A wonderful concept of a story with twists that I did not expect. How fitting that a couple named Adam and Eve should meet, to continue what their relatives before them undertook. Their stories combined with the stories of the past and the wonderful antiques and books that their shops contain, makes this a novel that will keep you interested until the end.

Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a review.
Read whilst on holiday, it was a perfect summer holiday read. Really interesting storyline. Loved it.

I really enjoyed the beginning of this story. . Ali’s writing in this was as always addictive and I was hooked. It’s one not to be missed.

This was another lovely book but I found the combination of magical realism and a World War Two mystery a bit strange.
After Eve, who owns an antiques shop in Cambridge, organises the clearance of Adam’s grandfather’s house, they become good friends. Adam even sets up a bookshop next door in the magical Clockmaker’s Court. Soon, they discover a mystery resembling a jigsaw puzzle about their grandparents who knew each other leading them to find answers to various questions. As they delve into the project that their grandparents were working on together, their journey takes them into different dimensions..,
I especially liked the development of the relationship between Adam and Eve. Both damaged people, they are reluctant to share their tragic secrets until they can share love and trust.

What a stunning book! Set in Cambridge, it tells the story of how Eve and Adam are cunningly bought together by a previous generation. Loved how the story was woven together with glimpses of the past.

I just love Ali McNamaras writing style. This one was a bit different and hit with YA vibes. It didnt really give me the romcom vibes I have come to know and love but I enjoyed it nonetheless and couldn’t wait to find out what each characters ending would be.

Eve owns an antique shop and Adam wants his grandads house cleared. Adam contacts Eve as his grandad had said he wanted her antique shop to do it.
As Adam buys the empty shop near Eve,
they discover a hidden door in his shop and her shop and they try and find out what’s behind it and the history behind it and the connection between their great grandparents.
Will anything be the same after they find out the truth?
I have always loved Ali’s books and this didn’t disappoint. I wasn’t expecting this book to go down the fantasy route but loved every minute of it.

This was a quirky read. It wasn’t quite what I was expecting, but once I started I couldn’t stop. Such a unique story about the possibility of time travel, I loved all the clues and the characters that we met from different times along the way. Having the characters be called Adam and Eve made me chuckle too.
I loved the criss crossing timelines, and really appreciated the effort that must have gone in to making sure that nothing got mixed up, working with time lines and branches, gets confusing and complicated quickly.
This was a lovely read, that really got you thinking about what if?

Fabulous new book from Ali McNamara, full of magic, love, friendship and family. Absolutely brilliant!!
Eve runs her grandparent's antique shop near the centre of Cambridge, in a very unique way by finding out the story behind all the items to make a purchase all the more special. Eve also does the odd house clearance, so when she is asked to go to nearby Grantchester to help with a clearance, the last thing she is expecting is to meet Adam at his late grandfather’s house and feel any connection with him. They share a very unusual birthday for a start!
As this gorgeous tale unfolds the magic is strong and weaves in and out of this very well thought out story!!
Hugely recommended for this summer as a home or holiday read. All the wonderful descriptions of Cambridge, some history and love of course!! I got completely immersed in the wonderful characters, places and captivating storyline.
One of the best yet from Ali McNamara I totally loved this book!!
Thank you NetGalley and Bloomsbury for the early read!! Just brilliant!!

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
We meet Eve, she has a small shop that sell antiques, her grandmother used to run it and when she passed away, Eve inherited it.
She goes to do a valuation on the contents in a house, she meets Adam and for there’s a connection between them.
The story is set in Clockmakers Court in Cambridge and the descriptions of the place made you think you’re there.
It was lovely to see the friendships between the other shop owners and how they support each other.
Eve and Adam find out that their relatives that have passed away knew each other and they begin to unravel the mystery of how they knew each other which takes the story back to the second world war, with the blitz and bombing of London.
It was well-written and I loved the way both characters solved the clues to the mystery.
I highly recommend this book.

Although I usually enjoy the books I read to be firmly grounded in reality, there’s something about Ali McNamara’s books which I can’t seem to resist. Perhaps she has cast a spell on me!
Eve owns an antiques shop in Clockmaker Court in Cambridge and loves finding out the stories behind everything she sells. Clockmaker Court is filled with quirky shops which have equally quirky owners and I enjoyed meeting each of them and finding out about their shops. When she is asked to do a house clearance she meets Adam, the grandson of the late owner and although he wants nothing more than to get the house cleared quickly and move back to London, it seems that fate has other ideas. They quickly realise that their grandparents had known each other and seemed determined to bring them together from beyond the grave.
It was such fun reading about Adam and Eve (yes, really!) starting to realise that there was a mystery regarding both their families to be solved, and that led them to another mystery regarding the shops in Clockmaker Court. I loved all the connections to clocks and time which the author worked into the story. My head was spinning at times with the permutations of time! Adam and Eve were clearly meant to be the people to solve the mystery and two people who were destined to be together.
I’m not really sure I can say much more about the plot of this book without giving too much away. What I will say though is that I was completely caught up in Eve and Adam’s story and absolutely willing to believe that what the author wrote about was possible. That’s quite a talent really. Are you intrigued yet? Good!
Right Place, Right Time is another enchanting read from Ali McNamara. Prepare to be swept away by this magical tale, and be well and truly spellbound!

Eve runs a quaint antiques shop in Cambridge in a ring of 11 shops known as Clockmakers Court. When she’s asked to do a house clearance for a grandson of a deceased gentleman who has specifically named her as the one to do the house clearance in his will, she’s a little shocked to find out that they share a birthday, and that his name is Adam (as in Adam and Eve) When they go through Adam’s grandfather’s belongings they find some mysterious photos with faces and names which are familiar to Eve.
How and why were they taken?
I’ve read a few Ali McNamara books before and I always forget that she adds a little magical twist to many of them. It starts off as a regular rom com kind of vibe but soon twists and turns with a mystery and an unexpected hint of magic.
Thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
With thanks to NetGalley and Bloomsbury Publishing for the arc in exchange for an honest unbiased review.

A quite unexpected, but delightful, story!
The story started off quite slowly with getting to know the residents of a little group of shops set around a courtyard with a beautiful tree in the centre.
Eve was the main character, who owned a little antique shop, passed down to her through the generations, and then along came Adam whose family had owned the book shop next door for generations.
When Adam & Eve meet, when Eve arrives to sort out his late grandfather's house clearance, everything slowly clicks into place. Adam decides to open the bookshop next door to Eve again, and things are going along 'normally' when all of a sudden there's a big twist to the story, along with a mystery to solve. This is when the book really took off for me and I couldn't stop reading it.
Such a lovely setting with great characters, full of mystery and intrigue. Wonderful!

This ended up being a very different kind of book to what I expected which wasn't necessarily bad but I think I spent a lot of it feeling a little confused. The pace of the story was quite slow and there's a lot of dialogue which for me affected the flow also. It's a sweet book with great characters and a good setting especially if you love old buildings with lots of history.

Eve is hired to do a house clearance on a house that is far bigger than those she usually clears, but after meeting Adam who has inherited the house...things appear to have been set up and these two are simply in the right place at the right time!
This starts like a pretty simple rom-com; the characters are likeable and the story seems enjoyable. Then a twist happens that makes this story seem a little more like science-fiction and what I struggled with initially was how easily the characters accepted this!
Once I'd got over this, the human stories within it for me through the rest of the book but I just didn't enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed others.

I absolutely loved this book! Fabulous characters, intriguing storyline and well written. As this was an ARC copy there were a few typos which will be corrected in the final edit but the most glaring was ‘twelve ounces to a pound’ , there are of course 16 ounces to a pound . Other than that it was perfect , and the story had me gripped from the first page to the last , Highly recommended.

A heartwarming live story about friendship, family, time travel and so much more. Adam and Eve were mean to be from the beginning. And will help.each other and their friends in a very important quest to find the truth about thier past and the past od ClockMaker court.

Time Travelling Portal 3.5*
An interesting story but I found it rather slow; I would have preferred a story with more adventure to it but it was not until 80% through that the discovery was made as to how the portal worked. I also found the time travelling rules a little confusing but this might be because this is not the type of book I usually read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A wonderful heartwarming novel mixing past and present. Eve has always loved antiques and she tries to research every piece she has for sake in her shop to give customers some history. She loves to honour the past whilst Adam is focused on the future. They met when Adam hired Eve to clear his late grandfathers house and can’t wait to return to London. Yet it seems Eve was picked by Adam’s grandfather for a reason and they could finally be in the right place at the right time to actually meet. A beautifully enchanting story that will draw you in as the plot unfolds. Thank you to NetGalley, Bloomsbury Publishing Plc and the author for the chance to review.

I started off really enjoying this as the antiques part to the story was different and enjoyable. I wasn't into the paranormal/science fiction parts of the book being honest but was still a quick read and a nice summer pick but i didn't realise science fiction would play a part i purely requested the book on cover and brief description. I rated this 3.5 overall. Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for this arc.
