Camden Thursday and Everly Knight are both after the same thing - a hot car wanted by both the government and the mob. Everly needs the car to finance her dream of having a legal garage without the mob influence of her father. Cam is working for Norse Security and wants to prove that he can do more than just manipulate computer code. Cam now has to work with his high school crush to make sure the car gets into the right hands and they stay alive. It took a little bit to get into the action. Too much time wasted on backstory and yadda yadda. When the action picked up, it zoomed! Everly was the bad girl that didn't want to be a bad girl. Great characters and a great start to a new series. I received a complimentary ARC from NetGalley and the publisher. Thank you! |

Cams high school crush, Everly is caught under the hood of a stolen car he was sent in to retrieve. As his security companies tech man, the ex-SEALs chance to prove himself valuable as muscle in the field goes awry. Everyls trying to get out from behind the Mob and her father's shady dealings. Selling this stolen car off will bank her escape to starting her own garage. The two flee the mob trying to lie low until the car can be returned to the security company for the government. While in hiding, they fall in to bed and realize they mean more to each other. They've just got to get through a sting in order to bring down the cars buyer before they can attempt their own HEA. It wasn't bad, it felt rushed, but I liked the characters. I liked Cams brain behind his brawn and Everyls wit. More characters and character development would be nice, but it was a good quick read. |

Ex-SEAL Camden Thursday is trying to prove to his company that he can do more than be a computer geek by jacking a very expensive car and returning it to Norse Security. But he is in for a surprise when he enters the garage and finds his high school crush under the hood of the car attempting to steal it. Everly Knight is the daughter of a mobster and trying to do all she can to get away from that life and open her own "legit" garage. Both Camden and Everly have their own reasons for wanting that car. But they are both surprised when thugs show up and they realize there is more to the car than they thought. Now they are on a race against time and the building attraction between them. |
I will start off most of the time I am Yelling at the female lead in a story this time I was yelling at the male lead ALOT! The plot was very similar to others of Leslie North and this readers was hoping for sometimes new. I guess I got it with Camden Thursday who wanted to prove himself is more than a nerd. Honestly he was lacking everything and became very uninteresting within the first 5 chapters. Where all they did was drive and run and drive and hide and drive and hide some more with sexual tension. The story wasn't over graphic but than again I am not sure where that line is most of the time with Romance\Suspense\ Mystery novels anymore. The plot moves along and at times became interesting enough for to finish the story. Its not the best for the first in a series but there are no spelling or grammar error that stood out. Just scenes that were not really needed. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher Relay Publishing for the advance copy of Leslie North Ride with the Seal. |

Cute story, it felt a little bit rushed though, the action was fast and furious leaving very little time for the characters to develop. Otherwise very enjoyable. |
A great start to a new series by Leslie North! I loved this book. Full of action, romance, suspense. I was hooked right from the start. Can’t wait to read more in this series. |
This is the first book in the #NorseSecurity series by Leslie North. It's quite a promising start if I may say so, I loved the bantering between Cam and Everly and the fact that she could always surprise him was okay. However, I'd say that I wasn't completely consumed by the book as I've been by most of her books, and maybe it's got to do with the pace and the suspense that had me wondering what both Cam and Everly were running away from. I requested to read this book off NetGalley because I love reading Leslie North's books and always await the sizzling heat and chemistry between her lead characters. If you're into romance, then give this a shot, and your view may be the complete opposite of mine. |
Leslie North’s first book in her brand new series, Ride with the SEAL is everything you would expect from an action romance. The story has danger, intrigue, action and some steamy romance too, so be ready to dig in deep when you start this book The plot is different from North’s previous books, which is not necessarily a bad thing, and the characters are nicely developed and easy to like. Nice story that is not that different in the plot from others. The characters are well described and likeable. It has drama, action, steam and passion in it. A quick, easy read best describes this book, so I hope you enjoy! |
**I received a copy of Ride with the SEAL from Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review** Ride with the SEAL by Leslie North is the first in her Norse Security series. I've read the author before and wasn't disappointed by Ride with the SEAL. It's well worth the four star rating that I and other readers have given this book. Camden Thursday a former Navy SEAL is very comfortable behind his computers and tech at Norse Security but he decided he wanted to prove to his bosses that he could work this Aeon Turbo G90 case. But little did he know that someone else would be in the garage also trying to steal the car. Everly Knight wants badly to open her own garage that isn't controlled by the Mob like her Dad is. Between Cam and Everly they steal the car and go on the run from not only the mob but her sketchy buyer who wants the car for what is found in the trunk. Can the Geek and the Lady Grease Monkey escape two shady gangs, appease Loki who's Camden's boss and keep their hands off each other on a cross country trek? Everly Knight loves all engines and loves restoring them even better but her heart is set on setting up her own garage that isn't controlled by the local Mob like her Dad's. The money the Aeon Turbo G90 will set her up for a year until she gets established. But first she has to deal with her "buyer" and being on the run with a Geek who's an ex-SEAL who she'd love to take for a ride in more ways than one. |
I have mixed feelings on this book. I enyoed the fun banter between the two main characters, the theill of their ride together and their blossoming affection for each other. But these things fell into place quietly, without any strong impact. I was left feeling that I wanted to feel more of something for the time I spent reading the book. There wasn’t enough interaction between the other members of the Norse Security team to make me want to purchase more books in the series. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for this honest review. |
North puts out many series books that include romance. Everly and Cam team to out run the mob over a high tech car. Characters and plot were dry and uninteresting. "A copy of this book was supplied by Relay Publishing via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion." |

Ride With the Seal, left me guessing the whole time. Who could they trust, even each other. There was a lot of sexual tension between Cam and Everly to work through. I loved it! |

Camden Thursday does not only steal cars, he only manipulates computer code as a Hacker. It was not totally understandable for me why en ex-SEAL should do this. Unfortunately it seemingly only gets worse when he meets Everly Knight, the 'baddest girl in town' with the dark secrets. The tough girl gives the ex-SEAL one last chance to go on leading to an adventure for both of them. I had a baddass good time with this book even though it gives a lot about the secret fantasies of Ms. Leslie North. ;o) But that is okay as the story is well written, somewhat erotic (you have to like that) and is kind of outside the ordinary. Feels a little bit like 'the fast and the furious' but with a nice couple. Cant say the same for the cover though but still a recommendable story for the weekend. Good entertainment! |
3.5 stars This was a quick read with likeable characters and no angst. There wasn't a lot of information about the company, Norse Security, or it's employees which seems a little odd for the first book in a series. But it was better than what often happens with the first book when way too much info is included. I'm looking forward to reading the subsequent books. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my copy. |
