A stunning continuation of Paisley Hope’s Silver Pines series. Freeing the Wild is another knock out and I will continue to recommend this series to all my friends who say they’re after a good romance.

Thank you Penguin (evermore) & NetGalley for the e-arc of this book which has been such an anticipated release of mine and did not disappoint at all.
I absolutely devoured Cassie and Haden's story and Haden has taken the top spot as my favourite MMC from the Silver Pines series so far.
This story follows Cassie who is an up and coming country music artist and Haden, who works on the ranch. They meet, and have a very fun tonight together and then go their separate ways until a few months later when Cassie experiences a tragic accident whilst at one of her shows and then she goes back to the ranch to regroup and take some time away for her mental health. So of course, now she's in close proximity with Haden again!
Haden is the ultimate cowboy and the blue print for a book boyfriend, he is so caring and so charming and just overall such a good guy. I loved how sure he is of himself and how confident he was about what he wanted in life.
Cassie is very fiery and witty and the banter between her and Haden was so much fun and so flirty, I loved it!
To summarise, I had such a great time reading this book, I loved being back in the world of Silver Pines and I loved getting to know these 2 brilliant main characters whilst also getting to see our favourite characters from the previous books. It was fun, flirty, romantic and spicy whilst also having some emotional depth to it and featured some really vulnerable and necessary conversations.
I loved it so much and I already can't wait for the next book, especially after the little teaser that we got!!

Silver Pines Ranch - book 4
Haden & Cassie (Ivy’s sister!!)
Well after Ginger and Cole I didn’t know if I would ever feel the same again but these two are just so good together. Cassie is feisty with Haden but too afraid to speak upto her manager. Haden wants more but also doesn’t know when to make the change.
These two meet and have a one night stand, Haden doesn’t know who Cassie is afterwards they go their separate ways however they both think about each other often. When Cassie has a terrible experience she comes back to silver pines to recover and Haden turns out to be all she needs to make her better!! 😉
🌟🌟🌟🌟 🌶️🌶️

Wild, steamy, and no girl’s ever played with fire quite like this!
Cassie is flirty as hell and absolutely wild! proving women can do everything men can, and even better. She had that cowboy on his knees, and I was straight-up cheering when she thanked him for his service. Iconic. 🔥
There’s a twist I didn’t expect, maybe necessary for the story, sure … but honestly, I kinda wish it hadn’t happened. I loved watching her handle the men like a pro. 🙈
The trauma bonding? Way too real and painfully relatable. The writing, as always, flows smooth and easy. And don’t even get me started on grumpy Haden… he creeps up on you and then bam, you’re hooked. He’ll suck you dry, emotionally and otherwise.
And mix it with a little country music, and things hit so much harder. Everything just got better.
Once you get a taste of Silver Pines, you’re not walking away. No goodbye, just a big ol’ yeehaw. 🤠💋 Can’t wait for Asher and Olivia’s story. I already know it’s gonna ruin me in the best way! 💜
Thank you Cornerstone, Penguin and netgalley for this early copy. All opinions are my own.

There’s something so comforting about returning to a familiar fictional world, and Freeing the Wild by Paisley Hope delivers exactly that.
Set once again in the charming Kentucky countryside of Silver Pines Ranch, this fourth instalment in the Silver Pines series is a heartfelt, easy-to-love romance that feels like a warm hug in book form.
This time, we follow Cassie Spencer, aka the Princess of Bluegrass, who’s seeking refuge and a reset after tragedy strikes her rising music career. She heads to Silver Pines to visit her sister Ivy, hoping for a quiet escape. What she doesn’t expect is to cross paths with Haden Westbrook, the rugged cowboy with a soft spot for horses and a heart that’s clearly not as guarded as he’d like it to be.
From the moment Cassie and Haden reconnect, the chemistry is undeniable. Yes, you can probably guess where the story is headed but that’s part of the joy. It’s the kind of romance where you know the destination, but the journey is so full of charm, banter, and emotional beats that you’re more than happy to go along for the ride.
Paisley Hope has a knack for writing small-town romances that feel both grounded and swoon-worthy. The setting is lush, the characters are endearing, and the stakes while never overwhelming are just enough to keep you turning the pages. It’s a story about second chances, finding your place, and letting love in, even when it’s unexpected.
If you’ve been to Silver Pines before, this book will feel like coming home. And if you haven’t? what are you waiting for?

Another loveable feet-kicking instalment in the Sliver Pines series!
We are treated to another quintessential cowboy romance, full of swoon worthy interactions and dialogue.
The meeting between Cassie and Haden was a perfect start to their story, I flew through the pages enjoying myself more and more as it developed.
Fans of Lyla Sage will adore getting their romance kick from this comforting story.. which brings together familiar elements we all love.

Back to Silver Pines… My favourite place!
During a short visit to see her sister Ivy, Cassie has a very hot and steamy one night stand with Haden, and then disappears into the night, going back to her life as a rising star in country music. But after a run of shows, and then a terrible accident at one of them, Cassie needs a break. She just wants to head back to her family and relax for 1 month.
Now she is living in the cabin next door to Haden, dealing with her trauma and anxiety, and trying to resist the charming cowboy.
Haden can't deny his attraction to Cassie, he hasn't forgotten her since their one night stand and now she is living next door. He can see she isn't the same fiery women from months previous, but he knows she has that fire and spark in her, so he will do what he can to get her back to herself.
This is a sweet, small town, cowboy romance with plenty of spice and laugh out loud banter between all the characters. But it also tackles mental health and trauma. Both main characters were dealing with their own feelings and helping each other along the way.
The epilogue for this book was perfection, and it's about time that we finally get Olivia's story. I.CAN’T.WAIT.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for approving me to read this book, I’m rating it 4.0 stars.
Paisley Hope only writes good time books. This is fun and engaging with heartfelt moments and real life hurdles which complicate the main characters romantic situation. I found the FMC to be complex and likeable, I like how the author tackled our main characters mental health struggles, addressed the pressure of the music industry and the danger of disorganised gigs. Our MMC had some of his own personal challenges and although his hurdles didn’t seem as intense as our FMC’s, I really enjoyed seeing how he supported her while dealing with his own issues.
My favourite part of these books will always be seeing returning characters on page from previous books, they always bring a lovely family vibe to the story.
Highly recommend these books for a fun time with great spice and interesting characters.

Synopsis
When Cassie Spencer escapes to Kentucky to recover from a devastating tour tragedy, the last thing on her mind is falling for a small-town cowboy. But from the moment she meets Haden Westbrook at Silver Pines Ranch, their connection is undeniable. Though their lives couldn’t be more different—she’s bound for Nashville fame, he’s rooted in the hills of Laurel Creek—the pull between them grows stronger with every shared ride and quiet moment under the stars. As the spring deepens, so does their bond. Now, Cassie must decide if the song of her heart lies on the road… or right here in the Kentucky.
My Thoughts
Freeing the Wild is the fourth book in the Silver Pines Series, and while it’s an interconnected standalone, I highly recommend reading the first three books as well—each one is packed with charm, heart, and characters you’ll absolutely fall in love with.
I genuinely thought Riding the High was going to be my favourite in the series... until now. Freeing the Wild has officially earned a spot right alongside it as another five-star read for me. From start to finish, I was completely swept away.
The characters in this book truly shine, but Haden, our cinnamon roll cowboy MMC, completely stole my heart. I adored his warmth, quiet strength, and the way he showed up for Cassie again and again. Their connection was not only swoon-worthy but deeply authentic.
What stood out the most for me was the beautiful, heartfelt (healing) journey Cassie and Haden go on together. It wasn’t just about romance—it was about rediscovering purpose, chasing dreams, and learning to let love in after life knocks you down. The way their individual paths aligned was nothing short of masterful.
And don’t even get me started on the big gesture, so well-earned, and just utterly perfect. It was one of those moments that stays with you long after you turn the last page.
The writing was so moving and relatable—even though most of us will never face the exact trauma these characters do, Paisley Hope captures the emotions so vividly that you can’t help but feel every beat of their journey.
I honestly have nothing but glowing praise for this book. It’s a tender, beautifully told story full of heart and hope. Thank you, Paisley Hope, for another unforgettable trip to Silver Pines!
Thank you so much to Penguin Random House and NetGalley for this ARC.
I absolutely cannot wait for the final and fifth book of the series: Chasing the Fire. The story of Asher and Olivia. Ugh can it be April 2026 already?
I received an e-ARC from NetGalley of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Oh Paisley you know how to write a great cowboy romance story! What a pleasure it was to return to Silver Pines, and to explore more of the characters sitting just outside of the Ashby bunch but still very much part of the chosen family!
Cassie and Haden’ story, was sweet, romantic, healing and sexy as hell! The story does have a hard-hitting topics that are handled with great care, and was very well done without making the story too heavy, whilst also showing the importance of taking the time to heal. Ultimately the story is about our two main characters choosing each other every step of the way ❤️
Looking forward to returning for one last visit in the final instalment- another thing done so well in this story … dropping those breadcrumbs getting ready for the next one!
Thank you so much Random House and Paisley Hope for this ARC - it’s been a pleasure to review!

I don’t know what Paisley Hope puts in her books but I will ✨devour✨ them no matter what, and she’s done it again! Just when I think Cole + Ginger can’t be topped in walks Haden Westbrook and Cassie Spencer! Now I’ll be honest you can’t compare the two couples because I love them for different reasons. It became apparent that Cassie + Haden were on journeys of their own and their cross paths with one another right when they needed to help the other out and I gobbled it all up.
With each Silver Pines book I’m in love with the pseudo family even more and as the group grows with each new story I’m not ready to leave Silver Pines Ranch. There’s one book left and I have no idea what’s in store for Olivia and Asher but I am seated and ready for the drama to unfold! Until then I am counting down the days to release day so that I can reread Freeing The Wild by audiobook which has become a release day tradition! If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting the found family at Silver Pines Ranch then I can absolutely recommend checking out books #1, #2 + #3 before #4 comes out!
Thank you so much to Paisley Hope, Penguin + NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC long before its release on 6th November 2025. You’ve made me a very happy girlie! My audiobook is preordered and I can’t wait to reread!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
There were some sentence structuring issues where words were added which messed with the wording in certain places. But overall this was such a fantastic book.
I think Haden may be my favourite MMC out of all the boys. He is not just a rancher, there is so much more to him that makes you fall in love.
Cassie is such a sweetheart. I adore her and her whole vibe and spirit. She brings a lot to the table in this book.
Such a fab and exciting couple. They go through some ups and downs, but then again what couple doesn’t.
For those that love the Silver Pines series, this book will not disappoint ❤️

Absolutely adored this! Another amazing read from Paisley, I can’t wait for Olivia and Asher’s book but I’m not ready for this series to end!

The Silver Pines series just gets better and better. Freeing the Wild is a truly beautiful tale of love, dreams, and soulmates. From the off, Cassie is a ray of sunshine who has been beaten down by her incessant need to people please and the trauma of losing her father so early in life. Haden is the strong and steady hand to hold, while also learning to open his heart to love. He thinks he knows what he wants in life, career-wise at the least, and Cassie’s introduction rocks his world. These two are clearly made for each other from the moment they first talk.
Even with Haden being Wade’s top hand and with the appearance of all of the characters we’ve grown to love throughout the series, his love story with Cassie felt completely fresh and unique, like the series has taken on a new lease of life. It was truly beautiful to see Cassie discover her worth and start respecting her own dreams and boundaries. She went through a lot in a short space of time and seeing her take her life into her own hands was inspiring. It felt very much like her story more than Haden’s but I think that was just right for this book.
There are multiple difficult and hard-hitting topics touched on in this book, but all are handled with grace and never delved into too deeply to the point where they could be distressing for the reader. These subjects gave heart and emotion to the story without focusing on trauma and gloom. It was very well done.
There were a couple of oddities in the timeline and isn’t continuity in general, though I’m guessing those will be ironed out before the book is published.
I genuinely really enjoyed and loved this book, and I can’t wait to reread it when it’s published.

I loved this which is no surprise really. The growth of the characters in this was probably my favourite thing about it, both main characters learning to stand up for themselves and opening each other's eyes to their worth was *chefs kiss*.
It wasn't my favourite in the series but that could be because it follows Law Daddy, Ginger and Mabel and I mean, how do you compete with that?
Penny is the sweetest and needs to be protected at all costs.
Once again, very grateful to have been accepted for ARC. My love for this series continues.

Thank you for penguin cornerstone via NetGalley for proving me with this arc - this book comes out btw 5 days before my bday hehe
Honestly it’s an honour to be able to read this book months before it’s out - I love this series so much it truly does feel like chestnut spring series . This landed on my kindle ( well I got an email saying xyz is available to request) & ofc I requested it .
The cover is beautiful I mean every book in this series has this pretty yet minimalist cover & I love it .
He calls her princess !!! * insert swoon*
This is country singer x rancher
- Cassie is ivys sister !!!
- Omg the fact this is hadens book ( this man is definitely my second fave - Cole is my fave )
- the spice is actually super hot !! Like super hot !!
The chemistry between Cassie and Haden is just aaah!!
The usual found family that this universe’s books have is just aaah . I love seeing ginger , ivy , Olivia & cece again .
You know me , I love me some cowboy romance ( it’s not my main genre but when I pick it up I love it ) especially when it’s paisley hope !!!
This is not the best book in this series but nonetheless I absolutely love Cassie and haden !!! They unfortunately also do not knock Cole and ginger off the top spot of my fave couple in the series.
As much as I do love these two and god these two had me swooning with the slowburn + the tension I have to be honest and this book falls flat. I think the reason for this is because of the fact riding the high was a masterpiece and the reason for that was because we were waiting for Cole and gingers book since book 1 . And the anticipation was truly executed perfectly. However, this one is kinda just lacking something . It’s good it’s truly a good book but it is missing that one thing the past 3 books had .
Again I still feel honoured to have been able to read this book as an arc !! - and truly paisley is one of my fave authors .
The ending was perfect ( the lack of 3rd act breakup)
I am super excited for Asher and Olivia’s book ( I hope it’s the next book

4.5 ⭐ rounded up to 5!
What a superb book! I absolutely inhaled this in under 24 hours. The characters were elite, the storyline, the country music theme. The spice 🔥😍. Read it - you won’t regret it!

Normally, when reading ARCs, I make notes as I go so I can refer to them when writing my review. For this one... I got pulled in so quickly that I only wrote one note: “I am eating this up!”
That remained true right up to the last page. What a book! These two characters made it so damn special - the chemistry between Haden and Cassie was off the charts, and the push and pull added so many layers of yearning to the story while remaining so realistic. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. 🔥❤️
Paisley Hope has well and truly outdone herself with this one!
The sprinkling we get of Asher and Olivia is perfect, and I cannot wait to see how their story plays out.
I highly recommend this book, and this series as a whole.
Freeing the Wild is out November 6th.
Thank you so much to Penguin Random House for the ARC via NetGalley and for giving me the opportunity to share my honest thoughts on this book.

Silver Pines has my heart, along with any and all books written by Paisley. Freeing the Wild was just what I needed to cure me of my Laurel Creek withdrawals.
Let me start by saying, the tropes in this book? Perfect. You’ve got the standard cowboy romance, starting with a one-night stand, opposites attract, drifting into a slow-burn with a hint of “she’s off limits but I can’t help myself.”
Cassie, an up-and-coming country singer is rather different to the other female MC’s throughout the series. There’s so much depth to her and because of that, Freeing the Wild might have to be my favourite (although I say this at every new release of Paisley’s).
As Ivy’s sister, Cassie visits Silver Pines and ends up having a memorable evening with Hayden, our rugged yet loveable cowboy/rancher. They’re strangers, until they’re not. It’s one night, until it’s not. It’s a secret...
“Well, damn, I must have hit my head because I’ve never found mustaches appealing until right this second.”
Cassie is so determined to prove herself in her career, that burning the candles at both ends mixed with a traumatic event leads to her needing a well-deserved break. Where better to relax and recover than at the idyllic Silver Pines ranch surrounded by her family and the Ashby’s?
Except that stranger of a cowboy from her out-of-character night, months previously, throws a spanner in the works by being her new, temporary neighbour. A bit of close proximity sprinkled into what is already a set-up for the best kind of romance.
“You’re just this big rugged cowboy with a heart of gold aren’t you?”
Hayden (I love you Hayden) has been warned that Ivy’s sister is off-limits. It’s not until it’s too late that he makes that connection. He tries to keep his distance, but watching Cassie deal with her anxieties makes the pull too hard to resist.
“Some things can be just so beautiful they evoke this awakening in you, a reminder that there’s so much more out there than you’ve seen.”
There is a journey of self-development for both of the characters as they help each other to navigate their personal issues and deal with it together. It helps to have Hayden as your biggest cheerleader. And as Hayden allows himself to get closer to Cassie, he can’t help reminding himself that there is a time limit. Cassie is temporary, she has to return to the stage at some point.
“It reminds me that losing something doesn’t mean it’s lost forever, that there is always tomorrow and a new path to travel.”
I could write a lengthy book filled with the quotes and reasons I loved them. Paisley has this ability to create such relatable and endearing wit and humour through her writing and the depth of the trauma was so heartfelt that I both laughed and cried.
“When life throws you into a storm, turn around, throw your middle finder up and play in the puddles.”
The connection and journey between Cassie and Hayden had me so invested. I’ve never wanted fictional characters to be together so much. Both perfect, yet imperfect, in ways that are flawless to the other.
“Thing is, I never doubted her strength. But when I’m around her, I really fucking question my own.”
I have not a single criticism of this book. I think I fell as deeply for the characters, as they did each other.
“tell me something real.”
And the little teasers about the potential main characters for the next book? I’m not going to add a spoiler but MAKE IT HAPPEN PAISLEY. I can’t stand the second-hand tension!
Thank you NetGalley and Penguin (Random House UK, Cornerstone) for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely devoured this one. Paisley really knows how to write a book that has you laughing, crying and falling in love all at once! Cassie went through so much and came out the other side so much stronger and Haden?? What a man!!
I now desperately need Asher & Olivia’s book though!
