Emily Shiner has outdone herself! I enjoy all of her books but I think this one is one of my favorites. It grabbed me right from the beginning and I could not put it down! Great characters and so many twists and turns until the very end…….A roller coaster of a ride- loved it! Thank you to NetGalley, Emily Shiner and Bookouture for the opportunity to read and review this ARC. Definitely one of this authors best! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The new physcological thriller by Emily Shiner
This had me gripped so much so, I couldnt put it down without returning a few minutes later to read some more. It has suspense, .mystery it has it all!!
When Ainee accepts Dale's proposal, he books a romantic getaway . This is to make up to her for cheating Dale thinks that Aimee knows nothing and who the woman is. When they get to the airport they hail a cab, but they are all full. A familiar voice pipes up fro. Within the crowds it's Mitch Dale's friend and his so called partner Hannah.. Coincidence? Stalker? Killer. But why? And how does it end? This book has some fabulous twists in it. Highly recommend.

This was an interesting thriller that was fast paced. Short chapters kept me intrigued and continuing on. The characters were so unlikeable, which is what the author wanted. It seems like there will a sequel based on how it ended.

Title: Uninvited
Author: Emily Shiner
Imagine jetting off on a dream vacation with your fiancé—only for his mistress to show up uninvited!
It’s been a while since a book kept me this hooked. I couldn’t put it down! The storyline was gripping from start to finish, even though I found the characters a bit frustrating at times. Despite that, I had to know how it all played out—and wow, that ending really took me by surprise! A truly satisfying twist.
Thank you NetGalley, Emily Shiner and Bookouture for the eARC!!

This was a super fast paced and easy to read novel. The main character Aimee has just been cheated on by her boyfriend Dale. Dale plans a trip to Miami to rekindle and recover their relationship. Upon arrival, the duo unexpectedly runs into the woman Dale was cheating on Aimee with and her so called boyfriend Mitch. The book almost had a locked room kind of vibe, as you know one out of the four of them ends up dead by the end. Hannah and Aimee are on a collision path destined to blow up. There really aren't any characters you want to root for - they all equally are not the greatest people. There is a secret that is central to the plot that you desperately want to be let in on, so I did fly through this book. The epilogue was shocking and a bit confusing because it felt like it was a cliffhanger, so maybe there's a sequel.

This book is a suspenseful read filled with secrets and shifting trust. The characters are intriguing and unpredictable, making it hard to know who to believe. The setting heightens the sense of unease, drawing you deeper into the story with each chapter.

Wow, this was dark. And very, very twisty! I can’t imagine how much planning it took to get this multi layered plot worked out!
Aimee’s fiancé , Dale, is taking her away to Miami as an apology for cheating on her. Aimee is going along, but only because she needs Dale out of the way so that her friends can move her stuff out of his apartment. She’s not sticking with a cheater.
When they arrive, they find themselves face-to-face with Hannah and Mitch. Hannah is the woman that Dale cheated with but he doesn’t realise that Aimee knows who Hannah is. And what none of them realise is that Hannah also has an agenda! Oh, and so does Mitch!
Such a brilliant, brilliant read with so many twists, my head was spinning. I was so completely hooked and I really couldn’t tell what had gone on between these four characters.
Amy and Hannah are the main narrators and I really struggled to decide who I was rooting for as they each tried to stay one step ahead of the other. Fantastic!
5 ⭐️ Thanks to Netgalley, Emily Shiner and Bookouture, for an ARC of this book.

Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for an early copy of Uninvited. The cover is breathtaking!!! This one was a hard one to get into, very childish writing in the dialogue for first third of the book, I was actually going to give up BUT then it took a new spin and I was sooooo glad that I kept reading! All the characters were horrible, despicable and you rooted for bad to happen to them. Even the parents were not nice people and how that left scars from the childhood. The epilogue was like WAIT WHAT???? I definitely think there will be a sequel.

Loved this book! Just like every other Emily Shiner book I have read I could not put this book down!!! I kept wanting to read more to see what was going to happen! Already looking forward to her next book!!!!

This book was incredibly interesting!
First of all, I want to thank NetGalley and BookCouture for letting me be a part of this journey and for letting me read this ARC.
After reading the summary of the book, I was a bit skeptic at first, I must confess. Most thriller books lately have similarities with the plots and this one was not an exception. But honestly, when I began reading it, my skepticism was thrown out of the window.
I hated Dale and Hannah so much, it is not written. Aimee was a wonderful character and I was almost giving my heart to Mitch, but when I read the epilogue, I gave up.
This was a four-star reading, no doubt at all.
I can't wait to read more of this author!

I didn't suspect the ending or who was going to do what. You can't trust anyone in this book which is why I loved it so much and finished it in 24 hours.

This was my first book by this author and I am going to continue to read her books. This book had so many twists and turns and I loved every minute of it. Just when I thought I had it figured out, I was wrong. This was a great book

I was so excited to read this book and it did not disappoint. I loved the storyline and all the characters. It was full of mystery and suspense. That twist at the end? Yeah, I was not expecting it at all!!
This book piqued my interest from the first page and I did not want to put it down! The fact that Emily Shiner chose Florida for most of the story, was a brilliant idea!! Expect the unexpected in Florida, always!!
All of these characters had their skeletons in the closet but the most unhinged one, in my opinion, was the quiet and calm Mitch. It would be great if the author wrote about Mitch's story. I would absolutely read it!!
This was a 4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ for me only because I was able to guess the part about the twins. Great read; I recommend 💯
I want to thank Netgalley and Bookouture for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

3 Stars ⭐⭐⭐
The Uninvited delivers a creepy vibe right from the start, making it an easy book to read in just one sitting. The tension builds steadily, and while I enjoyed the overall atmosphere, Dale’s character often felt over the top and hard to like, which made it tricky to fully connect with the story. The twist was the highlight for me—it pulled the whole story together nicely, even if I guessed it before the reveal. A solid read for fans of mild thrillers who don’t mind a few predictable beats.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

🏖️ Uninvited by Emily Shiner
🌀 Genre: Mystery, Psychological thriller
💭 Vibe Check: Sitting poolside, cocktail in your hand, no worries in the world… until SHE shows up about to stir up some drama you sure didn’t pack for. 🧳🍹
📕 Story Premise: 3/5
Aimee’s soon to be ex fiancé, Dale, suggests a trip to Miami in a last-ditch effort to save their relationship after being caught in an affair. But things take a turn when they discover his mistress, Hannah, is staying in the hotel room right next door. Why is she there? Is she trying to win Dale back, or is there something deeper behind the affair?
Character Energy: 3.5/5
These characters kept me both entertained and stressed with all their lies, secrets, and sneaking around. I was constantly torn about whose side to take! Aimee had me wishing she’d just gone home, Hannah was too manipulative to bear, Dale was hard to root for, and Mitch… well, I’m still trying to figure him out.
⏰ Flow Factor: 5/5
Shiner’s books are always fast paced and compelling. This one bounces between two POVs and different time periods so smoothly, each chapter leaves you wanting more.
⚡️ Shock Value: 4/5
The twist and big reveal definetly took me by surprise. I was shocked I didn’t think of it sooner. That said, the ending didn’t quite resonate with me personally. I found myself wishing Shiner had taken a different direction, but I appreciate the bold choices made.
⭐️ Final Verdict: 3/5
This book was fast paced and totally bingeable. I flew through it! While the story kept me engaged, I did struggle a bit with the premise. Personally, if I were in Aimee’s shoes, I might have made a different choice once the mistress showed up. That said, I know some readers enjoy exposed secrets and dramatic twists, and this one definitely delivers on that front.

What a book! It kept me hooked from the start. So many twists and turns I honestly didn’t know why was coming next.

Another great read by Emily Shiner! This was a fast paced, short chapter, POV identified, one day read for me. I stayed up waaay too late reading - I just had to find out who was going to outsmart who. The fiancée is determined but the mistress is on a mission. I always enjoy Emily Shiner’s and this one doesn’t disappoint. Just when you think it can’t get anymore twisted, it does. (3.5/5)
Thank You to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Emily Shiner for the opportunity to read and thoroughly enjoy this ARC.

My drink almost slips from my hand when the gorgeous blonde arrives by the infinity pool and gives my fiance Dale a little wave. It's her. His other woman, Hannah, with her own boyfriend in tow, When he cheated I was devastated. He always made me feel like I was his whole world. The trip was supposed to be our last chance to reconnect. Dale swears he didn't invite her - but how did she know which resort we'd be at?
This is a character driven story. Aimee and her Fiance Dale were trying to reconnect after Aimee caught him cheating on her. But when Hannah and her boyfriend Mitch unexpectedly turn up at the same resort, it quickly becomes a nightmare.
This story is told Aimee and Hannah's perspectives, and it's told in the then and now format. There's revenge, betrayals, deception, secrets and lies. I never saw the ending coming.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #Bookouture and the author #EmilyShiner for my ARC of #Uninvited in exchange for an honest review.

Drama,drama,drama..... From just reading the prologue I was intrigued. This was a well paced, entertaining summer read. A quick read might I say. The twist were fantasticly placed. The multi POVs within the story were good. I truly enjoyed the past and present feel. Made for a better understanding of the story and its plot. The amount of tension written in the story had me on the edge of my seat waiting for the shoe to drop. I found myself gasping and in awww with this book. Emily has done it again.
Thank you Netgalley and Emily Shiner for the eARC. This review is that of my own.
