Annie Philips has just lost her husband and found after his passing that she was pregnant. Feeling devastated and trying to her get her around her now life, she except an off from her sister to stay in a cottage in Anglesey. As soon as she arrives, strange things start to happen to her, She is woken in the night by dark sprit who is determine to tell her what secrets sound the cottage.
The book started very well and I enjoyed getting into the fast paced plot however I then felt it was somewhat rush towards the end and not as dramatic as advertised on the book. It started as a good thriller and turned into the main character becoming a ghost whisper. Not being a great speller myself or proof reader, It doesn’t tend to bother me to much when there are typo and spelling mistakes, unfortunately there were a lot which were very noticeable.
While I didn’t love it, I would read another book from this author and look forward in doing so.

I received a copy of " Lay me to rest" in exchange for an honest review, and all I can say is that I really love it! It jus keeps getting better. The story is beautifully written, sad, dark and full of nostalgia. I will definitely follow the author's future work.

Let me start by saying this, if I ever find a mysterious box I would think before I opened it. This is an excellent addition to the paranormal and mystery suspense genre. I was glad when I started reading it that it wasn't very late and it was still light outside; definitely gave me some chills. I love to be surprised when I am reading so E.A. Clark did an amazing job keeping me guessing from one page to the next. Annie is an amazingly strong female lead that I can't wait to find out more about. Thank you NetGalley and E.A. Clark for allowing me read and give an honest review of this book.
