This book will have you laughing so hard! If you love a broody boss with a sassy mouthed employee relationship this is the book for you. I absolutely devoured this book and loved every second of it.

Gobbled this book up! Did i read it hoping for a great plot and amazing writing, no. Did i read it to be entertained, heck yes. Brothers bestie, enemies to lovers and an age gap?! Yes, yes and yes please! Great banter and spice. Loved reading it while on vacation with a drink in hand and relaxing by the lake

I thought the book was good. I read it in one day!! My only issue with it was I thought the FMC was a little immature for her age. Other then that I liked it and would recommend it!

Other than the fact that Charlie’s brother was his best friend, the only thing she had in common with Danny Walker was they both worked in technology. OK so he was a billionaire tech guru who lived in a mansion while she was one you called in a panic when your laptop wouldn’t switch on, she also may have had a teeny crush on Danny when she was younger but crashed and burned leaving her feeling humiliated when she tried to make a move. But that was fine, it wasn’t as if they moved in the same circles…...until he bought the company she worked for…...
I’m strangely surprised by how much I liked this enemies to lovers' story. The characters really werent all that likeable with the heroine Charlie coming across as being very immature and acting a lot younger than the twenty-eight she was supposed to be. As for Danny has arrogance knew no bounds and his morals left a lot to be desired making him and Charlie a match made in heaven…... or possibly hell depending on how you looked at it but I think this just added to their appeal for me. They weren’t cookie cutter perfect but flawed like the rest of us. I did love that it was set in the UK and written by a UK based author, so the slang and idioms were spot on. The overall story did feel a bit long and could possibly have been condensed but as introductions to an author go, I’d definitely read her again.

This is far from the first time I've come across this masterpiece from the incredible Rosa Lucas. I've honestly lost track of the amount of times I've read this one. Ive read every book written by Rosa so far!

I absolutely love Charlie and Danny. You've got 28 year old Charlotte Kane who's a bit or a quirky IT worker, trying to make her way through life when her older brothers best friend, 41 year old Danny Walker buys up the company she works for.
After a little incident a decade earlier, Charlie and Danny have kept their interactions to a minimum. But that sure doesnt mean the sexual tension between the two isn't so thick it could blind! Now working together and finally forced into each other's orbit, that tension finally comes to the boil. And yep, I still swoon for it every single time!
While their relationship is far from smooth sailing, their story is so easily devoured. Danny is a 6'4 Scottish grumpy boss Billionaire and Charlie lives in a share house and taxidermy mouse that wears waistcoast and sword. What's not to love with these two!? They dont seem like the best fit but that just makes them the perfect fit!
They keep each other on their toes and their love is fierce between them, even if it takes a minute to see.
The book makes me laugh, giggle, melt and cry. Its honestly a top read for me out of the literal hundreds, I always come back.

"Taming Mr. Walker" was a bit of a roller coaster filled with throw up, slight emotional cheating, miscommunication, and oh, did I say throw up? The writing itself isn't horrible. It was easy to read and very binge-worthy. The main characters did have chemistry. However, Charlie's insecurities, while sometimes understandable, started to get a little old. She did not act like a person that was close to being thirty. Not saying that Danny was much more mature or better. I feel like we spent more time in her head, so it got a tiny bit annoying. I do wish that we didn't get his POV so soon. In books like this I like to first imagine how much the mmc craves the fmc; I didn't get to enjoy that aspect as much in this one. Felt too easy. Also, I genuinely want to know if people really just be throwing up everywhere and not cleaning it up.
I think "Taming Mr. Walker" will have some fans because it is indeed addicting. The tropes though may not be for everyone.
Thank you NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for this arc!

I gave this one 3 stars! I did enjoy it but not something I would re-read if that makes sense? But brothers bestfriend, enemies to lovers and age gap? I’m sold everytime. The banter in this book was actually so good, I was giggling the whole time, the tension/angst was off the charts
This was set in London so was actually really nice to read about the scenes being a UK girlie!

I heard from a fellow bookworm that she loved this book, so when I saw it on NetGalley with the new pretty cover, I couldn’t help myself. I needed to read it.
We have brother's best friend, forced proximity, and an age gap, and I was so ready for it. I made it up to chapter 9 and then something happened that made me stop.
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!
I don’t mind degradation in a sexy, safe space, but when the MMC calls out to the MFC in a non safe space to degrade her, it is a big no no for me, not even to build tension for the enemies to lovers plot.
Although I am very grateful to the publisher and author for sending this book my way, it is definitely not for me.

Review for Taming Mr. Walker by Rosa Lucas // So sorry, this is a yikes review…
Rating:
1/5 ⭐️☆☆☆ ☆ Yeah, not for me.
In case you needed clarification:
I went into Taming Mr. Walker hoping for a swoony, enemies-to-lovers romance with some bite, but what I got was a leading man who seemed more in need of therapy than a relationship. Heavy on the therapy part. Mr. Walker is sold as this brooding, misunderstood alpha, but honestly? He comes off more arrogant and emotionally manipulative than anything else. His idea of flirting is borderline insulting, and his hot-and-cold behavior felt less like romantic tension and more like toxic power dynamics wrapped up in a pretty package. There were several moments where I found myself cringing at how he spoke to (or about) women AND not just the heroine, but even side characters. It gave off the impression that dominance equals attraction, which is a tired and frankly dangerous trope when not handled with care. The female lead had potential, but her constant backtracking and justifying his behavior made it hard to root for her. Instead of growing into her own power, she seemed to shrink whenever he stepped into a scene. The writing itself isn’t bad, and I do think Rosa Lucas has a strong voice, but the romantic dynamic here felt outdated and frustrating. If you’re looking for a romance where respect and communication are as sexy as chemistry, this one might not be it.

This was a great read!
I loved the chemistry between Danny and Charlie, it was sizzling and I liked the story of their history.
Charlie trying to make a career path for herself and knowing Danny before he was successful was a good read.
I also really liked Tristan and Karl! 😍
An easy read with some sizzling content.

Taming Mr. Walker was such a fun, addictive read! I really loved the London setting- it added a charming backdrop to the story. The boss - employee dynamic was done so well; he was her boss, but it never felt controlling or toxic, which I appreciated. The age gap added just the right amount of tension, and it felt appropriate and believable. The spice? Chef’s kiss. 🔥 The pacing was spot-on too, no dragging or filler, just a steady flow that kept me turning the pages. A great mix of swoon, steam, and story!

Thank you NetGalley and Rosa Lucas for gifting me this eARC!
It was a good read, with a fun romance and spicy scenes! Everyone has to love a billionaire romance, they make it so much more fun and just get to imagine the life!
The miscommunication trope I did struggle with a little towards the end, it was done in a really good way but just for me, I struggled with it as I just wanted Charlie and Danny to get together and things just kept going wrong. It was a fun and easy read though!

Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for providing the ARC.
I was intrigued enough to request this book, but honestly, this book is rough. The characters are kind of all over the place and the plot doesn't really make a lot of sense (what little of it there is). Charlie is a bit insufferable, and it makes sense that Danny feels too old for her since she acts immaturely. Their relationship never really ended up making sense and as a result the story suffered as a whole.
Not the book for me.

Taming Mr. Walker is perfect for office steamy romance reader.

I loved it so much!
Thank you NetGalley and Page and Vine for the ARC

This book was not what I expected. There was no chemistry between Danny and Charlie. The writing was meh, and Danny acts like a jerk to Charlie throughout the book. The obstacle at the end of the book was just ridiculous, and there were way too many cringe moments in the book.
Spice rating: 2.5 out of 5 🔥

Cute workplace romance. The plot and storyline was enjoyable and flowed nicely. I found the characters mostly likable and there was a good bit of angst and miscommunication added, which I enjoyed!

What a fun story!
I'm always constantly searching for stories with the right balance of love and spice.I literally laughed out loud at some parts. The best British banter and humor.
The only thing I'll say is some of the characters confused me with their behavior they felt more like a stereotypical characters. Here boss and the receptionist. Overall a really nice story.
Thank you Netgallery for the ARC!

This spicy, chaotic workplace romance is full of charm, sharp banter, and addictive chemistry. Charlie (impulsive and fiery) and Danny (broody and irresistible) clash in all the best ways, delivering plenty of angst, miscommunication, and heat!!
Their tangled past and intense connection keep you turning pages, even though Charlie’s impulsiveness can be frustrating at times. Some of the spicy scenes feel a little awkward, and the ending is slightly abrupt, but overall this is a bingeable, dramatic read perfect for fans of hot, messy, and emotional romances with a satisfying HEA

*read previously on Kindle Unlimited, then given NG access* Taming Mr. Walker delivers an entertaining ride, with Charlie—a tech-savvy protagonist nursing a heavy dose of career frustration—at its center. Her situation is complicated by the towering success of her brother Tristan and his best friend Danny, the quintessential tall-dark-and-impossibly-rich love interest. Charlie’s unresolved attraction to Danny adds another layer of tension, made all the more awkward by a previous rejection.
Danny checks every box of the genre’s leading man checklist: chiseled physique, dazzling wealth, and intimidating charm. While there’s nothing inherently wrong with sticking to the formula, a little innovation wouldn't have gone amiss—something this book shies away from.
The pacing remains tight and engaging until it stumbles near the end with a last-minute breakup. The longstanding obstacle—Charlie’s brother—is given due setup but ultimately glossed over in favor of a convenient wrap-up. The chemistry between Charlie and Danny is charged but complicated by a notable ten-year age gap and Charlie’s emotional volatility. She's 28, yet her frequent insecure outbursts make that hard to believe. One meltdown could be chalked up to stress, but three? It starts feeling repetitive.
Miscommunication and immaturity drive much of the conflict, which gets predictable. That said, the book doesn't skimp on the steamy bits, and in the realm of erotica, that kind of payoff justifies the messier emotional detours.
