I was a little disappointed with this devotional because I expected it to go deeper into Revelation itself and explore and explain its meaning, but instead it uses a couple verses from Revelation each day and then jumps off on a theme from those verses for a devotional that isn't really about Revelation. Each devotional was good, but I guess I was looking more for an in-depth study of Revelation itself.

I received a complimentary electronic copy of this devotional from NetGalley.

The book of Revelation is a challenging read. In Two Minutes in the Bible Through Revelation, Boyd Bailey takes you through Revelation with very practical applications and golden nuggets of wisdom. As you read through Revelation and read the short devotional entry for that day, what is mysterious and even confusing becomes very applicable. Boyd Bailey has a gift of communicating the truth of Scripture in a way that can change your every day life. I was able to appreciate the truths in Revelation like never before after reading this devotional.

Two minutes a day may not seem like much, but it is just enough time to dive into the book of Revelation. With this treasure - Two Minutes in the Bible Through Revelation - it is easy to really understand the last book of the bible. With short, but meaningful, reflections, this book is a wonderful guide to deepening your understanding of what is so often thought of as the most confusing portion of the good book.

Boyd Bailey has a treasure here with short writings to deepen your faith and role as a bible scholar. Well worth diving into!

This is an informative and encouraging devotional that can be used for a quick time of Bible reading. Each devotion begins with a verse (or two) from Revelation, continues with several paragraphs of explanation/encouragement, and ends with a question for further thinking and several related Bible references. If you just read the devotional without going into the related readings, this will really only take 2 minutes a day. However, you could extend it by thinking about the personal question and diving into the other passages in the Bible for further study. I thought this book would explain Revelation (and there might be a short paragraph about the verse) but it is really about the theme from the verse (e.g., suffering, faith, serving, etc...). This book would be helpful to those readers who want a quick read of the Bible and also think about how to apply the information to their lives.

It is hard to find such a daily devotional guide as good as "Two Minutes in the Bible Through Revelations." Typically, daily devotionals and reading plans tend to be highly topical and not very deep in theology. This one however, is the opposite of that. It is both theologically deep and at the same time culturally relevant. Each daily topic starts with a verse and an exposition on that verse and then it goes into the practical application point for the day. I found it both challenging and convicting at times as the daily topics have really touched home several times. For example, there is a daily heading called "Cultural Christianity," that highlights Revelation 3:15; "I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either own or the other!" This is a verse that has always resonated with me as I think about how I live in my communities (work, church, etc.). The closing remarks on this particular day were a challenge to be an ""influence" in your culture and not to hide in the comfort zone of closet Christianity. I highly recommend "Two Minutes in the Bible Through Revelations" for those wishing to dig deeper in their daily walk with God.

This book was absolutely amazing and very well written. Most people shy away from Revelations because they think it is about doom and sadness. But this book totally changes that perception. It talks about how we overcome because of Jesus and how we have victory in life because of Him. It was great to read the devotions each day knowing that I was getting a good word to start my day.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this devotional book. But I thought it would be a bit more in-depth and comprehensive than it is. As the name implies, this is a devotional and not a study nor does it go verse by verse. It is worth reading. Especially if you use this as a starting point to dig deeper.

Revelation has been one of my favorite books of the Bible since I was a teenager and stayed awake one night to read the book in its entirety. It is also one that I continue to have many questions about, even though I have participated in many Bible study groups based on Revelation since early adulthood. It is meant to be a book of hope for Christians as revealed to John on the Island of Patmos. The 90 devotionals in this book begin with a scripture taken from Revelation with thoughts and reflections for that reading, including one or more additional, related scripture verses. I found this to be a very meaningful devotional to accompany my daily Bible study and prayer time. I mistakenly assumed that the book would taken more of an educational, interpretative view on the book of Revelation, and while I was looking forward to that, it was still a helpful, and encouraging book.
I rate this book 4 stars. I highly recommend it to those seeking an addition to their daily Bible study and prayer time.
I received an ebook of this selection from netgalley and Harvest House Publishing in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. All views expressed are my own.

Two Minutes in the Bible Through Revelation is a 90 Day Devotional by Boyd Bailey. The author has created a devotion using the scriptures of Revelation to make is less confusing and intimidating. Each devotion has a Revelation scripture/s, commentary, related scriptures to research, and a couple thought-provoking questions. Each devotion is concise and compelling for two minutes but could easily challenge you for twenty minutes to two hours with its verses, applications and questions.
I have only made it part way through the devotion but I would definitely recommend it. The author has a passion for sharing the scriptures and meaning of Revelation to us and it shows through in his writing.

I saw Revelatins through a new light. I thought it was all about prophecy of the end times but I there is hope hidden in these scriptures.
