I requested this several years ago and I don't think it's a book for me anymore. So I will not be reviewing at this time, but if I do read it, I will update this review. Thank you for the opportunity.

Sabrina is snarky and sarcastic; Matt is quick-witted, funny and sweet. I loved them as a couple, as negotiators, enemies, friends and lovers. Many beautiful details and sigh-inspiring events.

We have already experienced the sizzling chemistry between Matt and Sabrina in Hot Asset, and we finally get to explore their enemies to lovers romance in Hard Sell! This was a quick and steamy read. I could feel the chemistry between Matt and Sabrina. I am a total sucker for enemies to lovers, so I really couldn’t resist this one.

Matt Canon's reputation as a broker gets tainted after a wild bachelor party in Las Vegas and what better way to fix this by creating a fake relationship. Thus, he gets his 'frenemy', Sabrina Cross, to act as his fake girlfriend to convince his clients that he's mature and committed. And of course, what follows is just a series of steamy and sexy romps due to their undeniable chemistry.

I loved this second installment of the 21 Wall Street series! Matt and Sabrina's interactions as frenemies in the first book, Hot Asset, had me so intrigued. And so and behold, I was disappointed and I'm definitely not lying when I say their chemistry was incredibly explosive. And don't get me started on the banter. Not only did I enjoy the romance but the characters as well. They're perfectly flawed and so raw.

Lauren Layne will continue to be an auto-buy author for me. She never disappoints.

Hard Sell was a fantastic enemy to lovers trope encompassing story filled with great characters, an engaging plot and an ending that was satisfying, as these two are so good for each other. I also loved the surprising twist Ms. Layne included that these two have actually been enemies with benefits and that their relationship isn't all about how much they dislike each other.

Both the main characters really push each other to their limits, as their more frenemies than friends or enemies. Not knowing whether to love or hate the other. Then again, both are so emotionally damaged after everything they've been through in their pasts, and it's more than likely why they connect so well.

And their connection is electrifying. Charged like the joining of two magnets. Attracting perfectly. Even better, their intense connection spills over onto the pages in hot sex scenes that had this reader cheering for this couple's happy ever after, as they need each other.

Overall, Ms. Layne has delivered a fabulous read in this book where working on Wall Street seems vicious but it's understandable why the hero's bosses want him to have a clean image and the heroine is savvy and works hard to help Matt. Honestly, he desperately needs her otherwise he could lose everything. Luckily, Sabrina is really good at her job.

I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.

4.5 stars — I had a feeling I might enjoy Matt and Sabrina, and I was right! Which is so weird, b/c if you follow my reviews, you know I’m NOT an enemies to lovers trope fan. But somehow I often end up loving Ms. Layne’s versions. I think it’s because you can tell from each of their POVs that there’s a lot going on underneath, and if mean things get said there is at least internal remorse (and sometimes external). It’s seriously the little things, and Matt and Sabrina’s story had ALL the little things for me.

I kind of enjoyed that they were both damaged by their upbringings to be wary of marriage and commitment, but for different reasons. But I felt for both of them. I’m not saying they didn’t frustrate me at times, but not enough for me to lose my love for them…I knew they’d get there.

The funny thing is, I’m not sure what I love about each of them individually, though they’re both very interesting individuals with a lot of sass and snark. But it was the two of them together that had me captivated. I think it’s because their relationship had so much push and pull — this amazing chemistry, with both of them alternating between fighting it and capitulating. And it was just fun to watch them both slowly start to realize things — start to let their guard down with one another. I just really enjoyed that journey.

As always, the secondary cast was awesome. I seriously think Ms. Layne writes some of the best friend groups.

Also, shout out to Juno who was adorable.

And now we move on to Kennedy and Kate. I really have no idea what’s behind both of them, but I’m excited.

Another well written exciting book from Lauren Layne. Excellent chemistry, amazing characters, I love how the author always makes you feel like you know the characters, you feel their love and pain, you feel what they're feeling. I'm always excited to read anything by this author

I adore everything from Lauren Layne, and this second installment in the 21 Wall Street series is no different. I was so excited for this enemies to lovers romance mainly because I knew it would have the fake relationship trope! I loved Matt when he was introduced in book one and was intrigued by Sabrina and her hate/love relationship with Matt. These two made for some steam, as whenever the two are in the same room, chemistry flies off them. I'm falling more in love with the series with each release and I can't WAIT to read Kennedy's book!

Just reading the description convinced me I'd hate Matt, the book's H. He seemed like such a douche. But low and behold Layne does it again, making characters who seem way too perfect and entitled to be likeable and somehow making me identify with them and root for them. Sabrina was the perfect foil for Matt, and by the end I was rooting for them as always when I read a Layne story.

Another good book that’s been sitting in my kindle for a while. The best thing about being quarantined is that I get to read all the book I haven’t yet! I believe that this is my first book from the author and a pretty good one for introductions!

Matt is your typical playboy: rich, cocky and very sure of himself. After a weekend that blackens his reputation, he’s in need of an image change. That’s where Sabrina comes. A famous fixer, she’s the only one who can save his reputation. The catch is that she hates his guts! Can a fake relationship between them really work??

The story is really enjoyable. There were times that I laughed and others where I felt the tension between them. Matt and Sabrina’s electricity is palpable, and their passion might not be fuel by hate only…! These two are both so wrong and right for each other. The ending may be predictable, however the overall plot until then is very good!

This book was amazing, and I thoroughly enjoyed the explosive chemistry between Matt and Sabrina during their crazy adventure together. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy a bit naughtiness and fun with this fake relationship and enemies-to-lovers romance.

I definitely look forward to reading more by Lauren Layne!

ARC received for review

Sabrina and Matt have been sniping at each other for years, plus hooking up occasionally. Matt makes a huge blunder and needs Sabrina's help to clean up his image. Their sniping and arguing got old, but in the end true love wins.

Friends Kate and Kennedy are up next, but can we have another book with Jarod.

LL has an amazing ability to make me love a book while also eager to find out what the end story is for the next couple. We’re introduced to Matt and Sabrina in Hot Asset where they were always bickering whenever together. You could feel how much they despised one another so I couldn’t wait to read their story to find out why.

I enjoyed this one a lot. I loved the get togethers’ with their friends throughout but it didn’t overshadow them and their relationship. I loved their bickering and how steamy they were together. It was good to finally find out what their hatred towards one another was about. Sabrina, as independent as she was, was great and very likable. A bit of sadness when things got serious, but it didn’t damper the mood one bit. Whenever I had to put this down, I always looked forwarded to getting back to it.

Another awesome rom-com from LL. Can’t wait to read Kate and Ian’s story now, their differing personalities should make for a very good read.

its said that there is so much tension between these two that when they are together they either need to fight or have sex but I just didn't feel it. It was still a pretty good book I was just expecting more.

Second series of 21 Wall Street.
Matt Cannon, boy Wonder, phenom from Wolfe Investment is in deep trouble. His actives at his cousin's bachelor party in Vegas lands on WSJ and his bosses are not happy. They gave him an ultimatum to fix his image or he will be out.
Matt need to fix his situation and he knew who he has to call, Sabrina Cross, his best buddy Ian's (1st book) best friend. She is PR genius who will fix any problems at a cost. When Matt calls her to fix his image, she didn't think much of it until it really required her to be his fake girlfriend.
Matt and Sabrina constantly argued yet they were each others occasional booty calls. Now they have to play nice so people will buy they were in are in a relationship. Both were both cynics and they didn't believe in relationships. They had their own issues with family and they don't have positive view on relationship and marriage.
Everything seems going their way until their view changes. Ian, Kennedy and whole gang sees Matt and Sabrina's relationship but they themselves can't figure out what they are.
Now things are getting muddier than before and his dream client is ready to sign if he could let Sabrina take him instead of Matt. What will he risk his love or dream?
It was great story and I finished in couple days. I love the chemistry between everyone. Matt and Sabrina's banters were great and I can't wait to read about Kate and Kennedy.
Thanks to Netgalley and Montlake publishing for ARC for exchange for honest review.

I loved it. I’m an Italian reader and I’d really wish more LL’s bookshop were translated for Italian public. She never fails to thrill you and let you fall in love with her characters. Matt and Sabrina are no different. A story that’s as vibrant and bubbly as a glass of champagne, set in the amazing and stylish scenery of New York City.
