This is a cute book. The directions for drawing are step by step so even a novice can achieve good results. This would be great for middle grade students that love to doodle while taking notes or watching television. I can envision students using this technique to embellish their journals and assignments in school. I enjoyed trying out the drawings.

Oh my goodness, cuteness overload!!

I went through this with my daughter's, we all totally loved it. We all have different drawing abilities but all managed to follow the steps easily and all ended up with lovely drawing after.
The steps are clear and simple and leave you with fabulous doodles that make you look like a pro!!
Great selection and interesting themes too.
Brilliant book that would make a great gift to people of a wide age range.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This how-to-draw book is honestly the cutest thing I've ever seen. I mean, the cover page says it all. The book is divided into several topics (food, animals, clothing, plants, transportation, etc) and has many easy to follow drawings. They were really intuitive and the outcome looks amazing and adorable! I love the pastel palette of the book and the consistency of style. At the very end, there's a section that acts like both I-spy and colouring sheets. If you're looking to learn how to draw adorable pictures, this is it.

Adorably cute book, but Mount Kilimanjaro is not in Japan.... I suggest quickly editing before sending it off to the printers.

This was such a cute book! The step-by-step plan shows you how to draw doodles. From food and animals to landmarks and transportation methods... This book features them all. At the back are also some coloring pages and search-and-find puzzles, which is a nice extra.

Definitely a great book for those who love drawing and kawaii doodles.

4/5

Live up to its tittle. Very cute and inspiring complete with step by step doodling, perfect for my untalented hands. Would like to see more since it covers only some of foods/transport/landmarks due to the step-by-step thingy.

Very cute book! I tried some of the drawings and they turned out really cute! Some are a bit difficult but overall I think it will be a fun book to follow along and practice drawing. If you are a doodler this would definitely catch your eye!

*I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley on behalf of the Publisher and was under no obligation to post a favorable review.

As you can imagine by the title of this book, the contents are super cute and adorable!

I really loved the layout of the book, I tried out a few of the doodles and the instructions were really clearly laid out and easy to follow and I actually ended up drawing something that looked halfway decent! I also thought the sections it was split into was great too.

As much as I loved this book there are a couple of things I wish could've been changed, I think kawaii animals is probably one of the most popular sections so I wish there was more in that part of the book, there was not that many animals. I also wish that in the clothing part there could've been a human template and tips on how to draw the cute clothing onto people rather than just the individual items themselves.

Overall I think this is a lovely book that is colourful and easy to follow, I wouldn't hesitate picking this up for a friend.

Kawaii Doodle Cuties: Sketching Super-Cute Stuff From Around the World is a new tutorial book from kawaii mistress Zainab Khan (a.k.a. Pic Candle). I've reviewed another doodle book by the same creator here, and this is more of the same. Due out 6th Nov, 2018 from Quarto - Race Point publishing, it's 144 pages and available in ebook and paperback formats.

This companion book fills out the previous book by including more country specific tutorials (see cover). The format is the same as the previous book and is accessible and user-friendly. The tutorials have step-by-step illustrations which anyone can follow.

The book starts with a general tips&tricks introduction followed by chapters with food, nature (including mountains and volcanoes), architectures, animals+birds, transportation, fashion, and everyday objects.

One of the most brilliant aspects of this book (and of Ms. Khan's art) is in showing the would be doodler how to combine and build on simple elements to produce a deceptively simple cohesive piece of art which looks very complex. There are whole collage drawings at the end of the book which are provided as search&find puzzles but which would also make superlative coloring pages as well as a good tutorial on planning full page illustrations.

I've been using doodling as an awareness/mindfulness exercise and it really does work. These are cute and good fun.

This would make a really fun rainy day activity for younger kids to, well, adult age. They're appealing and whimsical and sweet.

Five stars

A cute doodle book mostly suitable for children. It is bursting with Kawaii Doodle projects sorted into catagories, but the style could easily be adapted to anything. It would also be good for anyone wanting to liven up their journal. The book links to a YouTube channel so anyone who enjoyed this style could take it much further. Overall a bright happy, fun little book.

This book is cute, pardon the pun. The exercises would be good for beginners or Tweens. The color palette was bright and engaging. There were a lot of activities and samples of things the reader could draw on their own.

Kawaii Doodle Cuties has got to be one of the cutest art books I’ve read in quite some time. No wonder they found a way to include cute in the title! It was difficult for me to not be distracted by all the cute drawings while reading the instructions, but I’m not considering that a bad thing in this case.
This artbook covers everything I could possibly ask for on the subject. It starts with tips, tricks, and tools, as well as a quick guide on how to use the book. From there it goes through several major categories, showing how to draw different things from each. The categories include adorable food (see what I mean about the book being cute?), precious nature & natural wonders, enchanting architecture & monuments, lovable animals & birds, charming transportation, fetching fashion, and finally everyday cute. And yes, those really are the titles of each of the categories listed in the book. I didn’t make them up myself. So that should give you an idea of how adorable this instructional book is.

I really loved it!!!!
The doodles are so cute and adorable!!!!
I always thought that they were more difficult to do but with the all steps explained it seems more easy to draw and I'm willing to star creating my own doodles.
I also enjoyed the last pages, it wasn't easy to find the doodles, but I'll colour them all!!!!

I loved looking through this kawaii doodle book, as all the drawings were really cute and not too hard to do. The step-by-step instructions were easy to understand and the puzzle pages at the end of the book are definitely a good idea. All in all, this book is a must-have for all the people who like to doodle and want more cute ideas.
