This is a perfect summer read, so funny and cute with plenty of alcohol fuelled adventures but wonderfully supportive family and friends. How the world works in mysterious ways if you just let it work it's magic.

I really enjoyed this rom com novel. It was such a cute and easy to follow read, perfect for the summer months. I loved the characters and the place settings in the book sounded lovely. I highly recommend it to other readers and I look forward to reading more by the author.
🩷 Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for my arc copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley for an advance copy of this book.
Absolutely brilliant! When you laugh out loud at the first page you just know it’s going to be a goodun! The love story between Suzie and Charlie, helped along by a busy Cupid, was such an hilarious journey. And the sex scenes…well, I remember those days, a long, long time ago lol. Nothing too sordid, just a bloody lovely, funny book.
There’s a preview of Sex Ed at the end of this and I’ve added to my list. Will certainly be reading through Kristen Bailey’s backlog now.

First I would like to thank Storm publishing and Kristen Bailey for providing me with an opportunity to review this eARC. I would like to note that although I am incredibly honored, I have come to the realization, that I am not the intended audience for this content, and therefore had to DNF this book at 20%. From what I’ve gathered so far, the book is a dual pov that follows Suzie and Charlie, who happen to meet under difficult circumstances when Suzie becomes estranged from her friend group on their… poorly planned vacation . Although the story line has the potential to unravel into something great, I struggle to follow the dialects as they lack nuance, and the sexual innuendos on almost every page did not help. From my honest opinion this reads like a Wattpad story, which is unique in its own way, but it’s just simply not for me. If you are a Colleen Hoover fan, or are just starting out on your reading journey then this could be the perfect introductory book for you. It is for this reason that I am unable to properly rate this book. I simply suggest those who find this type of content interesting to give it a chance!

This was a fun read that was filled with spice, wit, banter, loving cousins, and beautiful getaways. I found myself longing to be in Mallorca and Seville. I loved the quick wit and innuendos used in the book; it made me laugh and smile. I enjoyed Charlie's character, Suzie frustrated me at times, and I loved Suzie's cousins.

Thank you, NetGalley, for an eARC copy in exchange for my honest review.

I loved the concept of this book but I honestly had a really hard time getting into the story line. I understand the title is Hot To Go but everytime the heat or temperature got mentioned I kept finding myself thinking “okay yeah I get it, it’s hot”

Hot to Go by Kristen Bailey is a friend's to lovers, workplace romance, and second (and third) chance romcom that was such a fun read! Suzie heads to Mallorca with her cousins on holiday after her long time relationship ends due to cheating. She meets Carlos and they form a steamy and instant connection. What was intended as a vacation fling turns into a lot more several months later when they discover they are both teaching at a local school. I adored this book with its immense humor, strong formed characters, and charming storyline. The pacing was just right, allowing for a slow burn tension to build. I would highly recommend this book, especially if you are looking for a fun summer read!

Thank you Netgalley, Storm Publishing, and the author for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The book I was expecting to read was not what I read. Hot to Go by Kristen Bailey was for me a slightly flat- sometime boring other times it was things that for me did not fit in with the storyline.
The characters did not blend, and this made me not really care if they were together or not. The drama took up too much space in my mind while I read. I was hoping for a fun beach read romance but for me that is not what I got.
I have read other books by this author and enjoyed them but for me this was a miss.
Thank you NetGalley, Kristen Bailey and Storm Publishing for the arc of Hot to Go. This is my personal review.

Spicy romance where I imagine everyone is wearing tweed blazers. The characters are cute and quirky and the story flys by!

3.5 ⭐️ Rounded Up

This book was a cute and quirky read with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. I really enjoyed the witty banter between Charlie and Suzie—there were some genuinely fun exchanges that made their romance easy to root for. Their chemistry? ✨On point✨.

That said, some of the plot felt a little drawn out and inconsistent at times, which made the pacing feel a bit off. Still, it’s a quick, enjoyable read—perfect if you’re looking for something light and easy to pick up when your attention span is MIA. 📚💫

I loved the Spanish and French back-and-forth—it added a fun and unique touch—and Suzie’s cousins totally stole the show with their chaotic, hilarious energy. 🇪🇸🇫🇷😂

If you’re after a light rom-com with some international flair and a lovable cast, this one’s worth a try!

📖 Book Review 📖 As always, this is a judgement free zone and nobody will be judging you for singing HOT TO GO! as you read this one (probably in the heat of summer.) After Suzie’s life implodes, her cousins invite her to join them on a 40th birthday bonanza to Mallorca. One spicy escape from reality and a hot vacation hook-up with a presumed local, and she is ready for a return to reality. But what happens when the fling turns out to be the new faculty member at her job back home? Kristen Bailey delivers one scorching summer read. Hot to Go is perfect poolside, beachside, or whenever you go to beat the heat.

Cute story that gave me flashbacks to going on school trips (I wonder what those teachers were up to! lol). It felt a little long at times, but overall it was a fun read.

A perfect summer romcom.
Hot to Go is a light, fun read with charming characters. Suzie and Charlie’s chemistry is quirky and realistic — their relationship begins with awkward moments and chaotic school encounters, which makes it feel refreshingly authentic.

One of the highlights for me was the role of their families, especially the cousins, who bring warmth, humor, and energy to the story.

Although the pacing slows down a bit in the middle and the main conflict feels slightly overblown, the book redeems itself with a sweet and satisfying ending.

An enjoyable read, perfect to unwind and have a good time.

Thank you to NetGalley, Kristen Bailey, and Storm Publishing for this ARC.

This was my first book by this author and I was excited for it after having heard good things about her Christmas books.
Sadly, this book was not for me. It was very heavy on sexual content and innuendos and I got over it real fast. I wanted to get to know the characters more and see more to their relationship, past the physical stuff.
The writing would switch from first person to second person so the flow of monologue took me out of the story a lot.
There was also a lot of Spanish and French that I had to keep looking up. The context didn’t help enough.
The story itself was kind of boring and I found myself skimming a lot, which I rarely do.
All that being said, I’m still going to try out her other books and see if it was just this one that didn’t do it for me.

This might be my favourite book of the year - and I'm a girl who usually reads a contemporary romance to cleanse the pallet and have a nice chill time after reading an epic 800 page fantasy book.

Firstly, this book was hilarious. I can't stress how much. Not just the odd quiet giggle here and there... I laughed at nearly every page, and read out whole chapters to my husband because I enjoyed them so much.

Iloved that this story was around 2 people from the UK, the references to Tesco, ice cream vans etc just that general UK lifestyle really added to the vibes for me. Then visiting all the other countries along the way just added that holiday summer romance feeling.

I enjoyed the use of French and Spanish in this book and found the translation tool on my Kindle really handy and fun to use.
The side characters were brilliant - the cousins had me in stitches, and cute Max, Brooke and Sam.

This was my first book by Kristen Bailey and I can't wait to read more.

The premise of this was really fun so I went into it with high hopes. I really want to be able to big it up but sadly a lot of it made me cringe. I get in some ways that’s probably what the author was going for, but unfortunately it was more the writing style than the plot. Our lead characters were cute but in quite a bumbley way. It felt like we were aiming for old school sitcom humour that didn’t quite come off. There are moments that really did work. Mainly in their banter and moments of lead up or tension. Where as in the sex scenes, I think the author was going for explicit spice but it ended up actually being descriptive in a way that was pretty off-putting. It didn’t put the hot in hot to go. I do actually think this is going to find an audience who will love it, who will love these types of characters. My embarrassment threshold is just a little too high for this one.

2.75 stars, rounding up to 3.

Hot to Go was an adventure in more ways than one. I’ve read this author’s holiday books and really enjoyed them, but unfortunately this one lacked the charm and wit I was looking forward to.

I did really like Charlie and Suzie’s characters. They were both quirky and quite funny. The chemistry was there and I did really want them to end up together. The banter between the cousins was great and I was really enjoying the relationships between them. The beginning of this book was full of adventure and I laughed out loud multiple times!

As the story went on, I found myself wondering what the plot of the story actually was and wasn’t as invested as I should have been. Unfortunately it came off as very choppy and I wish the story would’ve had more substance.

The writing was inconsistent and confusing at times. I found it hard to follow what was actual dialogue vs. inner monologue. A lot of the phrases in French and Spanish weren’t translated and while I have a beginner’s understanding of French, this took me out of the story and made it hard to want to continue on. Parts of the story were more cringe than funny, especially when the teachers became really gossipy about everyone’s private business. It happens, but not in the damaging way it was presented. This book was also excessively long.

While it wasn’t for me, if you’re looking for something silly and summery this might be for you!!!

This is a funny, quirky book and has a lot of potential! I liked the premise of the book. However, as I started reading IMO, I felt it was the scenes with the protagonists were way too physical than needed be. The storyline was promising & the author has a witty writing style. The characters could have used more of tension and banter without resorting to being physical most of the time. For these reasons, I feel the storyline wasn't explored to its fullest depth and some chapters felt superficial. At a certain stage, it felt like there were too many characters & their back stories so it was hard to keep track of them all.

Overall, if you are looking for a quick breezy beach read, this one is for you. I love the author's writing style and look forward to checking out her books in future!

Hot To Go is a quick and breezy read with plenty of laughs and just the right amount of sex. Not my typical book but I enjoyed it.

This book starts off strong and hilarious. We’re following Suzie, a French teacher, and Charlie, a Spanish teacher, both from England. From the first couple pages we’re reading about Suzie and Charlie’s misfortunes. When unrelated events cause these two to meet in Mallorca on vacation, the two have a spark and hit it off. Only thing is, they’re both lying about everything. But good news is they’ll never see each other again!

Flash forward a couple weeks. Now Suzie and Charlie are having their first day back to work after the summer! Only shocker, they’re at the same school now and have to unpack everything that happened over vacation.

I gave this book 3 stars because after the first half of the book the excitement fell off for me a bit. I did really enjoy the first half. This overall is cute-funny summer romcom.
