Interesting plot. It will scare you to get on a plane. Characters well written and likeable. Plot is complicated and keeps you guessing

**Thank you to Revell for an ARC of this book via NetGalley! These thoughts are my honest opinions.**
I enjoyed this book to some extent, but it also had some things I didn't like. First, though, I loved the faith through-line! Lynette Eason's books are always very thoughtful and full of faith, which I appreciate.
However, the characters fell flat for me. The main characters have the typical story of tragedies that haunt them, and I found it to be a very predictable plot point. I thought the backstories of the characters were just flat, which in turn led to the characters themselves feeling flat. I will say, though, Kristine's issues were more interesting and fleshed out. Overall, I didn't feel invested in the characters, which was disappointing.
I also found the plot to be a little flat and slightly slow, despite all the crazy stuff that happens. I di not see the ending coming, though!
Overall, I was slightly disappointed in how bored I felt while reading.

The sky is not always friendly, just as Air Marshall Kristine Duncan and FBI Special Agent Andrew Ross.
Fasten your seatbelt and prepare for a bumpy ride through the pages of Lynette Eason’s latest thriller. This is an extraordinary tale of survival and tragedy in the skies.
If you enjoy heart-stopping suspense, jaw-dropping surprises and a great escape from reality, this fourth installment in the Lake City Heroes will satisfy your cravings. I got lost in a captivating story where ordinary people faced extraordinary circumstances and navigated the treacherous aftermath of the final approach. I was in awe of the characters' courage, their reliance on their faith, the adversity they faced and their unstoppable human spirit.
I loved Eason’s spotlight on revenge! We all carry burdens, and we all have the potential to let them make us bitter. Kristine blazes the way in showing us how to replace the bitterness and become better.
“All she could do was work on forgiving him so she didn’t become bitter and filled with a hate that was never far away. But that was a choice. And she was choosing to be free of him and his hold on her life.”
We all have a limited time on this Earth. Eason’s book encourages us to make the most of it…starting with the choices we make daily.
I was gifted this copy and was under no obligation to provide a review.

Wow! From the first chapter, this book races to a conclusion that twists, answers hidden behind layers of action. I raced the hero and heroine to the answer (and was just a step ahead of them). Air Marshal Kristine Duncan has had something to prove since her mom's plane was hijacked and crashed. FBI Special Agent Andrew Ross is still recovering from an undercover stint and the tragedy that happened at the end of it. The book opens with a flight they are on and doesn't end until another flight at the end. It's literally a race from chapter to chapter to stay ahead of the accidents that seem to chase them. The characters (and reader) can barely catch their breath in the best way. Add in layers of romance and faith, and this book brings the richness I love from Lynette Eason's books. Highly recommend for those who love page-turning suspense with strong romantic tension.

Final Approach is the final book in the Lake City Heroes series. I like how the book carries on the characters and friendships from the previous books in the series. I love all the action and suspense, yet it's not too fast paced so you are able to get to know the characters and see their struggles and interactions with each other. It was an awesome read, and I couldn't put the book down. Pull up a seat and hold on for a great ride.
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and was not required to leave a positive review.

Wow!! Buckle up and hang on! Final Approach is the last book in the Lake City Heroes series and it is the perfect conclusion! The main characters, Andrew and Kristine are so dynamic and perfectly imperfect, which makes them so relatable. The plot grabbed me from page one and made it almost impossible to put down. And finally, the end. Just WOW! The ending was so good and unexpected!
Overall, the book was fantastic and I would give it more then 5 stars if I could.
I was given this book to read and review - all opinions are my own!

What an interesting book from start to finish!!!! So much heart stopping excitement from page 1 that I had a difficult time stopping each night. The characters were so realistic, as well as the storyline. Each character who has a relationship with the Lord has a deep relationship that flows from the pages. You are able to take something Biblical from each of this author's books to help you with your walk with the Lord.
And I was caught completely off guard towards the end......Lynette Eason never disappoints.

What an amazing book. I was unable to put it down once I'd started reading. The storyline is gripping with many twists and turns. Some of the tragedy felt so real, but the friends and family support was amazing to follow.

Lynette Eason is one of my favorite Christian suspense writers. Her novels aren't scary, but they will keep you guessing. Final Approach is no different. It is action-packed with an additional layer of family dynamics and outside criminal activity that I don't think was in the previous installments as much.
In previous Lake City Heroes novels, I felt like the romance was awkward at times, with the characters declaring love or having romantic thoughts at strange times. Final Approach was much less "cringey" with the romance. Andrew and Kristine's relationship felt more real, with it developing over time and really anchored in serving each other and their deeper conversations.
This plot has so many twists and turns, leaving me guessing until the very end. Well done, Lynette Eason!
A special thank you to NetGalley and Revell for this complimentary ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The story immediately dives into excitement.
Andrew has come out of a tough situation in the gang unit, under cover and has not allowed himself the freedom to relax since then. Being part of the friends group with Kristine has brought about a desire to open up to someone.
Kristine’s family life has been strained for as long as she can remember. Her mom’s death while a stewardess on a hijacked plane inspired her to become an air marshal. But her decision worries her father and his need to keep his kids close and safe, is driving the family apart.
God is bringing Andrew and Kristine together and opening their hearts. But sometimes it takes fire to melt those hearts. This book was on edge. The mystery was great. The author did a great job of keeping me guessing. I had a hard time putting this book down. It’s constantly on the move and you don’t have a chance to get bored.

Wow! I just finished reading Final Approach, book number 4 in Lynette Eason's Lake City Heroes series. It was such a fanatastic read that I am struggling to decide what to read next. I loved the characters, the setting and the plot twists kept me on the edge of my seat! Ms. Eason did a fantastic job of weaving faith into her characters in a way that was natural and not forced. I am very sad to see this series end as I have become quite fond of these characters, perhaps they will make cameos in future books and update us as to what is going on in their lives!
So block out some reading time, get a pitcher of your favorite beverage, and settle in for thrilling conclusion to the Lake City Heroes by Lynette Eason!
I was given a copy of this book with no expectations. All thoughts are my own.

This is such a good suspense read. There are so many pieces to the puzzle where the picture keeps changing on you. The story wraps you in its web and doesn't let go. There is plenty of action in this thriller. This is romantic suspense at its best.

4 of 5 Stars
An exciting conclusion to another epic series by Lynette Eason. Kristine, Andrew, and their friends are on a plane during a hijacking. Nothing is really as it seems. This book has several twists that I didn't see coming.
I received an ARC copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

Air Marshall Kristine Duncan had just departed Lake City North Carolina with her friends on a trip to Key West Florida for a vacation. Her friend FBI Special Agent Andrew Ross sat across the aisle being alert to deal with any situation.
None of them knew what was about to happen - Kristi watched a man furtively enter the lavatory and stay for 10 minutes, Andrew entered the lavatory and Kristine signaled Amanda and Jeff and they went to take their positions at opposite ends of the plane.
The passenger jumped up, slipped his hand into his pocket and Amanda warned him to sit down. Instead he pulled out a homemade knife and held it to a womans' neck and made her leave her seat while he demanded access to the cockpit.
He slashed a fellow passenger who tried to help and then threatened another female passenger, but Andrew crept up fast and twisted the hijackers hand down and back and subdued him.
The hijacker was a man suffering from terminal cancer who wanted to leave money for his family.
But the man hid the money he was paid and Kristine is being hunted by the kidnappers boss....

I love a good mystery, and this one was so twisted! Final Approach was not predictable, and I loved it!

Thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
This is the final book in the Lake City Heroes series and it is fantastic! I recommend reading the entire series for full effect.
Spiritual lessons are inserted throughout.
Air Marshal Kristine Duncan is not on duty when a hijacker attempts to seize control of the plane she and her friends are on as they head out on a much-needed vacation. Jumping into action and aided by FBI Special Agent Andrew Ross, Kristine thwarts the attack and the plane lands safely. But as the investigation into the incident gets underway, Kristine and Andrew are confused at every step. Nothing about the investigation goes as it should, and each layer they peel back just reveals another layer of perplexity.
As the two work together to navigate a web of deception, blame, and personal reckoning, they find there's more to this story than meets the eye--and more to love and admire about each other. They'll have to put their skills to the test--and their hearts on the line--to unravel the truth and ensure that justice prevails.

Oh have mercy, what a ride this book will take you on. This is the last book in the series and I'm sad to see it end. It can be read as a stand alone but I think it is better to read the whole series, so you will have the whole gangs back stories. It starts out with the group of friends going on a vacation, but right after take off, the plane is hijacked. From there it is a constant roller coaster of multiple incidents that keeps occuring. Will they catch a break and solve who is behind everything or are there multiple villains at work? How will the hijacking affect Kristine , since that is how her Mama died on a hijacked plane? Will Andrew be able to put his past behind him or is it catching up to him? Grab your copy to find out all these answers and get ready for one wild ride. I want to thank Netgalley and the publisher for an early copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own thoughts of the book.

The 'final' book in the Lake City Heroes series and it was a good read. I really liked the ending of the book - you'll see when you get there as this is a spoiler free review. You can definitely read this book as a stand alone but you will want to go back and read the previous books.
This book was busy (in a good way) as it had several threads it was tugging on at all times. This kept the action levels up and the story engaging. Well written and I enjoyed the characters - I also want to try Mike's cheesecake! I also enjoyed the faith element woven in. Will definitely be recommending it on!
I receive complimentary books from various sources, including NetGalley, authors, and others. I am not required to write a positive review and have not received any compensation.

If you have not had the chance to start or finish this series, DO IT NOW. We came back to the final installment of the Lake City Heroes and all friend group with their significant others. This is Kristine & Andrew’s story which I do believe you will love. The book starts off with a bang and continues to just keep blowing your mind. I loved this explosive start to the end of the series, although I’m super sad the series is over (maybe we’ll see some characters from Lake City in other books, Lynette? Fingers crossed 🤞🏼)
I don’t always give books a 10 star but this way a 10 out of 10 to me!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

This is the final installment in the Lake City Heroes Series. While each book can stand alone, I highly recommend reading the entire series to fully immerse yourself in these captivating and riveting stories!
In this tale, Kristine, an Air Marshal, boards a plane with her closest colleagues and friends, looking forward to a week of sun and relaxation on the beach. Suddenly, a hijacker attempts to take control of the aircraft. Kristine, along with FBI Special Agent Andrew, manages to thwart the hijacking, and the plane lands safely.
However, the investigation into the hijack attempt quickly hits dead ends. Each time progress seems possible, new challenges arise. Adding to the tension, Kristine's sister lies in a coma following a tragic car accident that claimed the life of one of her friends. Meanwhile, Andrew faces his own crisis when his parents' bookstore is robbed, and he mysteriously goes missing.
I never could have anticipated the startling conclusion to this spellbinding story! I have been a fan of Lynette Eason's clean, romantic, and suspenseful novels for many years, but this book took me on an unexpectedly wild ride!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All comments and opinions are my own.
