I am loving this series by Jennifer Probst., and A Brand New Ending is another fabulous addition. It's an emotional and sexy second-chance romance set in a small town. There is also a poignant storyline with about the hero's alcoholic father, which added depth and complexity to the story and made it memorable. Don't miss another winner from Jennifer Probst.

I fell in love with the Robin’s Nest B&B owner while reading the first book and after getting glimpses of Ophelia, I couldn’t wait for her story. I’m a sucker for second chance romances and I knew hers was going to be sweet, yet emotional as well. I absolutely loved Ophelia and Kyle’s story!

Ophelia was a bit frustrating at times when she wouldn’t listen to Kyle trying to explain himself, and some things that happened in the past. I understood why she was stubborn and didn’t want to listen and I ended up loving the angst when all was said and done.

Kyle is determined to win Ophelia back and it is far from an easy journey. He was oh so stupid when he was younger but finally smartened up by realizing the mistakes he’s made and that he needs to make it up for them.

I am so happy that we got to see more of Hei Hei, the best pet chicken on the planet! He had me giggling and wishing I had my own pet with the same hilarious quirks.

While I didn’t like this book quite as much as the first one, overall it was still very enjoyable.

I really hope that we get to see Harper’s story and HEA in the next book.

A Brand New Ending is a second chance romance about Ophelia Bishop, a B&B owner in rural New York, and Kyle Kimpton, a Hollywood screenwriter. They knew each other since they were young and fell in love one summer. After high school, they ditched their plans of college to go off to Hollywood together and realize their dreams of being a screenwriter and a signer. Kyle’s plans worked out for him, but Ophelia’s didn’t. She returned home to run the B&B.

Fast forward ten years after they left, and Kyle has returned home to find some inspiration to write a new genre of screenplay (romance) after feeling like writing basic action movies has sucked all of the creative energy out of him. He comes home to find the passion in his work again. And hopefully get Ophelia back.

I enjoyed Jennifer Probst’s writing. She has such a captivating writing style and knows how to write scenes that combine sexual tension and emotion into one beautiful package. I definitely plan on reading the first book about Ethan and Mia and I’m sure I’ll enjoy it.

Not going to lie, one of my favourite parts of the plot was the side story with Kyle and his father, Patrick. The Kyle and Ophelia aspect of the story was so obvious every step of the way, as is the way with a lot of second chance romances I find. However, the Kyle and Patrick aspect was constantly interesting to me. I wanted to know everything about their past and how they would end up in the end.

The pacing was good. Because it’s a second chance romance, the love is already there, so it’s not really insta-love. And with all the time that passed between when Ophelia and Kyle saw each other, it made sense to let her guard down as quick as she did. It’d be more alarming if she still had that kind of a grude after eight years.

Overall, I enjoyed A Brand New Ending. I thought it was a good second chance romance with beautiful writing. I would highly suggest picking this one up if second chance romances are your thing.

I really liked this book. I like how she realized what her dream actually was and how he didn't listen to her when he got caught up in his own dream. Second chances are a wonderful thing.

I'm a big fan of Ms. Probst work and A Brand New Ending did not disappoint. A very sweet, sexy second chance romance. Highly recommend.

Ok, so I have to admit, I adore anything Jennifer Probst writes. She’s got the perfect mix of sexy, sweet and emotional in every book and this book was no exception. I’m also a sucker for a second chance romance so this was ll that and a bag of chips in my book!

After a past packed with everything a first love can bring, Ophelia and Kyle end things…or so they think. Now, Kyle is back in the hometown they shared and staying in the inn Ophelia runs. Being in close quarters kept company by all the feelings they left unresolved is bound to leave them both wondering why they ever separated.

Both Ophelia and Tyler are wonderfully dynamic characters with personalities that are both opposite and the same in many ways. From the very first chapter I was dying to dive into the rekindling of their romance and it was just as delicious and amazing as I had hoped it would be. I devoured this book and am already looking forward to more from this amazing author.

I loved this second-chance love story of Ophelia and Kyle. Despite a misunderstanding that led to hurt on both sides and years of separation, life throws them another chance to rewrite their ending. The dual POVs show why each of them made the choices they did. The secondary characters certainly added to the story and are always a joy. These two made a great pair and their journey to a new ending was a fabulous read.

I happened upon one of Jennifer’s books while on vacation and now am an avid reader of all her wonderful books. She writes relatable stories with inspiring characters and always throws in some fun details or side stories to grab your interest.
In this book, the 2nd in the series (which can stand alone), two young high school sweethearts are introduced, and they run off to Hollywood to find success, fame, happiness and everything their small town couldn’t give them.
Fast forward and Ophelia finds she isn’t as happy as she thought and returns home to run her family’s B&B, leaving her only known love behind... Meanwhile, Kyle is a successful movie screenwriter but feels something is missing and returns home to find out what it is.
We follow their journey as their adult story unfolds and they both must face what drove them apart and decide together if they are still meant to be together.
I loved the complexity of Kyle and Ophelia’s story and Kyle delving into his past to figure out what his future should be, including the side story of his father’s quest for sobriety and forgiveness from his son for past wrongs.
A beautifully written story with several twists and turns that had me captivated from the first page. I couldn’t put this down and can’t wait for the next book in the series.

There has to be something because I didn't feel connected to the story or its characters. It's happening the same as the last time I have read an ARC - I've been reading it for ages. Or at least that's how long it feels to me.

Is it me? Am I not reading it at the appropriate time? I've never needed more than ten days to read a book. NEVER. And now it happened twice in a row. TWICE.

Do I need some time to get my reading mojo back or something? Or maybe I have just been reading books that are not my cup of tea?

Because let me tell you something. I've read Jennifer Probst's books before. I loved Marriage to a Billionaire series.

But this one...

I just don't know what's wrong. I read couple pages and then lose interest. And this has been happening for days now. Days. All other books look more appealing but I just can't bring myself to start more than one e-book at the time.

Or maybe it's the characters.

There was no romance. Nothing that could make me swoon. He was always working in his room and came out only to make love to her and to eat. Okay, twice they were together outside of b & b but otherwise nothing.

There were couple flashbacks - many of them unnecessary.

I think the author put too much effort into making side characters likable - which they were - Hei Hei, Harper, and others. But she forgot to make the main ones lovable. I felt almost no romance between them. No flirting. No making out outside b & b. It felt like all book revolved about what happened in the b&b. I got the glimpse of what I wanted in the ending but I already knew that I can't give more than 3 stars then.

Ophelia Bishop, aka Tink, was in love with her brother Ethan’s best friend, Kyle Kimpton. Kyle had a rough time growing up in rural New York; his mother died while giving birth to him and his father, Patrick resented the fact that she chose her son's life over her own. However, the more significant issue was Patrick's alcoholism. Kyle always dreamed he would be a famous screenwriter in Hollywood and while he chased his dream, he thought Ophelia would pursue her dream of becoming a singer. The lovestruck teenagers take off to live their dreams in California, only one of them returns to New York to run the family's Bed and Breakfast.

After ten years Kyle Kimpton needs to write his next story back at the place where it all started his hometown, so he calls his best friend, Ethan Bishop who gives him the all clear to come back home and stay at the Inn. There's no place like home, but you can never go back there again, to the way things were. Things change, people change, and sometimes you get what you need, not what you want. A second chance at happiness, at the life they only dreamed of when they were teenagers, but will it be? Can you go back?

This second chance story with a twist had me reflecting on the second chances and how
I viewed the ending of a relationship va the other people involved. I loved that they both stood their ground and won in their own way. Such a feel good story!

Holy emotional series, Batman! First Jennifer brings us a fantastic introduction to her the Stay series with The Start of Something Good. Now she sucks us in with an emotional second chance romance in A Brand New Ending. Oh, the feels!

A Brand New Ending is the story of Kyle Kimpton and Ophelia Bishop. Kyle and Ophelia were teenage sweethearts who decided to follow their hearts and pursue their dreams. They left home to elope and start a new life in Hollywood. Kyle had dreams of being a big name screenwriter and Ophelia wanted to be a singer. Or so they thought. As Kyle's dreams started to come to fruition, Ophelia realized that her's had changed. Now wanting different things, a rift began to form between them until Ophelia returned home nursing a broken heart.

Their story of young love gone awry was heartbreaking. Readers get their past in a very clever flashback idea. It managed to give readers the full story from both sides. It also helped Kyle understand why Ophelia left. It's a very emotional story of how they grew apart.

By the end of the book, I was 100% head over heels for both characters. It was a bit of a rocky journey for Kyle though. There were a couple times where he wasn't my favorite character. He definitely had the best transformation and I loved how determined he was to win back Ophelia. There were just a few moments when I wanted him to back off a bit and give her space.

On the other side, I loved Ophelia from the get-go. Even from meeting her in the previous book, I knew she was going to be a great heroine. She's strong, loving, and can hold her own when need be. She's an incredibly caring soul that sees the best in people, even when they don't necessarily deserve it. I loved that about her.

Overall, I loved A Brand New Beginning. I'm loving the Bishop family and their entourage. Harper Bishop is a bit of an enigma, so of course I can't wait until we learn more about her in the next book in the series. Hopefully the wait isn't too long.

This is the second book in the series, and it features Ophelia and what happened between her and the guy she ran off with 10 years ago. Kyle her boyfriend and writer, had always wanted to go to Hollywood and become a screen writer. So when her brother took off to boot camp Ophelia and Kyle went west to Hollywood. They never told anyone that on the way there that they stopped in Vegas and got married. After two years there Ophelia came home and took over the B&B making it her own and really not looking back. It has been ten years and who shows up at the place but Kyle and she for one is not happy to see him at first. Giving in to his plea she lets him stay in a room upstairs and he begins his writing. When he can’t write the screen play he was working on he decides to write about their story. This is where you first begin to see how they ended up in Hollywood and her eventually leaving from his memories, or his side. After she gets mad at him for saying he forgives for leaving he decides to write the story from her side and begins to see a totally different side. Ophelia still likes Kyle but you can see the growth in her by her helping his father which he does not understand, for one and when he decides to go back to Hollywood for a meeting. She has already come to terms that she will never see him again, that he will become the same man she left years ago. You must read the story to see if he changes at all. I don’t know if in real life a women would just take in the guy she was in love with from ten years ago without any courting. You still have the same characters from the first book which is good, and overall the writing is good and this is just a good story.

A second chance story about 2 childhood sweethearts who leave their small-town after high school for the bright lights of LA and success. They're in love, they get married, and they're so young its crazy but they're going to make it together. Life changes rapidly for them once they get to LA and success (or trying to succeed) pulls them apart. The flashbacks that are interwoven through the story didn't make me blame one over the other. I blame immaturity and trying to find yourself - there's selfishness, selflessness, and everything in between.

Ophelia and Kyle reconnect when Kyle comes home to find his writing muse and reconnect with Ophelia. At first I'm not a fan of Kyle because I felt like it was more about his writing than about him and Ophelia. Slowly their healing relationship and his writing about their relationship become one. Even though they've known each other forever, it's a slow burn story with 2 likable MCs trying to figure out where they came from and how they come together now.

Maybe the story dragged a little here and there and the two MCs didn't immediately engage me but overall a nice read.

This book was so much more than a second chance romance. It showed some of the pitfalls of young love. It also showed how two people can experience the same events two completely different ways. Kyle has to really listen and understand what Ophelia went through in order for them to heal. Their story was emotionally gripping and it felt like I was ripped apart and then put back together in a much stronger way. I highly recommend this book and am hoping Harper gets her story next.

A good, emotional second chance story. It has lots of depth and great characters. I haven't read the first story, but I need to and I certainly want to read the next one.

A Brand New Ending is the second book in the Stay series by Jennifer Probst. I've reviewed her before on the blog so it's no secret that I love her and everything she writes. As expected, I loved this one too. While this is a series, I think the books can standalone as she will give some background info on who the supporting characters are but most of the focus is on the main couple. Book Two focuses on Kyle and Ophelia. Kyle is Ethan's best friend (Ethan and Mia were book one) and Ophelia is his sister.

The love story of Kyle and Ophelia was lovely. They ran off to California together as teenagers and then all of a sudden, Ophelia came back alone and mad. For over 10 years no one knew why, including Kyle. That story gets its resolution along with some very lovely romantic scenes.

Interestingly enough, it was the b-story of Kyle's alcoholic father that really made the book for me. I found this plot to be realistic, heartbreaking and then heartwarming all at the same time. I love a good redemption story and I really liked that it was with a supporting character that then had an influence on the main character. It was very well done.

All in all, the book lived up to my Probst love. It had everything I want in a romance and then a surprise sub-plot to really push its way from 3 stars to 4. And Harper's story is next and I am ready!!!

My first time as a Probst-er and I can easily admit that it’s gonna be forever! There is no other alternative. I got hooked all the way to her writing. I had to read it twice before I was ready to lay down my words for this amazing love story.

From the very first word I was captured into a world and a story that in the end not only blew me away but left me in tears. Happy & sad mixed up. I couldn’t take my eyes off my screen even for a second. I got horizondal on my bed and devoured Kyle & Ophelia’s love story in one sitting. Their connection, past and intense love that was still breathing between them no matter what had separated them 10 years ago, were only a few of the things that made me shut off everything around me and focus on them. Focus on their fight for a second chance in happiness.

Let me start first with how awesome the names of the characters are. I loved Ophelia’s name so damn much. It gave me Shakespeare vibes and combined with her spark, it added so much depth to her already great personality. As for Kyle, I always loved that name since it kind of gives me superhero feels. Crazy, I know. But then again, those attributes may match these two lovers to a degree.

Their journey was just magic to me. I loved how passion, determination and fire their present has and how ambition, evolution, pain their past had. Although, the unconditional, real, deep love they shared was what made them fight for their HEA and fight the obstacles their different worlds presented to them.

I have so many thoughts in my head that I want to get out and they scream all at me for dominance at the same time. The one that seems to be the loudest of them all is how, through those two lover’s story, Probst proved that beautiful saying “in the end, the little things matter in life”. It doesn’t take much for someone to be happy. All it takes is a person that you truly love and who truly loves you back, a place that you can call home and people that support you and love you with no conditions.

Ten years ago they ran away together to Hollywood to chase their dreams. The same dreams that kept them apart for eight long years. Ophelia’s dream didn’t work out but Kyle’s did. So she came back home without so much as a goodbye and started running her mother’s B&B. And now he’s back, asking for a second chance.

So this is the kind of second chance romance that you can’t just not love. Believe me, you can try your hardest, you won’t dislike A Brand New Ending.

I loved Kyle. Like, big time. I mean, how can you not love a man that is writing a book about his love that he lost and wants back? You can’t! Besides that, he’s kind of a man that always says the sweetest things. It’s like every time he’s talking he’s writing a book. He’s really charming and sexy and most of all caring. He always wanted to be a writer and he worked hard towards his dream and now he’s really successful.

Ophelia is more of a hometown girl. Even though at the time they ran away she wanted to be a singer, her life back in Hollywood was not a good experience so she lost the desire to be a famous singer. At the time Kyle was not really supporting her since his life in Hollywood was great, and so she came back home to run her mom’s B&B and now she’s really happy doing that. The only missing part to a puzzle of happiness is Kyle, the only man she ever really loved.

Their current situation is pretty much him groveling hard, trying to get on her good side. So just imagine, both living under the same roof for a few months. She thinks they won’t even see each other living at the B&B but we all know that’s not true.

Fun, emotional and sweet – all the things a second-chance romance needs. This is a perfect winter read. Highly recommend it!
