I enjoyed Nova and Gage's love story, especially the epilogue. Hunting Danger was action-packed and had the perfect mix of suspense and romance. I look forward to the next book in the Redemption Harbor series. I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary Advance Reader Copy from NetGalley. |
Hunting Danger was another great entry to redemption harbor series. This was the story of Gage and Nova. As always Reus throws all the right ingredients into the bowl and cooks up a storm as Nova heads off to help out her best friend, Layla and soon discovers Gage has invited himself along for the ride. We have a little of the forbidden going on with this one as well with Gage seeing himself as Nova’s boss, he feels it’s unprofessional to start anything up with her, especially as he knows he would be in it for keeps, and can’t be 100% sure whether Nova feels the same way. Another rip-roaring adventure, non-stop action, thrill and spills aplenty, and as always a stellar romance, which oozes chemistry between the leads. I cannot wait to return to Redemption Harbor for the sixth book; Covert Games due for release in January 2019. |

I just love a story where the man is the one falling, where he is protective (in a manly, non-irritating way :) of course). And I got a story that I love. This is filled with action and sweetness, danger and heat. Katie Reus wrote a quick-paced novel that plunges the reader right into the action. Gage and Nova are engaging characters that the reader will like. Nova is clever without being obnoxious. Gage is the boss without being obnoxious. Together they make a perfect pair. If you had to read this without reading the others in the series, you'd make it ok. However, to enjoy this book to the fullest, please read the other books. There are tidbits that drop as well as big characters that you'd be better off reading in order. Plus, getting to know the characters before they get their own novel adds to the enjoyment. |
Hunting Danger (Redemption Harbor, #5) by Katie Reus is a romantic suspense that can be read as a stand alone. The anticipation leading up to these two characters was so worth it! Gage and Nova explode off the pages with action and adventure in a thrilling romance. This author always writes a fantastic romantic suspense that checks off all the categories for me. I recommend this book as well as any of the Redemption Harbor Series. |

Fast paced with suspense, action and romance in a perfect blend is a true description of Hunting Danger by Katie Reus. No longer able to avoid their attraction, Nova and Gage still manage to have a pull and push relationship for much of the story. This made their relationship realistic and true when both make up their minds. I loved the epilogue, which is so wonderful especially since Gage has trouble expressing his emotions according to Nova. The danger comes from a friendship problem instead of through their work at Redemption Harbor Consulting. It is no less dangerous, with other unforeseen forces causing problems too. There are enough twists in the story to keep it interesting with the “hillbilly” danger being one that I would have liked to have been expanded. As for Nova’s and Gage’s romance, it is one of my favorites in the series; building in a satisfying way between the two. Hunting Danger is number 5 in the series but reads well as a stand-alone. Fans of romantic suspense will enjoy the series but will especially enjoy Hunting Danger where friendship takes precedence. |
I know if I want an intense, wild, suspenseful ride with a sexy romance thrown in I just have to look toward Katie Reus and I’ll find it. Whenever I pick up one of her books I find myself on the edge of my seat unable to put the book down. Hunting Danger is no exception. The Redemption Harbor series is my favorite of her series. The characters are easy to connect to, to fall for and she sets things up to have you begging for the book of a beloved character long before she plans on writing it. I’ve been wanting more Gage and Nova since the very first time they were introduced. Finally getting their book did not disappoint. These two were not only hot together, but they also worked well together. This book is suspenseful and a bit crazy and I absolutely loved it. This is my favorite of the Redemption Harbor series and I can’t wait for the next book to come out. |
Hunting Danger, Redemption Harbor Series, Katie Reus Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews Genre: Romance I'd only read book three in this series, each are advertised as stand alone and that one I loved, didn't feel I'd missed anything by not reading first two books. I haven't read book four but when I saw this I expected to feel the same as I did with book three, that it would be complete on its own. It is....and yet I think I'd have got far more from it if I understood more about the whole group of characters, their dynamics and interaction. As it was, apart from Brooks and Darcy they were just names and I didn't feel the connection between the characters that I know would be there. Its billed as romance, and it is but for me the romance fell second place to the suspense. Its a tightly written novel, well paced, well set out, but the romance side takes a while to warm up – its very much each likes the other but hides it, and seems as though that's been going on a long time. Now they're thrown together, in danger, and emotions run hot at a time like this. Its a question of what happens once that cools down, when they're thinking with clear heads once more. Its an interesting story but I felt a bit disconnected from it, as I said I think even though its a stand alone it would work better if I'd read all of the others. I do occasionally get tired of the “quick computer hack” that takes care of everything, tells where folk are, what they're doing, spies on them remotely – even when there hasn't been time to set up cameras...and of course knocks out those cameras who see what we don't want them to. Its not just in this book, but a growing trend in many suspense reads. PCs can do lots, are a huge asset but they are machines, not miracle cures and I felt here that it was something a little over-used. Stars: Three, a good read but would have been a great one if perhaps I'd read all the earlier books. ARC supplied by Netgalley and Publishers |

Gage and Nova! THE couple I’ve been waiting for, and it’s absolutely amazing! Well, almost all of Katie’s works is amazing, so it’s really no surprise there. Haha. To stress it again, I LOVED it so much! Katie gave us her usual ingredients for a great romance-suspense book; thrilling action, suspense in the air, and scorching hot romance. Combined with multiple POVs, the book was complete, wholesome and chilling sometimes. Gage and Nova love story had been clued in for sometimes in the previous books, which made me really curious about them both. They’re great characters, tough yet vulnerable. The romance drama was a bit cliché here, but as it was not shaped the story, I wasn’t mind much about it. Oh, one more. Leighton! The next one gonna be his story I think. And I just couldn’t wait for it. I was provided a complementary copy by the author / publisher through NetGalley, but this in no way influenced my thoughts or opinions. |
Hunting Danger by Katie Reus 5th Book in the Redemption Harbor romantic suspense series. It’s best to have read prior books. In particular because the last few chapters deal with criminals from the prior books and other character storylines. Action, suspense, romance and love. Characters that steal your heart because of their unexpressed feelings. Such as: “Her friendship was one of the most important things in his life.” A group of coworkers that have deep and unwavering support of each their. A fantastic series. I can’t wait for the next book. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. I also purchased a copy to share |

HUNTING. DANGER by Katie Reus. Redemption book 5 A cryptic text from Layla , with code words, they chose when in the foster care program together, meant trouble. Then adding how Nova enjoyed Spa time, was a big elert. The chain of calls she made to use the jet for personal use, alerted the others on the team, even when she said nothing, What Layla saw her fiancée do, and sending a text and plan a get away, then she would be free. Gage is going with Nova, he saw her begining search, and no way was she going in alone. The guy her friend was with was on the DEA radar, bad news for anyone who knew him. Their pilot was shot, even with Gage now flying, crash landing was only option, someone had messed with the plane. If things weren’t so dangerous for them, maybe their feeling for each other would become known. The plot is great, you read the note, and you want answers. The characters of Layla and Gage.you will love, hopefully this trip they will get out alive, and be a couple. It is action packed, easy to read, and as always awaiting the next one. Given ARC by Net Galley and KR. Press for my voluntary review and my honest opinion. |
Katie Reus's Redstone series has been a favorite of mine for a while. I haven't read all the Redemption Harbor series, but I've read enough of them to be familiar with the characters. I definitely remember the book where Gage hears Nova's voice over the phone and falls in lust. The two of them have secretly been attracted to each other for a while, but have let work get in the way. When Gage hitches himself to Nova's cover mission to rescue her best friend, the two are thrown together in a dangerous situation with only each other to rely on. From there, things move pretty quickly even though the relationship between Gage and Nova seems to constantly take one step forward and two steps back. The sexual tension was strong throughout, and the storyline moved pretty quickly. There was plenty of action and suspense to keep things interesting. I'm curious who Layla's mystery man was at the end, and also interested to see what happens with Leighton. Looks like I'll be reading more of this series. I received an ARC. |

Nova and Gage have been sparring barbs - to hide that they are attracted to eachother. Nova calls Gagae a "Dumbass" because of the way he acts / and the answers he gives to her questions. Nova and Gage set out to save Nova's friend from her mob-drug cartel boyfriend. Noav and layla had devleoped a code word / sentence to let eachother know that they were in trouble. layla gives Nova a text message - singleing she needs to be saved.. Nova requests the private jet as a personal favor from her boss - Brook. Gage ags along to protect Nova after he hacks into the background of Layla's boyfriend. The plane crashes but Gage and Nova survie - and are resqued by a local farmer. I don;t want to give out the ending - just know that Nova and Gage are tpgether in the end. The book has lots of action and adventure. I must read. |
Hunting Danger’s three main characters are Nova, her friend Layla, and Gage who works with Nova at Redemption Harbor Consulting. Layla reaches out to Nova for help getting away from her boyfriend after she witnesses something he’s done. Nova tries to do it by herself but is joined by Gage after he finds out she’s trying to leave by the owner of the company. The rest of the book is about how the three of them evade the people who are after them. I found this book to be very similar to Reus’ Redstone Security series. They both have someone getting a friend or themselves out of trouble and an employee joining them to help keep them out of trouble. There is no mystery in the story except for how they will stay out of trouble. The best thing about this story is the fact that they all pull together to help Gage and Nova no matter what It was worth reading and I give it four stars. |

Wow! Lots of action and a very unique initial drama. I've never read a book that began like this one and I enjoyed the author's unusual start. By the end of chapter two you are so involved with the action, the characters and the story...no way can you set it aside. Great job drawing in the audience and keeping us hooked. The characters are well developed and believable, or mostly so. A tad "larger than life" but only just enough to create the story. Nova ang Gage experience life and death situations and face them with courage. Layla is a damsel in distress who has a head on her shoulders. She doesn't come across as the idiot who can't tie her own shoe that some authors create as a victim. Her being a victim is offset by her ability to think on her feet and move forward to get out of a bad situation. Enter, Nova and Gage. Their expertise and their planning are above expected because of the work they've done in the past. No spoilers. This is a great story and I'll let Katie Reus tell it to you. Suffice it to say..."well worth the price and time needed to read it." Good Job and I'm looking forward to more from Redemption Harbor Consulting. Thank you for giving me the chance to read and review this book. |
4.25⭐ Hunting Danger was an engaging, thrilling, and exciting read. That at times had me on the edge of my seat. Thanks to pockets of action, suspense and a storyline that was not only fast paced, but hard to put down. Not to mention, full of likable characters and a romance that was sweet and enjoyable to read. And I'm really looking forward to reading more from this series, when book six is released in January 2019. |
I really enjoyed Nova and Gage's story. They didn't let the little things (or big things) derail them from getting their HEA. I'm not sure the crash was really necessary, but it definitely added a little intrigue and holy-cow-ness to the story. I love these characters, so I'm glad there are more books in the works. |
This was really good! It's the fifth book in the series and can be read as a standalone, however the series is great and if you've read the previous books then you'll get a lot more enjoyment from this one. The protagonists are Gage Yates (co-founder of Redemption Harbor Security and hacker extraordinaire) and Nova Blaire (office manager for RHS and a former CIA analyst) whose romance has been simmering since Savage Rising and it was definitely worth the wait! Nova sets off on a mission to help a friend she believes is in trouble and Gage refuses to let her go alone. There's plenty of danger and subterfuge and lots of sizzling chemistry! It was great to see what the other characters are up to as well. As always the writing was faultless and the plot kept me eagerly turning the pages. Now I can't wait for Leighton's story to be published next year! Highly recommended! *Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher* |

Having read and thoroughly enjoyed all the previous books in this series, I was surprised to find I struggled finishing this advanced reader copy. I didn’t particularly feel a genuine connection between Nova and Gage, the main couple. I also didn’t buy into Nova, if she was so worried about her friend, not instinctively confiding her concerns to at least one member of her posse of professional rescuers. If nothing else, just so she wouldn’t waste precious time hatching a plan on her own at the very last second. It felt like she was going in blind with guns blazing, but left her gun at home, folks. The only thing that saved her from this stupidity was Gage going along uninvited for the ride. I’m well aware this author interjects steam in her romantic reads. However, I wasn’t expecting Gage to so crass/crudely mentally comment about a naughty boy thing he wanted to do to Nova upon his first appearance in the storyline. Gesh, mentally take her to dinner first, buddy. Those few, brief words didn’t feel classy or up to par with this author’s usual leading men book characters. It felt just thrown in for no reason. With an unlikely, life-threatening, out of the blue scenario featuring too many “WTH?” aspects to it that puts them in danger and then Gage’s knucklehead moments of pulling then pushing Nova away, by 68% into, this book became a “whatever” book. Meaning whatever happens from then on, I really no longer cared. Here’s to hoping others feel differently. I do usually love this author’s work. This one felt like a filler book just to keep the series going. Title: Hunting Danger, Series: Redemption Harbor (Book 5), Author: Katie Reus, Pages: 261, stand-alone but part of a series, just couldn’t get that into it. Book 1 - Resurrection (Skye & Colt), Pages: 250, 7/11/17 Book 2 - Savage Rising (Olivia & Savage), Pages: 250, 9/26/17 Book 3 - Dangerous Witness (Darcy & Brooks), Pages: 300, 1/30/18 Book 4 - Innocent Target (Axel & Hadley), Pages: 250, 5/22/18 Book 5 - Hunting Danger (Nova & Gage), Pages: 261, 9/25/18 Book 6 - Covert Games (Leighton & Lucy), Pages: 300, 1/22/19 (I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book via NetGalley. I have been eagerly awaiting Gage and Nova's story, and it did not disappoint! Their attraction has been captured in earlier books, and I have enjoyed watching them dance around each other for a while now. Their relationship ended up being everything I wanted and more! I really adore Gage, and I found it endearing that he thought Nova was out of his league. I understood and respected his hesitation, and I liked the way things played out. The suspense was interesting, but I found there were times that I didn't care about Layla and her ex and just wanted to see more Gage and Nova :) Overall, this was a fast moving, action-packed story with a fabulous romance! *I received an advanced copy. All opinions are my own. |
