This book is so much more than I expected because it’s better!
Hannah is out to destroy Aimee who is on to her and what she did.
But the secrets are tightly coiled like a ball of snakes and they venomously bite.
Personally, I wouldn’t have trusted any of the characters because there was so much double crossing it made me dizzy.
It was a delicious story about deceit and deviousness that satisfied my not nice side!

Uninvited by Emily Shiner was a really engaging read. I enjoyed the way the story was told through different povs, it added depth and made me feel connected to the characters. The pacing kept me invested from start to finish, and I found myself eager to see what would happen next. While not perfect, it definitely held my attention and was a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ worthwhile read.

Love Emily’s books ! It’s the perfect holiday with her fiancé—until his mistress arrives…
Oh my word so many twists… Had me actually gasping out loud… Brilliant… I would give this more than 5 stars if I could. I could not put it down.

This book was one heck of a whirlwind from start to finish! I thought I knew where the plot twists were going, and then more inaccuracies started to add up. By the time I figured out what was happening, I was well invested in the story.
I have to admit that the pettiness of Hannah and Aimee was sometimes a bit much for me, but I get that it's part of the story and what makes it so engaging. Aimee also had a few dirty tricks up her sleeve, which I really liked, especially when it came to her fiancé and his downfall.
And that ending?? Total cliffhanger. I need more info on that pretty soon.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for sending me an ARC for my honest review!

YouTube video will be up in a few weeks.

It's no secret that I'm a sucker for a good revenge plot. Plus, nothing says “romantic getaway” like your fiancé’s side piece showing up at the same resort. Uninvited is messy, addictive, and dripping with drama. Both of the FMCs are just... diabolical. Emily Shiner delivers a sun-soaked thriller where every glance feels like a betrayal and every cocktail could be your last. Juicy, twisty, and absolutely vengeful.

Another brilliant storyline for this author. Aimee is on a short holiday with her fiancee but what he doesn;t know is that her friends back home are moving her sstuff out. He cheated on her and she is leaving him. When Dales friends book into the same hotel and book a room next to them it all kickes off. She knows who the woman is.
Great story that you won;'t be able to put down.

I really was hooked
Aimee and Hannah’s story and the back and fourth on what happened to cause all the drama was great!

Aimee is on a 3 day vacation with her fiancé who she recently discovered was cheating on her. While he believes it's for them to reconnect and move on, Aimee really is using it for a distraction for her friends to move her out of the residence she lives in with him. Things go wrong for everyone when the mistress, Hannah, shows up on the same vacation and of course, the same hotel.
I really thought this would be an easy, surface summer read. It is an easy, summer read but it has more twists and turns then tornados in Oklahoma. We soon discover, that not only is the vacation not a coincidence but Aimee and Hannah seem to have some history that needs hashing out. The twists keep coming. With two different points of view as well as flashbacks to high school, and you are not sure of who's memory you are working through, there is a lot of information but you won't be able to tie it all together until the end. All the odds and ends tie up nicely though. Then just for fun, Emily throws in one more massive twist.
Thank you Netgalley, Emily Shiner and Bookouture for the adviced copy of "Uninvited" All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a very suspenseful thriller that definitely kept me guessing. I loved the multiple POV’s and the past and present timelines. So many secrets and unknowns. You can just feel the sense of doom. This is so suspenseful and has some surprising twists as well! Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Let me start by saying I love Emily Shiner books! “Uninvited” is a twisty, fast-paced thriller that had me flipping pages quickly. Aimee and Dale head to Miami for a “make up” vacation after his infidelity—but what Dale doesn’t know is that Aimee plans to end things for good. Before they can even settle in, Dale’s friend Mitch and Hannah (the woman he cheated with!) appear, determined to insert themselves into the trip. The tangled web of secrets that follows makes for an addictive read, and the backstory between Hannah and Aimee is shocking. While the ending felt a bit muddled and some characters blurred together for me, overall this was a suspenseful and entertaining thriller. This one was just Meh for me, but it won’t stop me from reading her books.

Emily Shiner has done it again! I love her thrillers and they always keep me invested. Told over dual timelines, we find out what happened with Aimee and her fiance Dale, as well as the “other woman” Hannah, who has not only shown up on their vacation but also is staying at their sane hotel! I loved tbthe multiple points of view to tell the story, including an “unknown” perspective). This one kept me guessing til the very end!

Aimee and Dale are off for some romance as he’s jetting her off for some sun and fun in Miami to make up for cheating on her but he doesn’t realize that she planning on dumping him while they’re there. While they’re away, her friends are moving her things out of their place back home.
While waiting for the taxi at the airport, Dale sees his friend Mitch and of all people Mitch has with him Hannah, the girl that Dale cheated on Aimee with. Coincidence? Highly unlikely. Especially when Mitch and Hannah get the hotel to give them adjoining rooms so that they can work themselves all into Aimee and Dales vacay and ruin Aimee’s plan. But what does Hannah want with Aimee? Why is she trying to insert herself into her life?
This was a bang up page turner and the story behind Hannah and Aimee was shocking! If you need a fast paced thriller, look no further.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review

This had me at the edge of my seat. The more I read the more twist appeared and had me every which way but loose. The secrets, the lies, the schemes, the characters. These characters all had shady pasts and the present was a crazy roller coaster ride. Can't trust anyone to be who the first seem. The past and the present and future is all tangled up amoung these four. Everything was more unexpected into the next. There has to be a sequel, this left me hanging with my jaw wide open on the last words.

I can’t imagine being on vacation with my fiancé and his mistress shows up with her boyfriend. This trip was supposed to repair Aimee and Dale’s relationship. Another awesome thriller from Emily Shiner filled with lots of jealously and revenge!

A twisty, well written thriller. Emily expertly weaves characters backgrounds into the present day. All the characters have secrets, I didn't build an emotional attachment to any characters because of this. It's a great read.

This is the most perfect beach read.
It is filled with tension and drama and tells the story of Aimee and her fiancé, Dale, Dale has been cheating with Hannah and he hopes this will set their relationship back on track. but Aimee has other ideas.
When Hannah turns up with her boyfriend things take a turn and we learn of secrets and with more drama this books turns into a wild read.
I loved it and it on my list of read of the year..

Y’all! Florida sun, infinity pool, fruity drink in hand—pure bliss… until Hannah strolls in with perfect hair, a blinding smile, and the audacity to wave at my man. My brain instantly flips to “murdery daiquiri” mode.
Emily Shiner dishes tension so thick you could spread it on toast. You feel it in the sideways glances, too-tight smiles, and every fake “Oh, how lovely to see you.” I could taste the salt in the air and the bitterness in every poolside sip.
The plot? Deliciously soapy, a little outrageous, and just the right mix of “I can’t believe this” and “Oh no, I can.” A sun-kissed slow burn that explodes into chaos.
In short: Uninvited is messy, sizzling, unsettling vacation drama you’ll inhale. Just… don’t read it where your fiancé can see you side-eyeing him.

This romantic getaway turns into a nightmare when the fiancé’s mistress shows up: uninvited. It is a tense read full of betrayal and suspense.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for the eARC.
This is a twisty, psychological thriller that is perfect for a quick holiday read.
Told from two viewpoints from the main female characters, Aimee and Hannah, it all starts with Aimee and her fiancé, Dale, arriving in Miami for a holiday. It's his way of saying sorry for cheating on Aimee but while Dale is looking to get their relationship back on track, Aimee is planning revenge.
And then Dale's mistress, Hannah, turns up with her boyfriend Mitch. Is Hannah there to try and steal Dale or mess with Aimee? Does Aimee recognise her as the woman Dale cheated with?
As the plot progresses we start to learn Hannah's motives and there's far more going on than we first think.
You don't need to worry about trying to remember what is going on as Hannah and Aimee do repeat themselves with their thoughts a lot.
But it's fun watching the story play out and there are twists that I didn't see coming.
The four of them may have started the holiday together but there's no guarantee that they will all be leaving Miami.

"Uninvited" by Emily Shiner is a fast-paced psychological thriller filled with secrets, set in a tropical environment rife with manipulation, betrayal, and revenge. The tension builds steadily throughout the story, and a good twist at the end ties everything together nicely. While I guessed some parts, there were definitely surprising moments as well.
The narrative alternates between the points of view of Aimee and Hannah, who are so similar that I constantly struggled to figure out who was the villain and who was the victim. They both exhibit equally questionable behaviour.
Aimee is trying to move on after her fiancé, Dale, betrayed her. They head to Miami for what is supposed to be a relaxing vacation to reconnect. However, the holiday quickly turns into a nightmare when Dale’s mistress, Hannah, shows up right next door with her boyfriend, Mitch. This sets off a game of manipulation and rivalry between Aimee and Hannah. As secrets bubble to the surface and tensions reach their peak, their playful competition escalates. Ultimately, this trip becomes a dangerous game of survival, with someone unlikely to make it home.
