I AM SO READY FOR THIS BOOK. I wish it was out now because I am already broken by this little snippet - this is going to be an amazing book I can tell. |
I've just read a sampler of this book and now December 4th can't come soon enough. I just want all of the characters to be okay and safe. I knew the beginning of the third book was going to be hard since we had that ending in the second one and I was so right. My heart is already breaking for the Blackthorns. I definitely can't wait to see how this wonderful series wraps up. |
Even though it's just a Snippet, I NEED more! Do I really have to wait to see everyone?! I'm really intrigued to see what's going to happen... and there's so much teasing of what's to come, I'm beyond excited! |

I thought this would help but it ended up adding fuel to the "I need this book now' fire. I can't wait to find out what happens in the rest of the book and if there will be answers to my many questions, however, knowing these books there will also be more questions. |
This sampler isn’t enough I can not wait to read this rest of this finale! Clare never disappoints |
Cassandra Clare is one of my all time favourite authors. She has a way of writing that just blows me away each and every time. The characters are familiar and relatable, and the plot has twists and turns that completely absorb you for hours. Book separation anxiety is a serious problem with Clare’s novels! I can’t wait for the full book to be released now!! |

My only problem with this is that it is only a SAMPLER! I need more of Emma and Julian not to mention Jem, Mark, Christina and Diego now. I loved this sampler and can not wait until Decemeber 4th when I can lock the doors, turn off my phone and delve into the whole book. |

Okay this one was a sampler and I'm very curious and excited about the book!I cannot wait to read it, I love this serie is probably my fave cassandra clare's trilogy |
I was sooooo excited to read the next installment of this series and now I'm more excited than ever! I'm looking forward to see how the story develops as I feel like this is Cassandra Clare's best series so far. Better than Clockwork Angel and the Mortal Instruments and certainly home to far superior characters. 5* |
I can’t tell you how much I’ve missed Julian, Emma and the gang! And a cameo from Jem? Yes please. This sampler reminded me of all the horrific happenings from the previous two books (and made me want to reread them RIGHT NOW!) and I just can’t wait to see where this story is going to end up. Cassandra Clare promised us this book would change the world of the shadow hunters as we know it, and the little clues sprinkled throughout this sampler are already making me suspicious! Jem, Tessa and Magnus all seem to be investigating some sort of disease or curse damaging Warlocks, whilst the Carstairs are talking about bringing Livia back from the dead. My emotions are just.....everywhere. I need this book now. And so do you! |
I loved every second it and I can’t wait to read the whole book!!! I honestly can’t get enough of these characters. |
I received a sampler of The Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to Netgalley, Simon & Schuster and Cassandra Clare. This was a short sampler chapter and as such will remain a short review. All I will say is that I am EVEN MORE excited about this book than I already was, which is hard going as I've been dying for this book for Nearly 2 years. Things are definitely heating up in this one, even in just one chapter a lot was revealed about where the plot will go this time. I'm definitely hoping to see more from the Fae, as well as seeing how the Blackthorn's will all deal with the different issues they have going on. The subjects Cassandra Clare touched on in the previous books in this series as well as in this sampler are paving the way for exciting things to come in the Shadowhunter world. I've a feeling this one is going to be a bit darker than what we've seen before, and I CANNOT wait! |
I did not like this sample, I gave up half way through, same with the sequel, I loved the first book in the series though |
It is no secret that The Dark Artifices has become my favorite fantasy trilogy of all time - yes, the third installment is still months away but I've never been more certain that Cassandra Clare will leave us heartbroken, intrigued, devastated, elevated and hopefully happy at the end of Queen of Air and Darkness. After the cliffhanger of Lord of Shadows, this first chapter has made me even more anxious to find out how it will all end. Without any spoilers, the first chapter has everything one could ask from a Cassandra Clare book, rapid development and the cast of characters many have come to love. I cannot wait for December!! |
Oh my goodness that was a teaser!! I knew it was just a sampler but I wasn't ready for it to end. After the emotional cliff hanger that the previous book ended on I have been dying for this one. Cassandra Clare hasn't disappointed once again and I am even more anxious to get the next book. December feels so far away.... I do love this series and I am looking forward to seeing how it all happens next. Bring it on!! Thank you Simon and Schuster for wetting my appetite that bit more!! |
For a first chapter, it does have a rapid rhythm; the last instalment of The Dark Artifices trilogy is one of my most anticipated new release, and it's such a pleasure to dive back into the Shadowhunter's universe, even for a few pages. Since Book II finished on a big cliffhanger (and with my heart broken), this first chapter deals a lot about the next characters' goals and paths. We get to see Ty, Kit, Julian, Emma and Kieran where we left them and we know where the story is going to be led; and it is going to be a fantastic book once more. |
With a fight having taken place in the Council Hall and death having taken place in what is one of the most sacred places to Shadowhunters, the Clave is close to a civil war. Livia Blackthorn is dead, and the family is trying to pick up its pieces. Part of the Blackthorn family heads back to the LA Institute, while Julian, Emma and Diana stay back and have to face interrogation. With the Council upon them and the danger of their forbidden parabatai love being exposed, the duo will take upon a new mission. Meanwhile, Ty has some very dangerous ideas about bringing his twin sister back to life. Cassandra Clare's writing never disappoints, and this is obvious even in the sample pages provided. The book picks up pace immediately, with a lot of interesting things happening at the same time. There were a lot of cliffhangers in the last book of the series, and the reader can't help but devour Queen of Air and Darkness, looking for answers. From what the Sampler shows us, this next book on The Dark Artifices series is not going to disappoint. In fact, this might yet be the best one! Queen of Air and Darkness is the third book of The Dark Artifices series, which is highly recommended to all lovers of the fantasy genre. I am looking forward to reading the whole book! |
