I’m loving the Lake City Heroes series by Lynette Eason. Final Approach, the fourth book in the series, brings lots of intrigue, questions, suspense and of course romance. Lynette has long been one of my favorite authors. She writes the right balance in her books between anticipation and a story you can envision possibly happening, that keeps you turning the pages.

Air Marshall Kristine Duncan and FBI Special Agent Andrew Ross are on a flight with all their friends for a nice vacation when they are hijacked. After they defuse the situation they return to Lake City to sort it out. Only then the intrigue heightens.

Final Approach is the fourth book in the Lake City Heroes series. While this is a great series and one I'd highly recommend, I do think this could be enjoyed as a standalone without any issues as well.

Lynette Eason never fails to deliver stories that will keep you on the very edge of your seat... and this one was certainly no exception. Right from the start this story drew me into the action with an attempted high jacking. Talk about a way to kick off a book! The suspense didn't let up from there, keeping me captivated from start to finish, wondering what was going to happen next and how it was all going to play out. Just when it seemed like there was going to be a bit of a break, something else would happen to keep me guessing. Having read a lot of suspense, I'm generally pretty good at seeing the twists coming, but I have to admit, this one really surprised me... in the absolute best ways possible! I couldn't get enough of the action. While I think the action is what really took the center stage in this one for me, I also loved the romance between Kristine and Andrew as well. If you love Christian romantic suspense, this is certainly one you're going to want to experience for yourself.

Ah, I was so glad to return to this friend group for one final new story (not time, because the whole series is definitely worth rereading!) with the last couple getting their turn in the spotlight.

From the very beginning, this story grips you, with hints of a thriller plot in addition to the pulse-pounding action and suspense Eason is famous for. Clues pop-up about who the villain is and his/her motivation, and even though I correctly guessed who, I was kept on the edge of my seat wondering how everything would unravel.

Kristine and Andrew are wonderful MCs, persistent, independent, and caring, yet each with unique backstories that make them well-rounded and different. I especially appreciated the tension of Kristine wanting to honor and love her father, but recognizing the need for boundaries and autonomy from him.

With regular appearances from other characters I already know and love, this book is an easy addition to my growing collection of favorite Eason books. This is one that’s definitely worth rereading for the themes, the suspense, and the thread of romance!

I'm going to miss this series, and this final installment did not disappoint!
This Kristine Duncan's story, she is an Air Marshall, and then we have FBI Special Agent Andrew Ross, whom end up together to find out more about the attempted high jacking, that included Kristine and some of her friends enbarking on a now cancelled trip.
There is so much action here, bullets flying, cars ramming, and brakes failing. Danger! Don't get to comfortable, just when things start to settle down, another attack happens!
What a story this author wove, at times you can't catch your breath before something else happens, what is going on?
When the answers came, to say I was surprised would be an understatement! I never expected what was happening. Wow, and sad at the same time!
This is a don't miss read, and I loved the epilogue. We are also offered a teaser of a book that comes out next year!
I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Revell, and was not required to give a positive review.

Buckle up. Get ready for an exciting, breathless ride. Final Approach has it all—a plane hijacking, a gang, mounting danger and attacks, a mystery, twists and turns, family dynamics, and red herrings. Both Kristine and Andrew have baggage from their past. The plot was engaging, the story drew me straight in from the beginning, the characters were well-written, and the suspense was riveting and heart-pounding. Eason weaves spiritual threads into this story naturally.
