Many thanks to both NetGalley and to Canelo for letting me see an advance reader's copy of Dreaming of Christmas.

Last Christmas, after ten years together, Zoe's boyfriend's gift to her was to dump her on Christmas Eve and go and shack up with another woman. On top of that, Zoe also loses her job and has to take the first one that comes along on a tacky celebrity magazine.

She hasn't had the best of years. She hates the new job and can't seem to do anything right as far as her boss is concerned, and she's struggling to get over the heartbreak of losing her man.

Step in her old friend Billy, who invites all of his former housemates from their last year at university, including Zoe, to an all-expenses-paid skiing holiday in the beautiful Austrian Alps for Christmas. Zoe should be looking forward to seeing all of her old friends, but Grant and his new girlfriend will be there as well and she's dreading that particular reunion.

This story follows Zoe as she prepares herself for her greatest challenge yet, even though she doesn't know if she's actually going to go through with it.

No spoilers, but I loved this book. I thought the characters were great, although they all behaved exactly as I expected them to, which means I sussed the ending way before anyone else seemed to. But that was okay. I really enjoyed it and read it in only a few sittings.

A delight to read.

Five stars.

I love T.A. Williams' "travel romance" books and this was another winner for me. The book opens with Zoë being dumped by her boyfriend of ten years on Christmas Eve. We then fast forward one year to Zoë and a group of her university friends being invited to a lavish hotel for an all expense paid holiday in Austria. Everyone in the group had lived in a house together and one of the group, Billy, is now a multi-millionaire. He invites them all for a reunion. The only problem is that Grant, her ex is probably going to be there. But her best friend Jules persuades her to take the plunge, after all it's an all expense paid vacation to a gorgeous ski location in Austria. What more could you want at Christmas. The other problem is that Zoë is working for a not very reputable newspaper and her boss wants her to get an interview with the elusive Mr Billy Fischer. Knowing her boss, he wants dirt. Can Zoë risk her friendship and the privacy of her friend, or will she let her career and the idea of promotion take over? What will happen when Zoë and Grant meet up again for the first time in a year?

Dreaming of Christmas is a beautiful story about friendship, relationships, second chances, finding oneself, secrets, fun, humour, wit and drama. The cast of characters is diverse with everyone having a problem or some issues. I liked Zoë and was thrilled to see her stand up for herself on more than one occasion. Billy, the person responsible for the reunion is another great character. He was a geek in university, so the others didn't know him as well as they liked, but he remembered them. He was still a bit quiet but over the story, he and Zoë talk a lot and we get to know what a great guy he is. There are a few things that happened that didn't surprise me at all, but I don't want to spoil the story for anyone so won't say what they were. I loved the descriptions of the various activities at the resort and the Christmas activities in the town. I will tell you there is a happily ever after, but you will need to read the story to find out who gets it. All the characters have some growth and sort out some things in their lives, so it is a winning trip for all who attend. I definitely recommend this book to those who enjoy romance, armchair travel and Christmas stories.

An odd little book. Totally unbelievable premise and the whole story was built upon that. Finished it and liked portions of it but as a whole it didn’t quite gel.

A very enjoyable Christmas read in a perfect setting. I’ve read several books by TA Williams and this is probably my favourite. Perfect to curl up with on a cold winter day!

Unfortunately I was unable to get in to this story and had to put it down, however, I'm sure it is a highly loved book and appreciated by the right readers.

I absolutely loved this book – it is my perfect type of feel-good story. We are introduced to the character of Zoe straight away in the storyline. Zoe has just had her heart broken by her (now ex) partner Grant. Grant ends their relationship on Christmas Eve, telling Zoe he has met someone else. It takes Zoe a long time to get over Grant, but just as she feels she is moving on with her life, a surprise invitation could possibly bring her crashing back down again.

Zoe, has been invited, along with several other friends who had shared the same house whilst studying, to an all-expenses paid holiday over the festive period by one of the friends, Billy. Billy has built up a very successful business, and Zoe thinks she would be mad to turn down the all-expenses paid trip, except for one slight problem – her ex, Grant will also be on the trip, oh, and her demanding boss has told her to get an exclusive interview with Billy for the magazine they work for!

I really enjoyed this story, I loved all the characters and getting to know each of them. I especially loved the character of Zoe and following her journey through the story. Dreaming of Christmas is such a heart-warming and light-herted read, and totally perfect for this time of the year – a well-deserved 5 out of 5 from me.

A perfect read for Christmas - but any time really as it's now Spring and it was as enjoyable. I think I'll make a mental note to read it prior to next Christmas to get me in the mood as one does. Friends gather in Austria in a ski resort for their University reunion. It's a story of love, relationships and secrets. I enjoyed it very much with sharply defined characters with real problems. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers.

I am no skier, but Williams makes Christmas in the Alps sound so appealing! With his descriptions, I was transported to Austria and its beautiful landscape. I enjoyed spening time with Zoe and her friends as they saw the sights, ate the wonderful food and made the most of theidr luxurious surroundings. It really helped me to get into the Christmas spirit.
In Dreaming Of Christmas, Williams has created some wonderful characters. The protagonist, Zoe, seemed like someone who could easily be my friend and I loved the way she looked after everyone. I really wanted her to find happiness at the end of the novel. Although the main characters lived together at university, they are all very different, and of course, have (mostly) grown up and changed with the passage of time. I felt that Williams captured their personalities and the way in which they have grown really well and I enjoyed reading about them. I must also mention little Bella, who is the most adorable child and I could easily see why Zoe fell in love with her.
At university, Zoe took on the role of the group agony aunt and she reassumes this position ten years on. This allows Williams to explore a few deeper issues, such as sexuality, fidelity and wealth, which gave me lots of things to think about as the novel progressed.
There are a few little twists in this novel, which ensured that the storyline kept me intrigued until the end.

I loved this book! College roommates are reuniting in a beautiful town in the Swiss alps for Christmas. Zoe nervously decided to attend even though her ex-boyfriend will be there. He broke her heart when he broke up with her on Christmas Eve last year. Each friend has a problem and Zoe finds herself back in the couselor role she often held in college. Zoe discovers that everything is not as it seems during her conversations with her friends. She uses her common sense and loving nature to guide each friend towards something wonderful. The beautiful ski town made me want to see more of the world and the cast of characters made me want to plan a reunion with my college roommates ASAP.

This book right here was really great Christmas read so I would like to recommend it to everyone that wants to read some nice book while being cozy and warm with a cup of tea in the hand (or coffee if that’s what you prefer).
In this book we follow Zoë’s journey to finding herself again after she’s been left by her husband on Christmas. She is invited by her university friend on a skiing trip to Austria and what can be better than a reunion with your old friends? Well, how about your ex being one of those friends and wanting to get you back? That’s exactly what happens in this book.

Can I go to the Austrian alps for Christmas? Dreaming of Christmas is beautifully rendered in this setting. The story varies from the typical, but it's in a good way. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It's engaging and warm. I recommend!

Can I give this book more than 5 stars? I wish I read it earlier in the season. Not just because of the Christmas background but I would have read it sooner. The lovely background of the Austrian alps, the description of the scenery including the food, but the authors prose was on target. The storyline of each character was throughly described. No spoil alert but...you will love this book.
