantic tension is well-paced, making it easy to root for the central couple. The writing is light and engaging, perfect for readers looking for a feel-good story with a few laughs along the way. If you don’t mind a little predictability and enjoy banter-filled romance, this book is a charming pick—just don’t expect too much introspection between the meet-cutes and grand gestures.

Follow Your Bliss by Holly Rose is a slow-burn, second-chance romance that blends sweetness, spice, and just the right amount of emotional tension.
Rose, a skilled wedding dress designer, reconnects with Jason, a rugged furniture maker turning an old church into a home.
Their long-held crushes spark back to life when Rose is hired to design his sister’s wedding dress, pulling them into each other’s orbit once again.
As they navigate building their businesses—Jason with a strong social media following and Rose just beginning—he encourages her to step out of her comfort zone.
Their chemistry builds gradually, layered with witty banter and shared vulnerability, but personal baggage and family pressure—especially Jason’s desire to prove himself to his disapproving mother—lead to a heartbreaking third-act breakup.
Still, the dual POV adds emotional depth, and the journey to their well-earned HEA is tender, steamy, and deeply satisfying.
There are really cute graphics and texts shared throughout the book that I found added a lot of charm.

I was drawn to this book because of the gorgeous cover, and the premise seemed so fun so I was excited to have the opportunity to read the ARC.
This book is for readers who love instant attraction, silly banter, free-spoken FMCs and soft MMCs. The writing style is fun and easy to follow.
Rose is a wedding dress designer, who after many years ends up moving in with her childhood crush, who happens to be the brother of the bride she's currently designing for. Jason makes furniture and does home renovations, and also runs a very successful social media channel where he shares videos of his work, and he's eager to help Rose create her own channel that will help grow her business.
Interactions between Rose and Jason were very cute and funny, and the dynamic between them was taken in a fresh direction. The chemistry was there, the spice was there, and I loved seeing them work together as partners. While compatible in many ways, there seemed to be a disconnect between the characters in certain areas that I couldn’t overlook; their reactions to some situations made them appear a little childish, which took me out of the story.
I very much related to certain insecurities they both had, and appreciate the anxiety and emotional trauma representation.
Overall, it’s a sweet and fun story, with just a little bit of delicious angst.

Thank you so much to Netgalley, Star Siren Press and the author for providing me with an arc copy in exchange for an honest review.
Rose and Jason have known each other pretty much for their entire lives, at different points in their lives they also had crushes on each other, and in Follow your bliss we seem them reconnect when life brings them back living in the same place. The two end up striking a deal to help each other, they become friends and later succumb to their mutual attraction.
Well, this was a cute and nice romance but, unfortunately, nothing more. I don't really know why, I just feel like I couldn't connect to the story. The characters were okay, their interactions were cute and funny. The story is very fast-paced so maybe that's the reason why I couldn't enjoy it properly.

Follow Your Bliss was very cute romance with great banter, perfect level of spice, and emotional connections between Rose & Jason.
i love romance novels when there’s dual pov, great connection, funny moments, slow burn, and happy endings.
give me a bucket list, friends to lovers, childhood crushes, and forced proximity any day.

I loved this book. Rose and Jason are perfect for each other. This is such a spicy, sexy, hot tamale of a book. A dress designer and woodworker. Oh yeah baby.

Jason is renovating an old church into a home and Rose is a seamstress designing and making wedding dresses. They are both trying to build their own businesses. Jason already has a large following on social media and he’s trying to help Rose to increase her social media presence. This isn’t really insta love because they’ve both had crushes on each other in the past. The wedding of Jason’s sister brings them together again because Rose is making her dress. Could this time be more than a crush? They both have to work through some personal issues with trust but Jason also wants to please his mother since she didn’t like his previous girlfriend. Overall this is a sweet story with plenty of funny banter and a good amount of spicy scenes. The duel POV worked well helping the reader understand each characters inner thoughts & feelings 🌹
Thank you to Netgalley & Star Siren Press for the eArc in exchange for an honest review

I really enjoyed this book as I was looking for something that was modern as opposed to my typical fantasy tastes. I appreciated the link for trigger warnings. I think this book covers issues that many people have had to deal with and does so in a sensitive and intellegent way. The level of spice is what I was looking for but may not be for eveyone. The open and candid messages about sex positivity were also greatly appreciated.

Really more like a 3.5.
This book wasn’t anything special honestly, but I enjoyed reading it. I’d say the only thing I actively disliked was how Jason is initially portrayed as a sort of uber-religious guy but then it really strays from that. I prefer that it strayed but it was weird that he was introduced that way.
The fake insta comments were honestly probably the highlight of the book simply because of their accuracy and creativity.
There is a third act “breakup”, but I appreciated that it wasn’t for a stupid reason.
The smutty scenes were also good!

This was a fun, fast-paced read that I really enjoyed. Rose and Jason had great chemistry, and their banter was a highlight for me. I loved that despite their differences, they never judged each other for their beliefs, and they found a way to respect and coexist with them. It made their romance feel even more real.
Rose’s journey of trying to rebuild her career was interesting, and I really felt for her struggles. Jason’s storyline, especially his efforts to make amends with his family, added a nice depth to his character. I also liked the dual POV because it helped me understand both characters’ thoughts and emotions. That said, there were moments where it felt a bit repetitive—we’d get a scene from Rose’s perspective, and then Jason would essentially repeat the same thoughts. It wasn’t bad, just something I noticed.
Overall, Follow Your Bliss was an easy, enjoyable read with great character dynamics, engaging banter, and a solid romance. If you’re looking for a small-town, opposites-attract love story with some family drama and personal growth, this one is worth picking up!

A romance that didn’t work for me, but may appeal to fans of bold, unfiltered storytelling.
Follow Your Bliss has an intriguing premise—a wedding dress designer who’s sworn off love, forced into close quarters with her middle-school crush. However, while I was excited by the setup, the execution left me struggling to stay engaged.
The biggest issue for me was the protagonist’s internal voice, which was packed with profanity from the very first line. Lines like “I bet he tasted as good as an orgasm felt” (in the second chapter) made it difficult to connect with her, and the constant crude language overshadowed any emotional depth. While some readers might find this relatable or entertaining, it pulled me out of the story.
On the positive side, Jason was a genuinely sweet love interest, and the romance had its steamy moments. The chemistry was there, and I appreciated his patience and kindness. However, the emotional development felt underwhelming, especially given the deeper themes of family dynamics and self-worth that had potential but were never fully explored.
Overall, this book wasn’t for me, but fans of no-filter, modern romance with a heavy emphasis on spice might enjoy it. If you love strong-willed heroines with a sharp tongue and don’t mind a lot of explicit language, this could be worth picking up.

I ADORE this book so much. The writing is so fresh and voicey, and the plot is easy to follow and super engaging.
The chemistry between Rose and Jason was so tangible, but the romance was also so sweet. And the steamy moments? SPICY. Jason is the sweetest guy ever, and I love that he’s so understanding of Rose’s past and what she wants out of a relationship without setting his own needs and wants aside. Rose is a firecracker, and she brings color to Jason’s world in a way that no other woman has before.
Rose and Jason had fantastic character arcs that felt believable. Both had flaws and weaknesses that made them feel real and relatable. And the ending was very satisfying.
I can’t wait to read the next interconnected standalone in the series! Holly Rose’s books are instant reads.
