Absolutely brilliant. SAS stories have always interested me so i had to read this once i saw it. This is in my top 5 favourites. The story was brilliant, the plot was enticing, the characters where relatable and lovable and i found i couldnt put the book down. Well done James Deegan.

The only thing that bothered me about this book was that Carr wasn't strong enough to stand up for what he believed in near the beginning of the book and I could never quite shake that cowardice for such a "hard" man.
But other than that part the rest of the book was exactly as I'd have expected it to go. Pretty sure i remember this book from McNab but with different characters.
Not a book you'll be throwing quotes from to try and top your mate that likes to quote Shakespeare but definitely something you'll want for a flight or whatever.

I found this book difficult to get into and consequently could not finish in order to write a full review. I do read a lot of thrillers and action books so this one did sound as if it would appeal but unfortunately it just did not compel me to carry on reading.

Super, violent revenge style thriller based around events in Northern Ireland 25 years ago with their ramifications in the present day. Beautifully atmospheric with the sort of hard nosed hero we all love! Hopefully left open at the end so that this becomes a series..recommended!
