I really enjoyed this book! I am just starting to draw and this book has simple instructions that6 you can build on to move ono other characters. The book includes transportation, food, nature, and animals from around the world and I really enjoyed seeing this figures and expanding my knowledge of these cultures. I look forward to expanding my arts and my craft with the help of this book!

Edit: I have found myself just doodling when I have time. I use the styles I learned in this book to do different animals and things around me. This book has really inspired me to get creative!

This book is a fun and easy to use guide. It would make a great gift for a child or someone trying to improve their illustration skills. At the beginning there is a brief introduction about the artist, the concept of kawaii and what equipment you might need. Then the main part of the book is separated into categories: food, animals and so on. There is even a fun puzzle section at the end.

This lovely book teaches you how to draw doodles. The author describes the technique in details with step by step drawings and words. I tried several of them and it works!!!

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

Another fun and cute Kawaii Doodle book, how could I resist it when I saw it on Netgalley?

As the book says this one is all about cute stuff from around the world!

The first chapter is all about adorable (really, how could you eat them) food from all over the world. Pretzels from Germany, Tamales from Mexico, and Dumplings from China. And that is just a few of them! They look all delicious and adorable. And then there are chapters about architecture, clothes, daily cute stuff. There is something for everyone.

I have to say at times I found the doodles a bit well.. boring, and weird. Like a skirt? With eyes? Or the Eifel Tower with eyes? Eh? Why? It wasn't even cute, nor do I think it was that fun. Plus I found it weird that some clothes didn't get an extra character (human or beast) to it, but others did.

The doodles looked quite complicated at times, though the author did their best to explain everything as best as they could.

Just like the other Kawaii Doodle book I read this one has coloring pages that also double as puzzle pages. Can you find all the cuties?

So cute, adorable, and sweet, though at times also far fetched and a bit weird (again, a skirt with eyes, or a windmill).

This book shows how to draw cute doodles. From the simple lines to a completely amazing doodle. I found this book to be interesting and educational. I like to doodle but they always end up as a box. Can’t wait to try to use these drawings the next time a doodle during a long phone conversation or a less than interesting meeting!

I received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

The cover is what drew (ha, the pun) me to wanting to "read" this book. I am a TERRIBLE artist (my friends and family can vouch for me) and I figured this book would help me improve my skills or lack thereof. The book has step by step instructions, both visually and descriptive. There are a few easy ones like the beret, chopsticks, and macaron. Maybe I need practice because my macaron looked like a sandwich! There were more intermediate/advanced doodles than I had anticipated but I still enjoyed looking at all the cute doodles and at the end there are pages you can color!

I wasn't aware that this was adobe/docs only. I only read on my Kindle. I journal and would've loved to learn how to draw these doodles.

As the title would suggest this book is adorable. The step by step instructions are straight forward and simple enough for beginners to follow while allowing more seasoned doodlers to ass their own flair. For those who are not idle doodlers but want to give themselves a little something to get them started then this would be the perfect resource.

A guide to drawing all things "kawaii." I might have to pick this one up in print so that I can learn how to draw some of these cute things. A lot of it has to do with putting faces on everything from a dumpling to a mug of coffee.

Race Point Publishing and NetGalley provided me with an electronic copy of Kawaii Doodle Cuties. I was under no obligation to review this book and my opinion is freely given.

The author starts out by explaining the word kawaii, as some readers may not be familiar with the word. Kawaii is a Japanese concept dating back to the 1970's and the word roughly translates to cuteness. It can be used to describe anything, so the author has taken the opportunity to show readers how to draw doodles in categories such as food, nature, architecture, and fashion, with the country of origin prominently displayed.

With a short description on how to use the book, readers are able to jump right in and start to create. The step-by-step instruction will be easy for beginners to follow, making this book a must have for anyone who has a desire to learn to draw in this style. The author shows the line drawings, including showing the finished picture in color. I really like how varied Kawaii Doodle Cuties is, sparking my interest in picking up a pen and trying my hand at drawing. Some of the offerings are easier than others, but the fun thing about doodling is that there really are no mistakes. Just add in a little something to cover up a problem area and transform what could have been a mistake into something unique and special.

Kawaii Doodle Cuties is not just for kids, as anyone needing a pick-me-up or a smile will not be able to resist the charm of the book. The search and find puzzles at the end of the book add a different element to Kawaii Doodle Cuties and is a fun way of seeing all of the doodles come to life. I had a lot of fun with Kawaii Doodle Cuties and I would highly recommend it to other readers.

Thank you to NetGalley for a Kindle ARC of Kawaii Doodle Cuties.

I almost got a cavity from Kawaii Doodle Cuties. That's how cute it is!

I've never read a book by this author before so I was pleasantly surprised and pleased by this how-to manual on how to draw kawaii, or the Japanese word for 'cute.'

The book opens with easy step-by-step instructions on how to draw simple shapes and styles before segueing into different categories such as fashion, nature, buildings and, my personal favorite, food.

The coolest part of this book is how the author teaches you how to build upon the basic skills of doodling and build layers upon it so it looks more crafty and complex than it really is.

There are fun search and find puzzles at the end of the art book and a tutorial on how to sketch full page illustrations.

I used to draw often as a child but abandoned it as I got older. Now, I'm looking to get back to drawing and doodling, and hopefully get my creative mojo back. My first kawaii doodle looked less cute and more like a serial killer but practice makes better.

I'm going to check out the author's earlier books because I enjoyed this one so much. It's fun for children and adults of all ages.

This is one of the cutest how-to books I've ever seen in all of my days. It was just so cute and the how-tos weren't so bad either. If like doodling but your designs come out all wrong then this is a must have. It has the cutest and easiest doodle designs ever. I would love to get this for my nieces and baby cousins, they'll love it. These designs will also look great in a planner or bullet journal. I just love the esthetics of it all and there are plenty designs to choose from.

Lovely book with a number of objects (food, buildings, clothing, cars, etc.) and animals from around the globe. It's a friendly and happy world, reminds me Richard Scarry's illustrations. Very easy steps (like in children drawing books) shows how to draw them.

Prepare to be overloaded with cuteness, but that is what you came for, right?

This book is a step by step instructions to draw all sorts of cute stuff, more cute stuff than you can shake a stick at. (Although, admittedly, a lot of the ways to get your drawings super cute is to had eyes and a mouth to them, bust this book shows you how to do it, so it works.

The book is set into sections, for food, travel, animals, that sort of thing. It is more a look-up-what-what -you-can-draw rather than sit through and read every note of it.

Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.

I love drawings that look so simple you think “I can do that!”, I like them even more when they come with instructions so you know you can do that. That’s what you’ll find in this book. Sure, you’ll still have to practice getting the little details just right, but you will feel like you can make something super cute even with no established drawing skills at all.

There’s a lot here. Who doesn’t want a smiling box of chocolates? Things like the dumplings are a little grimmer and yet still adorable even as they cry.

You’ll find more than food here though. There’s a smiling maple leaf for my Canadian friends. An angry volcano.

Still want more? How about a pyramid or a windmill? The Eiffel Tower perhaps? Animals. Transportation. Perhaps you like clothes? Between the telephone box and Fez you’d be well on your way toward drawing some cutesy Doctor Who themed art. Maybe you love Legos but are tired of stepping on them? Draw them instead!

And when you hit the end of projects to draw? There’s still more in the form of two page spreads of hidden object games (which you could also color if you so desired).

A great book for kids or adults.

If you like to doodle and would like to learn how to make adorable pictures of food, animals, landmarks, etc., this is most definitely the book for you! The creator of this volume, quit a job to become a full-time doodle artist. Kawaii is explained as a particular kind of doodle which focuses on cheerfulness and sweet faces in the illustrations. Steps are provided for how to create many irresistible doodles on your own. I woke up grumpy today and found that this book cheered me up and gave me lots of good ideas. Highly recommended if you like to draw!

My 10 year old loves all things Kawaii so I requested this title with her in mind. She thought all of the pictures were super cute and the step-by-step instructions made it really easy for her to learn to draw them as well. This book for would good for speakers of any language since the step-by-step drawings do not require reading. This book included pictures of places all over the world and it was really interesting for both me and my child to look at it and try out some of the drawings.
