An odd little book. Totally unbelievable premise and the whole story was built upon that. Finished it and liked portions of it but as a whole it didn’t quite gel. |
A very enjoyable Christmas read in a perfect setting. I’ve read several books by TA Williams and this is probably my favourite. Perfect to curl up with on a cold winter day! |
Unfortunately I was unable to get in to this story and had to put it down, however, I'm sure it is a highly loved book and appreciated by the right readers. |
A wonderful read with charming characters and an engaging plot!! I look forward to reading more by this author. |
I absolutely loved this book – it is my perfect type of feel-good story. We are introduced to the character of Zoe straight away in the storyline. Zoe has just had her heart broken by her (now ex) partner Grant. Grant ends their relationship on Christmas Eve, telling Zoe he has met someone else. It takes Zoe a long time to get over Grant, but just as she feels she is moving on with her life, a surprise invitation could possibly bring her crashing back down again. Zoe, has been invited, along with several other friends who had shared the same house whilst studying, to an all-expenses paid holiday over the festive period by one of the friends, Billy. Billy has built up a very successful business, and Zoe thinks she would be mad to turn down the all-expenses paid trip, except for one slight problem – her ex, Grant will also be on the trip, oh, and her demanding boss has told her to get an exclusive interview with Billy for the magazine they work for! I really enjoyed this story, I loved all the characters and getting to know each of them. I especially loved the character of Zoe and following her journey through the story. Dreaming of Christmas is such a heart-warming and light-herted read, and totally perfect for this time of the year – a well-deserved 5 out of 5 from me. |
A magical Christmas read that will really get you in the mood for the festivities! A group of old friends get together in the Austrian alps for a reunion and sparks fly. I loved the descriptions of the setting and found the characters very relatable. |
As usual Trevor had written a lovely lovely story. I enjoyed the background to the group, their history together, and what you could see was happening in the group. The area sounded lovely and the hotel sounded amazing! An easy to read quick book, perfect to read at Christmas time. |
This book is such a cute story that combines Christmas and snow and the perfect setting for a wholesome and heartwarming Christmas story. This was a really nice read for the holiday season. I especially loved the setting and how important it is to this story; it makes it feel so cozy and perfect! |
A fantastic, cosy Christmas read and another treasure in T A Williams collection. I have loved all of his books and this is no exception. |
Lovely festive feel good read. Enjoyed it very much. This is one to curl up in front of the fire with in the winter. Flowed well. Was easy to read and thoroughly enjoyable |
A perfect read for Christmas - but any time really as it's now Spring and it was as enjoyable. I think I'll make a mental note to read it prior to next Christmas to get me in the mood as one does. Friends gather in Austria in a ski resort for their University reunion. It's a story of love, relationships and secrets. I enjoyed it very much with sharply defined characters with real problems. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers. |

I am no skier, but Williams makes Christmas in the Alps sound so appealing! With his descriptions, I was transported to Austria and its beautiful landscape. I enjoyed spening time with Zoe and her friends as they saw the sights, ate the wonderful food and made the most of theidr luxurious surroundings. It really helped me to get into the Christmas spirit. In Dreaming Of Christmas, Williams has created some wonderful characters. The protagonist, Zoe, seemed like someone who could easily be my friend and I loved the way she looked after everyone. I really wanted her to find happiness at the end of the novel. Although the main characters lived together at university, they are all very different, and of course, have (mostly) grown up and changed with the passage of time. I felt that Williams captured their personalities and the way in which they have grown really well and I enjoyed reading about them. I must also mention little Bella, who is the most adorable child and I could easily see why Zoe fell in love with her. At university, Zoe took on the role of the group agony aunt and she reassumes this position ten years on. This allows Williams to explore a few deeper issues, such as sexuality, fidelity and wealth, which gave me lots of things to think about as the novel progressed. There are a few little twists in this novel, which ensured that the storyline kept me intrigued until the end. |

I loved this book! College roommates are reuniting in a beautiful town in the Swiss alps for Christmas. Zoe nervously decided to attend even though her ex-boyfriend will be there. He broke her heart when he broke up with her on Christmas Eve last year. Each friend has a problem and Zoe finds herself back in the couselor role she often held in college. Zoe discovers that everything is not as it seems during her conversations with her friends. She uses her common sense and loving nature to guide each friend towards something wonderful. The beautiful ski town made me want to see more of the world and the cast of characters made me want to plan a reunion with my college roommates ASAP. |
This book right here was really great Christmas read so I would like to recommend it to everyone that wants to read some nice book while being cozy and warm with a cup of tea in the hand (or coffee if that’s what you prefer). In this book we follow Zoë’s journey to finding herself again after she’s been left by her husband on Christmas. She is invited by her university friend on a skiing trip to Austria and what can be better than a reunion with your old friends? Well, how about your ex being one of those friends and wanting to get you back? That’s exactly what happens in this book. |
Can I go to the Austrian alps for Christmas? Dreaming of Christmas is beautifully rendered in this setting. The story varies from the typical, but it's in a good way. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It's engaging and warm. I recommend! |

I’ve said this before, but one of the slight downsides of being a book blogger who hosts tours is that as lovely as some of the books are, you do find yourself reading them at strange times! So basically I have been reading a Christmas book for the past few days. And it’s NOVEMBER. I’m so happy that no-one could see the cover because they might have thought I was a little bit eccentric. I mean, I am. But not the point. Despite this, I really enjoyed this and it made me very excited for the next couple of months! I have used the word “cosy” a lot in recent blogposts and this one fits that description well too. I can just imagine reading this next to a fire with a hot chocolate and feeling pure bliss. The characters are very well thought out and are quite complex, despite the premise of the story being relatively simple. The descriptions are very vivid but don’t ramble too much and I absolutely felt like I was there with the characters. I think that I will be reading this again when Christmas is in full swing to get the full effect of the atmosphere but to be totally honest, the descriptions were so good I thought it actually was Christmas! I definitely want to read more from this author. |
Can I give this book more than 5 stars? I wish I read it earlier in the season. Not just because of the Christmas background but I would have read it sooner. The lovely background of the Austrian alps, the description of the scenery including the food, but the authors prose was on target. The storyline of each character was throughly described. No spoil alert but...you will love this book. |
5☆ Enchanting in every sense, it's Irresistibly Warm and Romantic, A Must Read! I adore T.A Williams books and when I see his latest book Dreaming of Christmas I just had to read it. Dreaming of Christmas Of A Heartwarming and cosy festive read, that can be read anytime. Just be warned give yourself plenty of time as once you indulge you won't want to put it down. This time round we meet Zoë. When Zoë gets an invite to an old Uni friends lavish 5☆ hotel for a meet up. She is very apprehensive about going, as her Ex boyfriend Grant is bound to be there and she's not sure whether she can face him yet. But her best friend Jules persuades her to take the plunge, after all it's an all expense paid for, in a gorgeous ski location in Austria. What more could you want at Christmas. There is only one snag, Zoë's boss has found out that her Uni friend happens to be the elusive Mr Billy Fischer, reclusive multi Millionaire and founder of WF Computers. He wants her to dish the dirt on Billy, by getting an exclusive interview in order to gain a promotion. Can Zoë risk her friendship and the privacy of her friend, or will she let her career and the idea of promotion take over? Will Zoë and Grant rekindle their love after 10years together or Will Zoë's heart belong to someone new? As always T.A Williams books wouldn't be complete without a gorgeous Fur Baby 🐶 and Arnie the adorable black Lab stole my heart with his loveable and cheeky ways. Dreaming of Christmas is a beautiful story about Friendship, relationships, second chances, finding oneself, secrets, fun, humour, wit and drama. What more could you want! William's has beautifully descriptive writing, which always enables the reader to fully immerse themselves into the heart of the story, which I love. He writes the most mesmerising and amazing stories, With beautifully relatable and observed characters that spring to life on the page. Dreaming of Christmas is Enchanting in every sense, it's irresistibly warm and Romantic, a real festive treat that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. The perfect read for lifting your spirits! Once again Williams has written another Gem of a Book I couldn't put down. T.A Williams is an incredibly talented Author and one of my favourite Authors. If you haven't yet had the pleasure of reading one of his books, I definitely recommend reading this Gorgeous Book! I would like to thank Netgalley & Canelo for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily. |
I somehow missed downloading this book but would still love to read and review it. I actually knew I had another Christmas book and just found it in the not downloaded category. Is it possible to resend?? |

It’s the dream Christmas: snow, mountains… and, er, an ex-boyfriend. But can Zoe still find love in the Alps? Dumped on Christmas Eve by her long-term boyfriend, it's been a rough year for Zoe Lumsley. But then she gets an invitation she can’t refuse: an all expenses paid skiing holiday with old university friends. The bad news: her ex, Grant, will be there with his new girlfriend. But so will her former flatmate Billy, the organiser, and in the meantime he’s done rather well for himself. As Christmas in the Alps approaches, it'll be great to see the old gang. Some more than others... This is a lovely romantic story which includes a couple of surprises that I wasn't expecting, but they just added to the charm of this book. 4.5* |
