This is the story of Ryan and Evie, one is someone whose family depends on them. This book is part of the Hope Children’s Hospital miniseries and the descriptions in this book of the other characters make you want to read the rest of the series. This book is also intriguing enough to make you want to continue to find out what happens. The book gives you enough medical knowledge to keep the reader interested but not confuse them.

Ryan has recently joined the team of Hope Children's hospital. Evie works as receptionist at the hospital. As well as helping out in the Nicu and Picu cuddling babies in need. Evie & Ryan meet for the first time in the hospital car park. When his date knocks her over, Evie looses her necklace. Later that night Ryan waits for Evie to give her back the necklace. While talking Evie hears a strange noise.
They both investigate and find a newborn baby girl. Baby Grace bonds these two together and helps heal past hurts for both our heroine and hero. This was a really enjoyable read, couldn't wait for these two to find a happy ever after. Highly recommended for fans of medical romance.

Evie, who was unable to complete the nursing training she had always wanted to do, works as a receptionist at a private hospital. She spends a lot of her free time cuddling neonates who all settle in her arms. Then playboy paediatric heart surgeon arrives and spends time with her, even though he knows he mustn't as she seems so sweet and innocent!
What happens when they find an abandoned baby in the car park?
You'll have to read for yourself and find out

2.5 stars. I love Romance novels, especially Christmas ones and although I did enjoy reading this one, it didn't work for me that much! My main issue was that it used the same tropes over and over again. The main characters seem to have no other interests besides each other and the reasons that made them incompatible. Usually, when I read a romance I get lost in it, but it seems that it did not work this time around.

Their Newborn Baby Gift is the first book in the Hope Children's Hospital
by Alison Roberts.

Evie Cooper is a receptionist at the hospital, but she also enjoys her voluntary work of cuddling the babies in the NICU and PICU. She had dreams of becoming a nurse, but when her mother passed away it fell to Evie to take on the job of looking after the family, including her dad and a brother and sister. Nursing studies fell to the wayside.

Ryan Walker is a paediatric heart surgeon. He is joining the doctors at Hope Children's Hospital all the way from Australia. He has built up a reputation of being a bit of a playboy. He has never married, and he never wants to. He comes across as being almost robotic as a surgeon because he refuses to let himself even become a little emotionally invested with his patients.

Evie and Ryan meet in a car park where Ryan's date knocks into her and Evie ends up on the floor. Later that same night Ryan, without his date, meets Evie in the carpark again but before they can talk much they end up hearing a baby's cry...somebody had left a baby to be found. From that moment life would never be the same for the baby, or for Evie and Ryan.

The story continues to let us know how the baby fares, and also the other babies under Ryan's care. We see Ryan and Evie's relationship grow knowing that they are so different from each other, wanting different things from life. It is hard to see how they will have any future together. There is always a chance though, right?

I really enjoyed this story. All the medical talk of the various babies cases and the explanations of what it all meant was very enlightening. The parts where Evie is cuddling with a baby were so sweet and very emotional moments especially when the baby would respond so beautifully to Evie. The author's descriptions of the scenes could almost put you into the book seeing every sweet moment. I love a good romance story, this was definitely one of those, and who couldn't love a tall blonde Australian doctor! No wonder Evie fell hook line and sinker for him even if she thought she shouldn't.

"In this Hope Children’s Hospital story, paediatric heart surgeon Ryan Walker knows that shy receptionist and neonatal ‘baby cuddler’ Evie Cooper is off-limits for a jaded playboy like him! But when they discover an abandoned newborn they must work together to care for her. Ryan will do everything he can to mend baby Grace’s heart—will he lose his own to Evie in the process?"
This book is a real heart warmer and I couldn't put it down. All the characters are well written and keep you invested in the story. I loved it and hope (no pun intended) that there might be more books in a series. Thoroughly recommended for a cosy winter's evening. Enjoy as much as I did!

High flying Doctor meets nurturing, nesting, new career reaching, receptionist and magical baby cuddler. They find a baby, and the romance and new family is a done deal, with a happy ever after.

Their Newborn Baby Gift is written by Alison Roberts, published by Mills & Boon Medical and is the first book in the Hope Children’s Hospital series. Evie Cooper is Hope Hospital’s Neo Natal receptionist and resident baby whisperer/cuddler. She gave up the chance to train as a nurse to care for her diabetic father and act as a surrogate mother to her siblings after her mother died. Australian paediatric surgeon, Ryan Walker is a former playboy who has relocated to the UK. They pair have an inauspicious beginning when they first meet - his date for the hospital fundraiser sends Evie flying in the car park. They find an abandoned baby -Grace - and as they care for her in the baby unit they reevaluate their lives.

A beautifully written story but I didn’t really get into it. I find abandoned baby storylines far fetched as in real life baby finders do not get to adopt them. The rest of the story is realistic, showing the sadness of not always being able to save patients no matter how desperate the parents are. I wouldn’t rush to read the rest of the series but it was readable.

I received this book via Netgalley and Mills and Boon in exchange for a honest review. I am a #MillsAndBoonInsider #netgalley

Utterly beautiful and enchanting book, this story was as completely adorable as the photograph on the cover and most definitely a joy to read.

There were undoubtedly lots of twists and turns on the way, which most definitely made me tear up more than once, at the situation, for our hero our heroine and some of the other supporting characters, several of which I hope we see more of in the near future.
Thank you for writing this beautiful book Ms Roberts x

We kick off the Hope Children’s Hospital series with Aussie paediatric heart surgeon, Ryan and the hospital’s receptionist/baby-cuddler, Evie, and if you’ve read the blurb, you’ll know there’s an abandoned baby involved in their story. Cue the awakening of my very-much-fast-asleep ovaries.

“If you came here with a really sick child, hope is the best gift we could give you.”

This had a little bit of everything, dipping it’s toes into fairytale waters and bringing a Cinderella-like feel, whilst dealing with the heart-wrenching realities of life working with unwell babies. And Alison Roberts balances everything pretty-much perfectly bringing an uplifting romance between two endearing characters which simply leaves your heart sighing happily.

“They’d found Grace together and it gave them a bond.”

Definitely a series I plan on continuing with over the next couple of months and another author for me to check out more from.

Must Read Of 2018! 5 Stars 🌟

”Welcome to our family.....”

Evie Cooper is Hope Children's Hospital receptionist and neonatal “Baby Cuddler”, due to the tragic loss of her mother, Evie has spent years putting her life on hold to care for her diabetic father and act as a surrogate mother to her three siblings, in fact Evie looks after everyone. Where as Australian Pediatric Heart Surgeon, playboy Ryan Walker (who has just relocated to the UK to accept a post at the prestigious Hope Children’s Hospital) keeps everyone at arm's length. Upon his arrival at the hospital Ryan attends the hospitals opening gala where a chance first encounter with Evie and their discovery of an abandoned baby in the hospital car park turns his life upside down and forces him to open his heart and re-evaluate his life. With his own heart on the line can Ryan embrace his new found feelings and let both Evie and Grace in long enough to find a truly well deserved HEA!
This book is a must read for all fans of romance, although it is primarily a medical romance, the medical theme is an enjoyable addition, even for those who do not normal favour the genre. Ms. Alison Roberts has written a beautiful enchanting story with captivating characters and strong chemistry that draws you in and makes you feel emotionally engaged with both the primary and secondary characters so much so you won't want to put the book down, definitely one of the best books I have read in along time, (although small spoiler alert I recommend you have a packet of tissues handy for the last few chapters).
Their Newborn Baby Gift is an incredible start to the Hope Children’s Hospital miniseries; which if first indications are anything to go by then it looks like it's going to be an amazing miniseries and with the next two books in the series coming soon, there is not long to wait for the next installment although in the meantime I shall not be short of reading material as Ms. Alison Robert’s is a prolific writer, with an amazing back catalogue available, definitely a go to author.
I received my copy from Netgalley and Mills and Boon via Mills and Boon Insiders, but this does not influence my opinions as all opinions are my own.
