3⭐️ 3🌶️ 5🎧 I enjoyed this story; however, it was the run of the mill brother’s best friend who is also your boss, enemies to lovers’ story. I don’t feel there was anything that set this book apart from others with the same trope. This would not be the first book I would recommend to someone wanting these tropes, but I wouldn’t tell someone not to. It was enjoyable, just not a standout.

This story was narrated by Kitty Kelly and Ciaran Steward. They did a great job narrating this story and bringing the characters to life! I typically listen to audiobooks on 1.75x, and sometimes I need to slow it down when listening to accents, but I did not need to slow down with these narrators.

Thank you NetGalley and Page & Vine for the advanced copy of the eBook. I did purchase the audiobook so I could read and listen. This elevated the experience story experience.

This workplace romance serves spice, scandal, and a whole lot of Celtic charm.

Charlie (Irish, headstrong, passionate) and Danny (Scottish, broody, utterly irresistible) are opposites in every way. Except for their undeniable chemistry. The spice is intense, the banter is sharp, and the connection between them is addictive.

The emotional tension kept the story compelling. These two are a chaotic, fiery match. And I couldn’t look away.

Definitely one for readers who love their romance hot, complicated, and filled with heartache and heat.

Tristan and Charlies story is captivating and steamy! Lots of fun, drama, hot scenes, and romance. I loved the characters, even the side characters and what they added to the plot. While it was predictable, it was a great read. Looking forward to the next book.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

3.5 rounded up. I enjoyed the book overall, but it felt very much like the plot for Fifty Shades minus the red room. CEO falls for forbidden employee/best friend’s sister with some spice. I enjoyed most of the dialogue, imagery, and fast pace read, but found some of the diet talk cringe.

Definitely a book to binge. Entertaining. So much 🌶️ and a whole lot of angst. FMC did drive me a little crazy with her quick judgements - maybe more suitable for an early 20 something and not someone who’s supposedly 28. Read it in a day. Love a good HEA.

This book had an interesting hook and some decent tropes. The storyline is enjoyable however the sex scenes … i feel like they could been done better. They felt a little cringey at times.

The storyline itself was really good. I loved the miscomunication and all the angst.

The ending was abrupt and felt unfinished. .

Loved reading the riveting and engaging romance story. Charlie is shocked when she discovers her brother's best friend, Danny Walker, the handsome and charismatic man she made a pass at years ago, is her new boss, and Danny offers her a job with another company. Since Danny is attracted to Charlie, he needs her somewhere else, away from him. Read the highly recommended and wonderfully written love story. Can't wait to read the next story in the series!

I started reading before sleeping and finished before lunch the next day. A fast read and addicting. Great characters and a good angsty age gap between Danny and Charlie

Quick Summary: An age gap romance between enemies who become lovers

My Review: Taming Mr. Walker by Rosa Lucas was book #1 in the London Mister series. It is scheduled for release on 7/8/25.

About the Book: "...a ruthless tech tycoon...

MY BIG BROTHER’S ARROGANT, POWERFUL, HANDSOME, AND COMPLETELY UNOBTAINABLE BEST FRIEND

I find out he’s bought the company I work for...

[He is] ...not a man to be messed with."

In My Own Words: Charlie has always had a thing for her brother's best friend. Even years after her crash and burn attempt to seduce him failed, she's still hot for him. Is it possible that he might feel something for her?

My Final Say: This was a fast-paced weekend read that was easy to follow and easy to get lost in...in a good way. Overall, I found it to be hella hot, completely entertaining, and wholly HEA strong. It was not too serious. It was a simple read where two people who shared a long term attraction for each other finally acted on their feelings.

Other: Readers who enjoy fun, fluffy novels that feature enemies to lovers and romance with a sibling's best friend may like this story.

Brilliant. One of those romances that makes you laugh and tear up. It is full of misunderstandings and messes and lots and lots of whisky shots! Charlie is a bit of a mess, forgets to brush her hair and is dumped on by her boss at work, Danny is a mercenary CEO and buyer of companies. The clash was bound to happen and it happens in a suitably dramatic and very very sexy way.

help i was so cofused for the first few chapter. i thought charlie was a dude.
after that i likes about 10%.
BUT OMG the MC's were insufferable.
our MMC is an absolute dick to her and with the amount of times he called her a child i could be a fucking millionaire.
and our MFC was just soo annoying. like everything was a problem and she was OVERLY insecure.
and the ending was so rushed like they got back together in the last 2 pages.....

thankyou so much netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I usually love Rosa Lucas books but this one missed the mark for me.

My main issue was Charlie. She was really immature. The way she blabbed about everything to her friends made me cringe. The way she jumped to conclusions and slapped Danny and generally acted annoyed me. I also didnt get her. Was the story that she wanted to sing and get her music out there or was the story that she wanted to be a product developer? What was the point of the music storyline? I just couldn't work out what I was meant to be wanting for her.

Her friends were all very flat. They were there as plot devices only. I didnt fell her genuine connection to either. Not like with Danny and Tristan.

Yeah. It annoyed me more than entertained me this one.

Charlie is a lowly office worker and Danny is her big brother's billionaire best friend. He becomes her boss....

Love Charlie and Danny together. They have incredible chemistry. Their banter is terrific. A wonderful romance.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.
