Amazing book, I just couldn't put it down. Totally different to what I was expecting at the start. Very credible and beautifully developed. I can't recommend it enough, it would make a great film.

Heidi Perks has just gone to my current favourite author, this book was intense and I couldn't put it down read it from start to finish in one night.
The story revolves around two women and their families the first is Charlotte in her nice house in a nice place in town, lovely gardens perfect families
Harriet lives in a dark small house on wrong side of town
Both these mums meet up and chat on park bench whilst their children play, Harriet has one little girl Alice who she is constantly with she doesn't work as she looks after Alice and her husband Brian
Charlotte is a single parent with Jack and Molly ,she is separated from their dad
All is fine until Harriet asks Charlotte to look after Alice at the school fete the kids are playing fine until they come of a bouncy ride without Alice.
And then the story takes lots of twists and turns secrets and lies are uncovered but I never expected the outcome that the author wrote
Amazing book

If I could have given this book more than 5 stars then I would have done!!! This book was beyond amazing and I read it in the one sitting. The story was cleverly drip-fed by the author fleeting between the past and the present and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough!!!

I am not going to say too much about the story itself as I don’t want to run the risk of inadvertently revealing any spoilers. So here goes - Harriet asks her friend Charlotte to look after her daughter, Alice, for the day while she goes to a course. It’s a lovely day and Charlotte takes Alice and her own three children along to the school fete. Whilst there she becomes distracted with her phone and takes her eyes off the children for mere minutes. However when she looks up, Alice is nowhere to be seen and panic sets in. What follows is a fantastic storyline with which you will not be disappointed - told from both Harriet and Charlotte’s viewpoint there is a race against time to find out what happened to Alice.

I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Whizzed through this one, a totally addictive read.

We have the story of Harriet, who never lets her daughter Alice out of her sight, has never let Alice be minded by anyone, this despite Alice reaching 4 years of age. For the first time ever, due to needing to attend a bookkeeping course in an attempt to find ways to earn extra money when Alice eventually goes to school, Harriet leave Alice with her best - and only - friend, Charlotte.

Charlotte takes her three children and Alice to a school fete. Taking her eyes off the kids for a moment, Alice disappears.

The story takes a predictable course from here, as the search for Alice proceeds. Charlotte is left to deal with the guilt of losing Alice, and the blame from many, particularly Harriet's husband Brian.

The story intensifies and gathers pace, and takes the reader in a surprising direction. No spoilers, but the clever plot is one I thoroughly enjoyed. The story of obsession, and the damage it can cause.

Highly recommended.

Love a good psychological thriller and was intringued what the story entailed after reading the blurb. I have to admit at times i was frustrated bythe female main character Harriet. Without telling readers to much I realise this was part of her character which helped the story unfold and explain what happpened and why. This is not a normal run of the mill missing child book as there seems to be a lot of these lately. Now you see her tells the story from a totally different angle. I wasnt prepared for the chilling and sometimes sad story and it had me gripped to the very end.

Excellent story with a nice little twist in the middle. I felt so sorry for Charlotte and I'm not sure I would have acted as she did in the same position. I highly recommend this book, I though it was well written and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A well thought out plot with many twists and turns that kept you wanting to read to find out how it would all pan out. It wasn’t what I expected at all in the end which was a nice surprise. It was a storyline which you can relate to but hope it would never happen to you. I would recommend this to people who like psychological thrillers.

Wow. What a rollercoaster of emotions. After a gentle start, then everyone’s worse nightmare this book had me gripped. Suspecting all and believing no one I literally read from start to finish. Brilliantly written with the right amount of twists and turns.

crikey this was a real must read. it was a bit like a tub of pringles once opened you must finish.
I enjoyed how the characters developed and the whole story line.
I don't want to spoil the book for anyone so I wont mention the plot except to say it was brilliant!

A taut thriller that keeps you reading to the end. It is the story of friendship, the secrets we keep and the lies we tell to protect ourselves. You could easily devour this book in one sitting and I like the way it is told from two points of view in two timeframes.
The writer draws you in to the characters and their lives, whilst spinning the web of deceit to pull you into the story. It causes you to question the truth about friendship and how well do we really know our friends lives?
Harriet leaves her little girl Alice with her friend Charlotte for the first time and Alice disappears at the school fete. As the book progresses yo realise all is not as it seems and there are secrets to be exposed. The twist is unexpected and unlike other thrillers I have read recently it has a proper end.

This book started very well and I was gripped for well over half wondering what was going to happen but then it just lost its way somewhat. Too many additions to the plot which I suppose were to develop the characters but really didn’t.
I wouldn’t say it wasn’t worth reading because it was certainly not the worst book I’ve read and it is an easy read so probably good for a journey or when you’re looking to be distracted.
Plenty of promise but needed a more disciplined approach.

Now You See Her, had such a great premise but unfortunately after the initial shock of Charlotte losing her best friends child, the story kind of fell flat for me and became utterly predictable. I thought the novel was really well written and did have some aspects I enjoyed but for me it was just a bit too slow paced and not as thrilling as I would like (especially when it's described as a 'compulsive thriller').

I'd like to thank NetGalley for the copy of the book. Very good plot, kept me awake til morning hours. A bit predictable for me (or maybe I've read too many novels of that kind). Overally - a good book I'd recommend if you like thrillers about abducted children. I'd read another book of the author if had a chance.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this book. I was captivated from the very first chapter. This story is no doubt the best I’ve read so far. The storyline was great. The plot the twists right down to the characters was brilliant. Definately a 5star book. I will definately recommend this one.

This was quite gripping and there were some interesting surprises - twists is too strong a word. The characters were quite believable, and the sinister husband was particularly chilling. The missing child scenario was handled well but the plot didn't really develop until two thirds of the way through so I got a bit bored and almost didn't continue. However, it picked up to a dramatic denouement and the conclusion was satisfactory.
(N.B. Chesil beach is spelt wrongly as Chessel.)

I was really looking forward to reading this and it didn't disappoint! Really good story that made me really connect with poor Harriet, the love she had for her daughter Alice was so obvious and the need to protect her from her bully of her husband. I think the pace of the book was really good and the plot was very gripping, I will deffinatly be recommending this one!

Fantastic story, with a lot of gripping twists and turns. Believable characters, with a perfect amount of emotional intensity to fit the storyline. Written in a style that was easy to read, yet full of descriptive scene setting. I couldn't wait to get to the end of the book to see how everything concluded. All in all a very enjoyable read which had me hooked from the beginning. I will be looking out for more from this author
