After a foiled hijacking with a hijacker who didn’t seem like he actually wanted to do it, Kristine and Andrew, along with their friends from the first three books in this series, dig into the case. Little is as it appears and a shocking tie-in to a long ago past case makes little sense.

This was a solid book that I liked and fans of this author and series will enjoy it.

This is Christian fiction so expect prayer and discussions of faith.

Family friendly.

I really enjoyed this latest novel by Lynette Eason! I believe her writing just keeps getting better and better. This was one that I had a hard time putting down. I felt like I was part of the story and I couldn’t wait to find out how it was going to end. This one had non-stop action and suspense throughout. This book started out with a bang as there was a hijacker on the plane. I loved the chemistry between Kristine and Andrew. They ran into all kinds of obstacles and new developments along the way. There were so many twists and turns throughout and a great big twist at the end! I highly recommend this book and all of Lynette Eason’s books!

I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest opinion.

This book was really really good. I was drawn in from the first page and didn't want to put the book down.
I really enjoyed these characters and their lives.

As with all Lynette Eason books, I expected a good read and got one. I never saw the ending coming. Good use of misdirection :)

Whew what a flight! Lynette Eason out does herself as she brings the Lake City Heroes series to a dramatic conclusion.
Eason navigates this tumultuous story line with lots of turbulence. There are so many ups and downs an threads to pull. But she does it expertly and keeps readers engages from start to finish. Andrew and Kristine are the hold outs in this friend group and of course are thrown together to navigate the friendly or not so friendly skies as they try to uncover the secrets of a hijacker, who disrupted their vacation, with his less than honorable actions.
I enjoyed this story and definitely had my suspicions as I read through the repeated chaos Eason puts these friends through. It was fun to see what it would take for Kristine and Andrew to come to their senses and realize they were meant to be together for always.
Thank you to NetGalley and Revell for the opportunity to read this series finale. All opinions are my own.

I can always count on Eason to provide a thrilling story built off wonderful characters. The series surrounds a close group of first responders and law enforcement with a deep love of faith. The couples are there for each other in personal need and working cases. Each book is for a new couple and new case, however friends are always around from other books. This one was a big storyline with multiple situations, a puzzling amount of suspects and some deep personal matters. I definitely recommend reading the series in order, or it spoils some of the relationships, to grasp how amazing this group of characters truly is and how it’s easy to envy them. This book has everything to intrigue the mind and heart. I enjoyed an early copy from the publisher and wrote this review voluntarily.

What a thrill ride! Final Approach kept me eagerly turning the pages in this fantastic finale to a great romantic suspense series! Lynette Eason knows how to keep a reader enthralled from the very first. This story starts off with a plane hijacking & the non-stop action ratchets up from there. With a slow burn romance, many twists & turns, & a lovely faith thread, this story did not disappoint.

Air Marshal Kristine Duncan’s on a flight to Key West with a group of her law enforcement friends & FBI Special Agent Andrew Ross whom she hopes to get to know better on the trip. When a hijacker tries to take control of the plane, Kristine & Andrew work together with their colleagues to subdue the guy & safely land the plane. Though their plans are dashed, they get to work closely together to investigate the hijacker. But, it seems like someone’s out to sabotage Kristine, & just when they think they have the suspects figured out, there’s another twist. As their relationship grows, they have to decide if it’s worth the risk as they find themselves in one dangerous situation after another.

I thoroughly enjoyed this fast-paced suspense! There were so many twists, red herrings, & intense, action-packed scenes. Just when I thought they were safe, there’s another attempt on their lives. I had my suspicions as to who the villain was, but it wasn’t until the end that the puzzle pieces all came together.

Loved Kristine’s & Andrew’s slow burn romance. They’re both attracted to each other, but are reluctant to share their feelings. I enjoyed seeing their romance progress from friends & confidants to more. The faith thread was beautifully woven in throughout the story as Kristine & Andrew share their deepest regrets & failures & find understanding & forgiveness. I also enjoyed seeing familiar faces from the previous books.

Highly recommend this book & the entire series to romantic suspense fans! Thought part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. I received an advanced copy from the publisher with no expectation of a positive review. All opinions are my own & provided voluntarily. 4.5 to 5 stars!

Readers who have eagerly waited for the conclusion to the Lake City Heroes series will not be disappointed, Starting with a bang, this story is filled with suspense and action to the end. Very fast paced and highly addictive. Those who have not read the first three books will not want to miss them. Can be read as a stand-alone. Highly recommended!

Lynette Eason has some seriously special skills in writing superb novels of intrigue and mystery and, of course, danger at every corner. In the 4th book of her series entitled Lake City Heroes, Final Approach had a winding plot so bewildering, it thrilled and confused me all at once. I thought I knew the main culprit and I was right. But I was still awe-struck at the intricacies and the depth of the deception. I highly recommend this series!!

An excellent finale to one of my favorite suspense series. I have loved getting to know this group of law enforcement buddies and each of their stories were such fun reads. “Final Approach” kept me on the absolute edge of my seat. I really enjoyed the elements of the attempted plane hijacking and how the mystery evolved from there. I also liked that the romance elements were there but very understated for most of the story. The focus is really on the case and that was really cool. A fantastic read for an avid Christian Fiction suspense reader like myself.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher and also pre-ordered an audio copy for myself and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

There is a whole lot more to this story than first appears. It was like peeling an onion, layer by layer, but with every layer, the mystery deepened further. Take nothing for granted when reading this mystery.

This cast of characters are some of my favorite fictional characters. I adore this series. This one showcases Air Marshal Kristine Duncan and FBI Special Agent Andrew Ross. Kristine and a lot of other law enforcement personnel are on a flight heading to paradise. Kristine is on duty, and ends up thwarting a hijacking. Needless to say the vacation is off the table.

As the investigation begins, the puzzle gets more confusing as this man has never done anything criminal in his life. At this point, you better hang on tight for a wild and crazy ride as the characters' desperate need for truth and justice continually put them in harm's way. The past and present are colliding at Mach speed. The twists were completely insane.

This faith infused story was so many levels of insanity in all the ways that thriller seekers like myself enjoy reading about.

I had some ideas about what was going on, but I was still thrown off balance as to just how depraved some people can be.

This breeze of brilliance will probably be in my top ten reads for this year. A inspirational romantic suspense book does not get much better than this one.

Final Approach is a thrilling, satisfying conclusion to the wonderful Lake City Heroes series! The intriguing plot--with fast-paced action, gripping suspense, and compelling characters--pulled me in immediately and kept me engrossed and guessing all the way to the unexpected, startling ending. I totally enjoyed Kristine and Andrew's story and catching up with friends from the earlier books in the series. An investigation of an attempted hijacking turns out to be significantly more in this richly crafted, emotion-packed, multi-layered narrative with much to explore, unravel, and uncover. The much appreciated, encouraging faith thread, naturally woven into the story, and sweet romantic tension enhance the drama and emotion. I highly recommend this book and the series! Note: This book can easily be read as a standalone.

Final Approach makes a fantastic conclusion to the Lynette Eason's Lake City Heroes series - but I'm not ready for it to end! I've enjoyed both the characters and their comradery, and I wish this wasn't the end.

I don't think I've ever read a book that featured an air marshal before, and Kristine Duncan makes a fascinating one. Her backstory gave her great depth, and I love the strength that Eason gave her.

Andrew Ross is protective, kind, and his parents own a bookstore - could there be a more perfect hero? The combination of these two as lead characters is a perfect pairing.

I loved the intricacy of the plot and the emphasis on healthy relationships. If you can call such a suspenseful story 'fun,' than this definitely was one. I figured out the bad guy pretty early on, so while I wasn't surprised, I did enjoy figuring out all the details as the action played out.

Whether you solve whodunnit or you're surprised at the end, Final Approach is a fantastic summer read, and definitely one that you can't miss if you've been working your way through the Lake City Heroes series (though each can stand alone). I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

** “God can use all kinds of situations.” **

Lynette Eason continues her thrilling Lake City Heroes series with the extremely intense “Final Approach.”

Air Marshal Kristine Duncan is on her final work-related flight before a fun vacation with her friends to Key West when something just doesn’t feel right. So when passenger Marcus Brown attempts to take over the plane, she quickly reacts with help from several of her law enforcement friends on the plane, including FBI Special Agent Andrew Ross.

As Kristine and Andrew work together to figure out the reasonings behind the incident, more and more deadly occurrences happen to them and their friends. Can they determine who is responsible and how several events are related?

As usual Eason does an incredible job of creating a fast-paced, heart-thumping thriller filled with a touch of romance too. She always creates characters that have real flaws, troubled pasts and relatable issues, and she always manages to leave the reader guessing until the very end.

She also fills “Final Approach” with several great themes, like be honorable and have integrity; God can use all circumstances for His good; love people; repent and express remorse when you do wrong; lack of forgiveness can lead to bitterness and hate; finding forgiveness for one’s own mistakes; and trust and betrayal.

Fans of authors like Janice Cantore, Kelly Irvin, Terri Blackstock and Irene Hannon will love “Final Approach,” which is due out Aug. 5.

Five stars out of five.

I’ve really enjoyed the previous books in this series, and this installment kept me turning the pages. Air Marshal Kristine and a group of friends—including FBI agent Andrew—are en route to a well-deserved vacation when their flight is hijacked. What begins as a mid-air crisis quickly spirals into a deeper investigation, especially when it becomes clear someone is trying to discredit Kristine and push her off the case.

The romance is a slow burn—both Kristine and Andrew are cautious, but the intensity of the investigation keeps bringing them together. As the stakes rise, so do the feelings. There are plenty of tense, nail-biting moments and a twist I didn’t see coming. If you’re a fan of the series, you’ll definitely enjoy this one too.

I always enjoy a new book by Lynette Eason and this one certainly did not disappoint! Air Marshall Kristine is supposed to be on vacation with her friends from Lake City when the plane is abruptly hijacked. She uses her professional skills to try to defuse the situation, is somewhat successful, but ends up not going on vacation as her FBI friends on board have to investigate the hijacking. Nothing is as it seems in this thrilling why-do-it from this master of the genre. We know who did it, but the motive is elusive and the clues just pile up. Kristine and her friend FBI Agent Andrew seem to be chasing shadows as a clue appears and then points in another direction. The story is compelling as they try to solve the mystery and as Andrew and Kristine both find themselves endangered, but they don’t know from whom. Following the clues was highly entertaining, especially with all of the red herrings that led me on a merry chase down several dead ends. With danger getting closer and the friends unable to find a motive, Kristine uses her powerful deductive reasoning abilities as well as events from her past to take us on a roller coaster ride to the truth, a truth that was surprising but not totally unexpected. I really enjoyed the fast-paced plot with non-stop action and the appearances of all of the Lake City heroes from previous books in the series. This book can definitely be read and enjoyed as a standalone, but I would highly recommend reading the entire series so that the backstory for each character can help you understand the intricate connections between each of them.

“Final Approach” by Lynette Eason is a well-crafted tale that will keep readers on the edge of their seats, constantly guessing at what comes next. US Air Marshal Kristine and her friends are off on a well-deserved vacation, when a suspicious passenger grabs Kristine’s attention. She is reassured that her friends are almost all law enforcement members as well. FBI agent, Andrew, is looking forward to this trip away to get to know Kristine better. Their plans are foiled by an attempted hijacking. The friends must work together to keep everyone safe. But back on the ground, the dangers keep on coming! One threat after another comes at the group, specifically Kristine, Andrew, and Hank. What is the common factor? Are they each under threats or is it just one person? Things are not adding up, and the suspense rises with the dangers. As she juggles all of that, Kristine has family issues to navigate with a sister who is in the hospital after an accident and her controlling father overreaching and interfering in their adult lives. Andrew has the added concern of a wayward cousin wanting to come live with his parents. The author does a wonderful job showing us real-to-life situations where her characters have to navigate these tricky family dynamics.
The characters are well developed. The plot is excellent. The suspense is well-planned and executed. The resolution is not what I predicted at the beginning at all. The faith elements are real to life and feel natural, not forced. Kristine and Andrew both rely on God in their daily lives and it is an encouragement for me to do the same. I highly recommend this book to lovers of suspense or anyone needing a good literary adventure.

SPECTACULAR FROM START TO FINISH!

In FINAL APPROACH, the fourth book in the Lake City Heroes series, author Lynette Eason takes readers on a thrilling crime-solving adventure. The story begins with a group of friends, all involved in some form of law enforcement, on a plane heading to a much-anticipated vacation. Among them are a married couple, a few who are dating, and Air Marshal Kristine Duncan and FBI Special Agent Andrew Ross, who are eager to spend more time together to explore the potential for a relationship.

However, none of them expected their plane to be hijacked. Eason launches the story with this dramatic opening scene, capturing the reader's attention and immersing them in the experience. You feel as if you are on the plane, witnessing the professionals respond to the crisis without missing a beat. Despite being a group that has only worked together occasionally, they function like a well-organized team, seamlessly trading responsibilities as needed.

The hijacking is just the beginning of the challenges Kristine and Andrew face. This plot stands out as one of the best I have encountered in quite some time, as Eason skillfully leads the two through an intricate cat-and-mouse thriller filled with incidents that have unfolded over the years and continue into the present. Mischief, mayhem, and murder surround them, forcing them to run for their lives. They approach the investigation from various angles, and their final revelations about the mastermind behind it all will leave you speechless. This book is a fascinating read, and I highly recommend it!
