Stop what you are doing!! Do not waste your time reading my review and just RUN don't walk and grab your copy of this absolutely EPIC page turner by the incredibly talented Emily Shiner. I can PROMISE that you will not regret it and you can thank me later!!

Emily does it YET again!! I genuinely don't think she can make a book that I don't love!! I have genuinely stopped even reading the synopsis of Emily's books anymore. When she drops a new book, I drop everything I am doing and just grab a copy, clear my day and get stuck straight in!! Love, love, loved this book!!!! This book is yet another absolutely gripping edge of your seat page turner!!! I mean just HOW HOW HOW can an author make each and every one of her AMAZING books EVEN BETTER each and every time???!?!? Emily Shiner you are the queen of crime!!! This book is extremely well written with vivid descriptions that really set the scene and put you in the storyline. The cover and synopsis suit the book perfectly.

As always with Emily's books the storyline was captivating and addictive from the first page until the very last and I was completely invested in it. It was absolutely rammed full of lies, secrets, romance, sun, sea, tension, sand, drama, twists, suspense and everything you could ask for in a page turning psychological thriller. I just could not stop reading this absolutely addictive book from the first word to the last. Emily's extremely talented and evocative skills really brought the book to life and I was completely absorbed throughout. I lost count of the amount of times I promised myself one more chapter but that one finished in a way I just HAD to know what would happen next so I said just more and this went on and on until I ended up finishing it in one sitting!!! The location and atmosphere was absolutely perfect for this gripping thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I absolutely love Emily's books and am guaranteed to be shocked every time I pick one up which is not an easy feat considering how many books I read a year so a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS Emily!!! One of the things I love about her books is that they can also be quite thought provoking and always end with MASSIVE BOMBSHELLS that I absolutely love and never do see coming. Emily's evocative writing drags you deep into the storyline from the first sentence to the very last and will keep you up until the very last word! THAT ladies and gentleman is a true sign of an absolute must read. I absolutely loved the ending which was definitely an unexpected twist which is just one of the reasons I love Emily's books, she manages to get me every single time!! I've said it before about Emily's books and I shall say it again!! I would absolutely LOVE to see this turned into a movie and would wait up all night to get tickets to watch it!! I love the fact that this book is set in Florida and as I was reading it in the garden with the sun on my face I was picturing myself in Florida. Emily is one of those fantastic authors that it really does not matter if you are reading this book by the fire with a hot chocolate or on the beach with a cocktail as Emily whisks you off to Florida where you can feel the sun on your face, the sand of your feet and the pounding of your heart at the turn of every page!!

I hope your busy writing your next book Emily as I just cannot wait to see what bombshell twist and explosive storyline you have up your sleeve for us next!!!!

Clear your schedules, get comfy and pack your bag as Emily is about to whisk you off to Florida for some sun, sand and suspense!!

The characters were all realistic and strong and I was completely invested in them throughout. I love the fact that we got to see what was happening from the points of view from not just Aimee and Emily's perspectives but she also takes us from the present day and into their past ensuring you can see what they are feeling now and what they were doing then and what has lead up to these explosive page turning twists! As with all her amazing books Emily weaves all of the chapters together with perfect timing until it all comes together with an explosive BANG!! It also explains absolutely everything which leaves no question unanswered at the end which is a pet hate of mine!! It also leaves you questioning what is really going on and gets you thinking more and more the deeper you delve into the storyline. Emily's multiple person perspective also really helps the reader understand the characters more making them more realistic to the reader. I was completely invested in all of the characters throughout and Emily's evocative descriptions really makes them jump out of the book and come to life in front of the readers eyes. All of the characters were multi layered with complex personalities which definitely made them all the more interesting to read about!!! Unfortunately, I really can not say anymore as I don't want to spoil it for future readers. I had no idea what to think of the different characters, what was really going on or where it was all leading which just goes to show what a talented author Emily is and I cannot wait to get hooked into her next psychological thriller which is guaranteed to be another page turner!! Regardless of what I thought about who, each character worked perfectly to make this page turning psychological thriller!!!

Congratulations Emily on yet ANOTHER huge success. This is the exact reason why you are in my favourite 5 authors list!! Here's to your next guaranteed success 🥂!!

Another great read from this author & I found this a fun read too finding out how Aimee & Hannah were going to get each other back. It took me a bit of time to get used to the two perspectives & different timelines but it became clear how this fitted into the story along with a few twists too!
As with other books by this author I've read, I found this a very easy read & is written well.

Well this book is full of unlikeable characters. Dale plans a vacation for his fiancé Aimee as an apology for cheating on her. When they arrive, they run into his mistress Hannah and her boyfriend Mitch at the airport. Every one of them have ulterior motives during the trip. There’s so much backstabbing and manipulation of each other. Almost every one of them has a secret that they’re keeping from the others.

The epilogue blew my mind. I was not expecting that twist.

As usual, Emily never disappoints. Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for my copy of this book.

The dual point of view adds depth and makes you constantly question who to believe. Just when you think you’ve figured it out, the story swerves in an entirely new direction, building to a jaw-dropping final twist. The sun-drenched Miami setting creates a vivid, almost surreal backdrop that contrasts sharply with the dark emotional warfare playing out between the characters, making the drama feel even more intense.

Another 5 star read from the talented Emily Shiner. She never disappoints me and always writes the best twisty psychological thrillers. A much deserved 5 star rating!

Aimee only agreed to this reconciliation/ apology holiday away, after her fiancé, Dale, cheated on her, to give her best friends time to get all her belongings out of the house Aimee and Dale share, then Aimee was intending on dumping Dale. So, three long days with Dale and then Aimee would be free. After arriving at the airport with no transport to their hotel, an unexpected friendly face from home, Mitch, offers them a lift in the taxi he got. Aimee is relieved until she gets in the car and finds Hannah, the woman Dale cheated on her with, in the back seat and suddenly Aimee’s plans drastically change. Hannah is confident that Aimee doesn’t know she was the one who Dale slept with, but Aimee does know as she saw them together and decides she wants revenge on both Hannah and Dale for breaking her heart. However, Aimee isn’t the only one with plans and revenge on her mind. But who will win and get the revenge they want so badly and at what cost?!

This was my 5th book written by Emily Shiner and as like her previous stories this one was another great page turner and difficult to put down. I think brilliant and intriguing sums this book up very well. I really enjoyed the dual POV’s and the past and present chapters kept me guessing the whole way through the story. I was constantly trying to figure out which character the past chapters were describing but I never got close to guessing their true identity. I have to say I didn’t like any of the main characters, but this is not uncommon for me with psychological thrillers as a lot have unsavoury characters but not liking them didn’t make the story any less interesting for me. I did not see the twist coming at the end, despite trying to guess at it and all my theories were wrong, so well done Emily Shiner for baffling me enough not to get it. Once I read the end, I really thought (hoped) there was scope for a sequel and after going to post this review on Amazon I see there is indeed a sequel planned for release in mid November….. I am very excited about this and can’t wait to read what happens next!

All in all, this was a thrilling twisty read that I really enjoyed and would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys a psychological thriller, you won’t be disappointed.

This is my SEVENTH book by Shiner and she's fast become one of my go-to-authors when I'm in need of a quick thrill fix.

It's a pacey read that had me reading late into the night. I was hooked...and that was just the prologue!

Told from the POV's of Hannah and Aimee, the story slips back and forth between then and now. It has secrets, lies and some jaw dropping deceptions.

First of all, THANK YOU for this ARC! Emily Shiner is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. She is so clever! Her books grip hold of you from the very beginning and they don’t let up until the end. The twist and turns she provides are so jaw dropping! I really enjoyed this one!

When I read the blurb for Uninvited by Emily Shiner, I was immediately drawn in and knew I wanted to read it. Aimee and Dale are on vacation and trying to repair their relationship. And it might work, until Hannah, his mistress, arrives with her boyfriend. Dale swears he has no idea why they are here. And so, the story begins and takes us on quite the ride!

This psychological thriller is full of twists, surprises, secrets and lies at every turn. Told in dual point of view from Aimee and Hannah, we are taken on a journey of revenge and suspense in the past and present. The characters are so questionable and unpredictable and we are kept at the edge of the seat to see how it all ends right from the start. I could not stop reading as we slowly learned things and that ending. Wow! Totally unexpected. I am so excited to read more from this authors.

Sun, sand, and secrets - what could possibly go wrong? Aimee and her fiancé Dale head to a Miami resort, hoping to patch up their fractured relationship. But paradise turns prickly when Dale’s mistress, Hannah, arrives with her own boyfriend in tow. Suddenly the poolside cocktails come with a side of betrayal, revenge, and more baggage than an airport carousel.

You have to suspend belief a little to really embrace this story - but then to be fair isn't that the case for most books? As the narrative shifts between past and present, tensions build like a storm cloud over the sun-drenched resort, promising thunder.

Shiner knows how to turn up the heat. The claustrophobic setting - humid, glittering, and buzzing with hostility, makes for the perfect stage. The story flits between alternating POVs creating shifting loyalties that kept me flipping pages, even when the drama occasionally strayed into soap-opera territory. And that ending… one last sting in the tail.

If you enjoy thrillers where everyone’s hiding something and trust is as scarce as a poolside cabana, this one will hit the spot. Fast, messy, and deliciously outrageous - making it an ideal beach binge.

Secrets, revenge, and an atmospheric vacation in Miami made for a thrilling read. Anyone who understands the betrayal of cheating and the hurt and pain it causes will appreciate this one and the need for revenge. This cut right to the chase within the first few pages and didn't relent for one second, making this a bingeworthy read that can be finished it one sitting. Every character had their secrets, each more mysterious than the next. Hannah (the mistress) was unlikable to her core, yet her antics were addicting to read. The ending became a little too unhinged for me personally, but it didn't detract from the overall story. This was a great one for any mystery/thriller fan, and I give it three and a half stars.

I loved this one! Uninvited is an awesome summer thriller that needs to be on everyone's TBR!

The vacation was supposed to be a getaway to help Aimee & Dale move past his cheating- or at least that's what Dale thinks. For Aimee, the trip is a means to an end. While she's pretending to be making up, her friends and family are moving her things out of Dale's apartment. Meanwhile, Hannah, Dale's gym buddy and the woman he cheated with, has big plans for the weekend, too. She's managed to book the same vacation and plans to make Aimee's life miserable... because it' s not Dale she's after.

This book is a fun, quick read with multiple perspectives where everyone knows something the others don't and you're just along for the ride. If you're a F*R*I*E*N*D*S fan, this one is like if the "They don't know we know they know." episode took a very dark turn. Definitely a good read and so far my favorite from this author!

The pacing of this book was great and seamless. It was easy to fall into it and getting to know the characters was fast and easy too. I am not the biggest fan of first person narration because the characters can easily seem immature and not quite act their age, and in the beginning I definitely felt like it was a bit juvenile but as the book progressed, this changed and I felt like I was reading a book more in line with the adult content which it contains.
I enjoyed the suspense and the twists and while certain things seemed repetitive, I think it added to just how badly our fmc wanted revenge.
Overall I enjoyed this book and would recommend to people looking for thriller recs!

This is my first book written by Emily Shiner and I absolutely loved it. I had heard about another of her books somewhere online and went looking for it on NetGalley. Found this one and requested it not sure if I would get it. So glad I did!

When Aimee and her fiancé go away for a weekend to mend their relationship after his infidelity, unknowing to her, his mistress Hannah shows up on their trip with her boyfriend in the same exact Hotel.

The dual timelines as well as multiple point of views was done really well. It is easy to follow and you don’t get lost.

UNINVITED is definitely a psychological thriller. The twists and turns were so good and you really don’t see them coming. I love that in a book. I look forward to more by Emily.

Talk about an addictive, shocking, thrilling, and twist filled read! Emily Shiner delivered with Uninvited, her vacation based psychological thriller!! I had a hard time putting this book as I wanted to know what diabolical things was going to happen next! Whew! Just when I thought I had everything figured out, Emily Shiner threw in another shocking twist that left me reeling!

Aimee and her fiancé Dale are in Florida for a vacation. They hope the time away will get their relationship back on track after Dale cheated on her. This trip was supposed to be fun in the sun and a chance to kiss and make up, but when Hannah, the woman he cheated with, and her companion Mitch show up, Dale claims he has nothing to do with them being there. Talk about uncomfortable!

Secrets, lies, manipulation, deception, and uncomfortable moments rule the day on this vacation. I loved the drama and the twists. The tension was oozing from the pages, and I loved every second of it. This book moved at a very nice pace, and I did not want to put this book down. I enjoyed the POV's of Aimee and Hannah. I also enjoyed getting glimpses into the past which also added to the intrigue and heightened my enjoyment of this book!

This was a gripping, fast paced page turner that had a few reveals which left me shocked and grinning like cheshire cat! Uninvited kept me on my toes and anxiously wondering what would happen next and how the book was going to end! Emily Shiner did not save that drama for her mama, she poured it into Uninvited!!! Whew! What a riveting book! If you have not read a book by Emily Shiner, do yourself a favor and give one of her books, such as this one, a read!

Emily Shiner definitely knows how to draw you in from the beginning and keep your attention! Within the first couple of chapters, I was already engrossed in this story as we discover Dale has planned an apology trip after Amiee has caught him cheating! Only for the mistress to show up with her own ulterior motives. I enjoyed the dual POVs from Aimee and Hannah! These ladies were on complete opposite ends of the spectrum so it was nice to hear both of their views on the events that took place. There is no way I could have predicted all of the secrets and deception that lied between Aimee, Dale, Hannah and Mitch! EVERYBODY was up to something & as the pages turned, there were simply more jaw dropping moments! Per usual, Emily Shiner has left me pleased with her writing style and storylines. Emily Shiner could write the alphabet A-Z and I would read it! I loved this book. The characters are so good. It's full of twists and turns. Kept me on the edge of my seat. Finished it in one sitting. Thank you for the opportunity to read this arc.

UNINVITED was a great thriller! This author utilized both dual timelines and multiple POV’s in this story. For me, this kept it entertaining from beginning to end! I loved all of the twists and turns and I certainly did not guess the ending! Give this one a try!

This book is so much more than I expected because it’s better!
Hannah is out to destroy Aimee who is on to her and what she did.
But the secrets are tightly coiled like a ball of snakes and they venomously bite.
Personally, I wouldn’t have trusted any of the characters because there was so much double crossing it made me dizzy.
It was a delicious story about deceit and deviousness that satisfied my not nice side!
