A light hearted novel set in Dublin and surrounds. Aisling is in her late 20s and reckons her boyfriend of 7 years should have proposed by now.
The book romps through their relationship and break up. Aisling's change from a country girl into a semi -city girl. We meet her family and friends and all told the book is a light hearted story of her life with tears and laughter. Very well written at times, Aisling's excursions into the world of dating don't go well, but she has her happy ending!

Ireland being my spiritual home I always love and am drawn to anything set there. But it has to feel as if it's set there...recently I've read novels set in Dublin that could have been set in Redditch. There was no character at all. So to come to this novel was a joy. It's funny and heartbreaking in equal measures. Whilst it comes across initially as a romantic comedy it becomes more of a tale about a girl shaking off the expectations she's grown up with and finding a new path. It's not massively heavy on plot but its an enjoyable book to while away a few hours, that will leave you with a smile and maybe a tear at the end.

This was a surprise read.....lots of banter, new expressions, and an interesting lead character. Funny and sad in turns, if slightly meandering. Probably a nice holiday read.

Just absolutely hilarious. I loved it and could not put it down. This felt refreshingly different, brutally honest and enchanting. And I couldn't stop laughing.

#OMGWACA is ace; Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen should be proud.

I would say, read this if you're looking for a light summer read, but with the #RepealThe8th honourable mention towards the end of the book, that would be somewhat misleading.

"at twenty-eight, I'm too long in the tooth to be raging about exes and jealous of girls in pictures."

Aisling is such a relateable character, and this is the perfect age for her. #OMGWACA made me a terror to sit alongside on public transport as I'd be giggling and snorting with laughter every given minute at her Irish colloquialisms.

She is unknowingly hilarious; perceptive; conflicted (when it comes to matters of the heart) and absolutely clueless on socialising and just surviving day-to-day life like any mid-twenty something nowadays (and this is being written by one).

This book had me hooked from the first chapter. I loved it as it was so relateable, easy to read and had me properly belly laughing. The shorter chapters meant you found yourself always wanting to read one more chapter. The ending let it down a bit as it seemed to end abruptly and then jump ahead in time

Not my cup of tea ... I'm no stranger to Irish authors, but found this constant shoehorning of Irish references, expressions and cultural references a bit too much. Couldn't get as far as finding out if there was a plot. As I was previously unaware of the Facebook connection I could have missed the point, and perhaps it will appeal only to existing 'fans' of this author.
Thanks to the publisher for a review copy.

This one wasn’t for me. I didn’t find it very funny and it bored me to the point I stopped reading it.... I can see how others might like it though, so I put this one down to personal preference. Simply not my cup of tea...

Such a fantastic read! I was so joyous every time I picked up the book to read more about Aisling, Irish country girl living in the big city, figuring out who she is and what she wants in life. It's just pure entertainment, it's charming, easy to read and funny. Perfect book friend to cheer you up after a hard day.

Oh My God, What a Complete Aisling is set in Ireland, and it's really Irish. Is not one of those books that are just set in Ireland, it's full-on Irish that will make you Google words and phrases to figure out exactly what's going on. And I adored it! It was different than an American chick-lit that's so well known to me, it was exciting to learn about a different approach to life written in a way that's unique among all other books I read.

Aisling is a girl with a golden heart that is great to have around. Even though sometimes I was struggling with understanding her life choices and her attitude, each time I doubted her, she stole my heart anyway because of her honesty. Honesty and passion are things that I appreciate most in people and in my book characters, and Aisling had both.

If you looking for making a book friend, this book is just for you. You will get warm fuzzy feelings and you will laugh.

Loved this book. Was an enjoyable read, even more so because we have relatives who live in Dublin and I kept on hearing her using the Dubliner colloquialisms.
Got totally caught up in Aisling’s life. Lovely

My first time read of these authors but it won't be my last. I have never laughed out loud so much reading a book as this and as a descendant from Irish stock I thoroughly got the Craic, Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen truly brought to live this book. As Aisling navigated through her life, her woes, her happy times. What started out on a Facebook page of all places has transcended into this book, which I did follow which is one of the reasons I requested this book. Also as a visitor to Dublin, on numerous occasions, my grandmother was born there. I understood the lingo and comments some may struggle with it. but don't be put off by that, It would be a shame for you to miss out on such a fantastic read of how do be an Aisling. I wanted to be part of them so bad I visualized in my dreams. The authors have gifted us one hell of a book.
Highly recommended!
Giving huge thanks Penguin Michael Joseph for an ARC. and to Netgallery for the oppurtunity to do so.

This book is absolutely brilliant. I read it in a day as I couldn't put it down. Aisling is an Irish girl in her late twenties. She is from a small town where everybody knows each others business. Ailing has been going out with boyfriend John for seven years and she hopes he is going to propose to her. they have been attending quite a few weddings recently as their friends get married. Throughout the story I laughed out loud, at Aisling, and I cried with her too. A must read book!

This is an easy and entertaining book, but so Irish I sometimes got lost in all the cultural references and Irish 'in' jokes. Some laugh out loud moments made this overall an uplifting read.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my ARC.
