When Aubrey's fiancé dumps her literally at the altar just days before Christmas, her first thought is for their honeymoon, a luxury snow train winding through Europe's most beautiful Christmas markets, from Paris to Stockholm, ending in Lapland under the Northern Lights. It was meant to be the most romantic ten days of her life, and now she has to go it alone. Arriving on the train and not wanting to be known as someone who was jilted, she accidentally implies her new husband died in a horrible accident. She quickly discovers she's not the only singleton on board, and the group of single passengers nickname themselves 'The Unlucky in Love Travel Club.' But as the train gathers pace through snowy landscapes, so do Aubrey's feelings for absurdly handsome travel journalist Jasper. Maybe her magical Christmas honeymoon for one is exactly what she needs, and perhaps she's not as unlucky in love as she thought.

I received a free copy of, Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express, by Rebecca Raisin, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Audrey decides to go on her honeymoon alone, after she is jilted by her ex fiancee. The Winter Wonderland Express, sounds like a great train ride, especially at Christmas time. This was a sweet holiday read.

This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed my outing on the Winter Wonderland Express.
Aubrey is dumped at the alter and is left to go on honeymoon alone on a luxury Christmas train adventure. She soon meets a great group of friends and starts to make some lovely connections. The characters were likeable and I could imagine myself with them all having a brilliant time due to the great descriptions.
A fantastic cosy Christmas read full of humour and romance which I would recommend.
Thanks to NetGalley, Boldwood Books and Rebecca Raisin for an advance copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

A magical festive romance with lots of yummy food. I recommend reading this with a block of chocolate. The vivid descriptions take you away and let you escape for a little while. The characters are brilliantly quirky and you can't help but fall in love. This is a story that I wanted to last for ever, I wanted it to be neverending. It's such a magical time and the author truly makes it come alive through words.

I adored this book. Nevermind that it's the middle of summer, this book still provided all the magic and coziness of the Christmas season. The characters were delightful and quirky and the story was sweet, with themes of second chance romances and escapism.
This was a fun read and I look forward to reading more books by this author!

Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express by Rebecca Raisin is a delightful love story wrapped in a unique adventure aboard an express train that visits various fabulous settings and makes you wish the train were real.
The storyline centres around Aubrey, who has been left at the alter but decides to take the dream honeymoon alone rather than let it go to waste. The romantic train trip sees a group of single people surrounded and outnumbered by affectionate couples, causing the singles to ban together as the train moves through Europe toward the ultimate destination of Lapland, where igloos and northern lights await.
Part travelogue and part romance, the book has relatable characters, misunderstandings, friendships, humour, and locations that are richly described by Raisin. While the book is set over the holidays and features various holiday markets and decorations, it is more a story of relationships, self-discovery, and hope.
I am so glad to have been invited to review an ARC of #LastStopontheWinterWonderlandExpress by #BoldwoodBooks , which I accessed via #NetGalley.

What a charming read. Lovely book. Really good feel good book. Nice to get a wee festive book. Had a lovely plot as usual with this author. Was delighful to read. Very well written

Rebecca’s books are always like a warm hug, so delightful and cosy. Her latest offer is no exception- an enchanting festive read. Aubrey is a travel agent who loves exploring the world, Miles is a sports teacher who is keen to make sure he gets his 130g protein per day. They’re due to get married and go on an amazing honeymoon until Miles gets cold feet and leaves Aubrey at the alter. Heart-broken Audrey decides to go on her romantic honeymoon aboard the Winter Wonderland Express alone.
Raisin’s locations are always amazing, almost a character in their own. It’s always a bit disappointing that they’re fictional as I’d love to go visit them all! The Winter Wonderland Express is a dedicated train full of Christmas cheer- from staff in festive outfits that change daily, a library car to ugly Christmas jumper competitions, Elfie Selfie stations and Christmas dance offs. It starts off in Paris and makes it way North to Lapland via Bruges, Amsterdam, Hamburg,Copenhagen and Stockholm. Each stop includes a chance to visit the famous sights of the cities, Christmas markets and enjoy local delicacies as well as mulled wine and Christmas beer.
The cast of characters were so much fun. I loved Aubrey’s friend Freya and sister Rox who supported her after things went wrong. Once onboard Aubrey is then put with 5 other singles who soon become fast friends and form Unlucky in Love Travel Club. Each member had their own quirks and they were lots of fun. They are all linked by hints of the mystery of a couple who are in the rocks and trying to work out which of the many lived up influencer couples it is.
One of the members is American Jasper who has recently been divorced and is also a free spirit like Aubrey. Their slow burn romance was lovely and as we learn more Miles we can see he wasn’t the right fit for Aubrey. Exploring the themes of body image, control and hoping partners will change it all wrap up in a very satisfying ending and maybe hints that the club will get back together soon. One of the best Christmas reads I’ve read- make sure you get onboard The Winter Wonderland Express!

Another heartwarming, charming read by the wonderful Rebecca who always writes such beautiful stories with warmth.
I loved the destinations and experiences the characters had there, the quirky characters all added something to the story. The relationship between Aubrey and her sister was lovely and the banter they shared had me smiling along while reading. Princess with her wit and sternness and Sabrina too became firm favourites of mine.
The book is a cosy, well written book full of love, hope, friendships and second chances. A perfect festive read in stunning destinations which fills you with all kind of cosy feelings. The ending was perfect! It’s a must read for Christmas.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange of my honest review

This is my second book by Rebecca Raisin and I must say I’m a fan! This book starts with Aubrey preparing to get married. As life throws her lemons she goes on a train ride “Winter Wonderland Express” which is going to end in Lapland on Christmas Eve. On the train she meets a great bunch of people who will no doubt become life long friends. The group all get into the festive spirit via the many fun Christmas events on board. You feel for the characters as they go through ups and downs on their train trip. I had many laugh out loud moments with Princess one of the more memorable characters. Thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books and Rebecca Raisin for the e-ARC of this book which I received for free.

This is the perfect book for anyone who wants a little cozy escape to the comforts of the Christmas season. The scenes were vividly depicted and made me feel like I was right there with Aubrey and the other characters!

The perfect escape of a warm and cozy adventure. Everything my wanderlust heart desires. I couldn’t ask for a better dreamlike read that captures all the best parts with a side of awkward. The characters are endearing, quirky and fun. I can’t image any more of a romantic Christmas holiday than to travel by train to Christmas markets.

❄️ I've been reading Rebecca Raisin's books for years, like literally over 10 years!! She never fails to serve up a delightful romantic read with a beautiful setting!
🚈 I, for one, very much now need to embark on the Winter Wonderland Express. I've always thought the idea of being on a cozy train through the night would be fun & well, if you make it festive, then that automatically 10 times more fun!!
❄️ I loved all the places Aubrey visited & reading about the Christmas markets. It's making me very excited for the 'ber' months. Everything was so descriptive & made me feel like I was there.
🚈 The friendships in the book were wonderful to read. I loved the connections Aubrey made with the group on the train. It was so special.
❄️ Obviously, the romance was lovely, too. Jasper was dreamy and sweet. I enjoyed watching his & Aubrey's relationship blossom.
🚈 If you're looking for a cozy, easy to sink your teeth into, romantic read, then this will be perfect. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely looooved this book! It was such a cosy, feel good book which is what I was searching for in this summer heat (bleh). I loved the FMC and the storyline. I would've loved a bit more exploration in the different cities Aubrey visited, but the other characters and gossip made up for it.
I, too, now want to go on the winter wonderland express!

This book was a fun, cosy read with a lot of loveable characters. I did find it a bit hard to suspend my disbelief at the pace of the romance in the novel, however, and I would have liked to have more time spent on exploring the cities and the Christmassy activities in each place the train visited.
Overall though, I enjoyed reading this book and it definitely gives a Hallmark channel movie vibe.

I'm now wanting to go on a winter wonderland express train ride. This train sounded so idyllic, serene, the rooms sound atunning and the attention to detail was second to none.
Rebecca's books never fail to make me smile and have me wanting to go galavanting all over the world.
I definitely have caught the travelling and exploring bug this year and this book has just added fuel to the fire.

Being stood up at the alter, Aubrey decided she wouldn't let their planned honeymoon adventure go to waste.
Aubrey embarked on a Christmas train ride to Lapland. She met a mixture of people who deemed themselves unlucky in love..
This group of people became firm friends and they made magical memories.
Could the bond between Aubrey and Jasper be real?
A fun-filled, quick easy read.

I loved this cozy, Christmasy romance. After Aubrey's fiancé stands her up at the altar, she tries to figure out her next steps. Their honeymoon was going to be a luxury train trip through Europe's Christmas markets, so she decides to go on it anyway. There, she runs into a group of singles who call themselves the Unlucky in Love club. My favorite was Princess, and I also loved her sister, who was fiercely protective of her. As they traveled throughout Europe, the friends bonded and explored the different Christmas markets and enjoyed their time on the train, ending up in an igloo to see the Northern lights.
Thanks to @boldwoodbooks, @netgalley, and the author for this arc.

Aubrey is jilted at the altar but she doesn’t want her exclusive Christmas train ride through all the Christmas markets in Europe to go to waste, so she embarks on her honeymoon alone where she meets a ragtag group of misfits aboard the train. This was billed as a trip through Christmas markets and Christmas destinations throughout Europe. Although the author touched on these excursions, it was just barely. I was left wanting so much more of the Christmas feeling. This was more a character study of all the passengers aboard the train and there were many. I couldn’t get a good purchase on any one character and therefore didn’t relate to any of them. This would probably make for a very good Hallmark movie because it was very conversational in its writing. For me, it didn’t hit on all the Christmas aspects that I needed it to.

As a fan of the author I couldn’t wait to dive into this one. It is a Xmas book, but I read it while on a cruise in June, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The characters are all written really well, I love how their stories intertwine with each other. My favourite has to be Princess. She is who I want to be like when I’m her age! Fearless and living life.
A brilliant read, perfect for cosy winter evenings, or indeed hot summer days:
Huge thanks to the publisher, author and Netgalley for providing a copy.
