Easy to follow recipes that actually turn out as good as they look. I found myself utilizing this book more than once when planning menus for the week.

Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Harvard Common Press for a copy of The Gluten-Free Instant Pot Cookbook by Jane Bonacci and Sara De Leeuw. I found the introduction of this book to be the most helpful section. It talked about reasons to use (and reasons to not be afraid of) a pressure cooker, it explained how a pressure cooker works, it talked about parts of the pressure cooker, and basic equipment you can use with the pressure cooker. A pressure cooker can help you with speed of getting food ready, easy clean up – it is all one pot, and energy savings due to just one pot and less time.

The recipes are then broken up by type, with cute names such as Beguiling Breakfast, Plentiful Pasta, and Asian Favorites. Some of my favorite recipes were:

- Crustless Quiche Lorraine
- Hummus
- Dreamy Creamy Tomato Soup
- Black Bean Soup with Cilantro-Lime Cream
- Millet and Chicken Greek Salad
- Creamy Pesto Pasta
- Chicken Tetrazzini with Rotini
- Lentil Sloppy Joes
- Chicken Pot Pie Casserole
- Honey Garlic Chicken
- Spanish Rice
- Double Chocolate Fudge Cheesecake.

The last section is about basic stocks and gives you tips and recipes for beef, chicken, and vegetable stock.

This book is full of recommendations for brands the authors like both for ingredients and for accessories. Also there are helpful tips for where to find certain ingredients. However, this book does get repetitive and kept talking about making the meat “succulent” which I thought was an odd adjective. There was also not enough pictures. There were some pictures on the chapter intro page and occasionally another one, but nowhere near enough for my liking. Overall the recipes were okay, but nothing really new or too exciting and the lack of pictures really made me mark down my score of this book.

Some great recipes in here - easy to follow as well with not too many obscure ingredients. Thank you for the chance to read it

This 144-page cookbook includes breakfast, appetizers, soup, main dishes, desserts, and more. It’s all delicious sounding and gives you all the information you need to be successful. This book starts out with some helpful pressure cooker information, gives a base recipe for GF flour that will be helpful to have on hand, and then moves into the meals. At the beginning of each recipe, she teaches you about gluten and I found that to be really helpful. The pages have food drawings of different ingredients and not full-color pictures of the final product. Next, on my list of having to make from this cookbook is her rendition of Beef Barley Soup where she swaps out the barley, because that’s not GF, and puts in whole Sorghum instead. I love that she makes things that are all-time favorites in gluten-free ways.

A good selection of gluten-free recipes that can be made in the Instant Pot, an electric pressure cooker. I enjoyed most of the recipes and thought this book would be a great addition to anyone who was eating gluten-free.

I recently reviewed a book from this collection - they have the save layout, similar chapters and same art style, and I do have a the same complaints. The cookbook does not stand out, hence I wouldn't go for it over other cookbooks in my collection. There are no pictures - I do not expect pictures from every recipe, but at least a few to catch you eye and make you browse the book.

I think this one had more attractive recipe titles and the use of more illustrations on a page did help in catching my attention. So it is an improvement compared with the other cookbook, but competing with other books I still feel like it wouldn't stand a chance.

If you’re struggling with ways to keep your food gluten free and you have a pressure cooker, then this is the book that you need to read. Although I don’t have a pressure cooker, it really interests and scares me. The book itself is a super quick read without any pictures, and gives you all the information you could possibly need to begin.

This book isn’t here to mess around, and that’s apparently through the quick instructions and the lack of pictures. Although personally I do like to compare what I made to a picture, it’s not necessary if you’re just looking to dive right into delicious recipes. Not only does the book give you exactly that, but it also explains why it’s better to use a pressure cooker, and all the parts of it as well as how to use it safely.

One of the most important things that this book teaches you, in my opinion, is how to make a gluten free flour blend. I thought you could just buy that kind of stuff, but it makes sense that it would be better if you could make your own. I think that even if you don’t have a pressure cooker, you could probably work around the recipes to make them on a stove top, or even the oven. They’re not very complicated, but they sound delicious.

Something that really interested me was the pumpkin black bean chili, because I’m not sure what it would be like to have pumpkin in your chili. Other things included in this book are frittata’s, oatmeal, and even home made sausage. The book is really interesting, just a little bland to look at. I would definitely buy this for myself, or a gluten free friend or family member. I can’t wait to make some of these recipes.

This book helped me cook for our friends and relatives who don't eat gluten, and the Instant Pot makes it wonderfully quick! We didn't make all of the recipes yet, but those that we tried were very good!

A wonderful and much needed Gluten-Free Instant Pot Cookbook. I am so thankful that Jane Bonacci wrote this wonderful cookbook for those of us who are Gluten Free. A cookbook loaded with Breakfast recipes, appetizers, Soups and Stews, Grains, Pasta, main dishes, seasonal dishes, desserts and even basic stocks. I think this is a great cookbook for those who are new to the pressure cooker because it talks about how to choose a pressure cooker, how they work, different aspects of the pressure cooker, pressure release methods and basic equipment versus special accessories. Some of my favorite recipes are Cheesy Poblano Frittata, Sweet Potato and Egg Caribbean Breakfast Burritos, Steamed Artichokes with spicy Garlic Aioli, Dreamy Creamy Tomato Soup, Creamy Mac and Cheese with crispy Bacon (yum), Classic Lasagna with meat sauce and Individual Key Lime Cheesecakes.

Great book with some interesting ideas, I don't think you have to be gluten free to enjoy the recipes - easy to follow recipes and quick and convenient cooking for people who are pushed for time.

I received a digital copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review from NetGalley and Quarto Publishing.

This provides a great overview on pressure cooking in general which is helpful for those who are new to this technique. Also, makes recommendations on additional kitchen essentials as well as tips for successful use of pressure cooker.

One of the interesting things is the use of other pans and accessories inside the pot. I am not familiar with this practice with my pressure cooker. It has enlightened my views of what is possible with my machine.

It covers breakfast, appetizers and soups! It’s pretty comprehensive with options for pasta and entrees with side dishes and desserts. A great alternative for people who need to avoid gluten in their diet. It can be challenging sometimes to make enjoyable gluten free foods.

comprehensive book of recipes, gluten free of course, but many are also dairy free, nut free etc. - the authors have thought about how to keep allergens of different types out of the recipes. There's an american focus of course but that's fine. Good mix of the usual slow cooker stews etc, plus things like ribs, breakfasts and deserts. Of course photos would greatly enhance this book - perhaps the publishers will consider this for future editions - but overall a worthwhile book for a GF collection.

this wasn't as new and excited as I assumed it would be but still good. this is a book that just because it says gluten free does not mean its overly healthy. I didn't pick up the book because I was gluten free or healthy but I presumed this could be a good Segway to cut some of my glutens out. this book is also wildly expensive!

Though the cover is quite nice, anything stimulating about this cookbook stops there. Inside, the blurbs are boring, the recipes are uninspired, and there are no photos. Also keep in account that it is actually a very short book. Someone in search of gluten-free recipes would do better getting one of many other (more comprehensive) pressure cooker cookbooks that are out right now.

If you're new to gluten-free cooking and want to recreate some of your regular meals in the Instant Pot, this book might be helpful for you. I didn't learn anything new regarding Instant Pot techniques or tricks, but the recipes will appeal to readers who want comfort food made gluten-free. I appreciate that the author made a point to recommend specific gluten-free ingredients and brands, so new GF cooks will have an easier time creating these meals. The recipes are beginner-friendly. I liked the Rib-Stickin' Chili and Vegetable Lasagna, and Apple Cinnamon Raise Bread Pudding.

My focus is always on high-quality, healthy ingredients, and this isn't a book I'd recommend if you're looking for mostly healthy gluten-free options. Readers with other food allergies/intolerances will have to make adjustments because ingredients like dairy, corn, and nightshades play a prominent role. I also wish there had been a few lighter recipes offered.

Overall this is a good place to start if you're new to the Instant Pot and gluten-free cooking and don't have allergies/intolerances to other foods.

The recipes were a nice assortment of appetizers, mains, sides, and desserts. The ingredients and preparation were reasonable, not a ton of unusual ingredients techniques were listed.
I also really liked that there were plenty of tips and useful information about electric pressure cookers, very helpful!

If you have an Instant Pot and are on a Gluten-Free diet, this book is a must have.

To start with there is a great Introduction with lots of information about equipment, tips and ingredients.

The recipes are easy to follow starting from Breakfast, Appetizers, Mains, Sides, Desserts through to Stocks and Grains.

Delicious recipes for everyone, even if you don't follow a Gluten-Free diet, only thing missing are some colourful pics, just because I love to look at the end product.
