I usually only read western romance....this was more of an old fashioned shoot em  up type western,   but wow,  I could not put it down once I started it.    Lots of action and excitement in this one.   I was not happy with the ending......wanted it to go on a little more.   I wonder if this is a series?    Hope so.

I really enjoyed this western. It's been awhile since I read something in the genre and it was a good way to dip my toes again. It was a fast paced novel. The main character Kemp is your typical lawman tough guy, but this book was a little different with him having a daughter. I really enjoyed the small amount of the family aspect. It had action that was believable and a couple of humorous moments that I wasn't expecting. The only negative I have about the book is the punctuation. He seemed to exclaim things (!) quite a bit and the exclamation points didn't match the dialog tags the author used. I would however read other books by the author, because it was an interesting read.
