This book is so good. The story of Isiah and Poppy is filled with twists turns. From their connection to the different aspects of their relationship.

A fast paced novel with a steaming hot man!
Poppy has always loved her boss, Isaiah, even when he was having an affair with her step sister, but she has kept it a secret. She has even worked really hard as his PA. This all comes to an abrupt end when Isaiah decides he wants her to, not only advertise for his prospective bride, but also to interview her. She digs her heels in at this and offers her resignation. This was the shock that made Isaiah realise that the one, who has all the qualities he desires, was right in front of him!! Now he has to woo her!
A fast paced, really enjoyable novel. The heroine is sassy and gives as good as she gets.
A really enjoyable read.

What I really liked about this story was the way that the characters actually spoke with each other once they began to develop their relationship. Poppy told Isiah exactly what she thought and he in turn actually listens, and vice versa - this is the key to a strong relationship! I thought the secondary characters were a bit thin though, this may be because I did not already know them from other stories. A quick read with quite a thin story but I thought the main characters were really well drawn and likeable.

Want Me, Cowboy is the fifth book in the Copper Ridge: Desire series (Mills & Boon Desire)by Maisey Yates.

This is only the second book I have read by this author, and I am pleased to say that I enjoyed it as much as the first one I recently read.

It's a quick sexy read about Isaiah Grayson, a successful businessman, hurt in love before but realising it's time to marry and have children. He doesn't want love, he just wants a woman agreeing to accept a marriage of convenience, no emotions involved. With that in mind, he asks his PA to put an ad in the paper for the said wife.

Poppy Sinclair is his PA. She has been in love with Isaiah since she was 18, even when he was engaged to her foster sister, the woman who broke him. He has never looked at Poppy as a woman, but when she tells him that all he requires from a wife is exactly what she does, but with sex and children added he realises that Poppy would be the ideal wife.

He gets her to agree to marry him not realising how she feels about him. The sex is hot hot hot, and they are already best friends, but the more they find out about each other, and open up to each other the more Isaiah thinks that he shouldn't marry her because he knows she wants love and it's something he will never be able to give her, isn't it??

I enjoyed the idea of the boss marrying the PA and Poppy finally getting the man of her dreams in bed if nothing else. Although there is a lot of steamy hot lovemaking, I love how the author brought the depth of both characters into the story. With both of them carrying their own emotional baggage there seems no way that they could be good for each other. Seeing them learn that perhaps they are exactly what each other needs to heal was wonderfully emotional stuff. I really enjoyed their journey.

Poppy has always had feelings for Isaish, but has never said anything as he is her boss. Now he wants her to put up an advert in the paper for a wife. Then he wants her to interview the women for him.
It's too much for Poppy so she announces she is quitting. While arguing with each other Isaiah realizes he needs a wife just like Poppy. She is stunned when he suggests she is his wife. Isaish has so many issues, he uses the excuse that he isn't like other people, then tramples all over Poppy's feelings.
Having said that it was an enjoyable read, if you like your romances with a bit of steam then this is for you. ARC received from net galley as part of mills & boon insiders. This is my voluntary review.

Book Review: Want Me, Cowboy by Maisey Yates

Want Me, Cowboy is written by Maisey Yates, published by Mills & Boon (Desire) and is the 5th in her Copper Ridge series. Poppy Sinclair has loved Isaiah Grayson from afar for over decade. She watched him fall in love, get engag d to her step-sister Rosalind, only for her to nearly destroy him financially and emotionally when she has an affair with another man and runs off with him.
Poppy is working for Isaiah and is asked to help him to write an advertisement for a wife. She balks at this and resigns He realises that as she is the perfect personal assistant she would make the perfect love. They have sex and there is a baby on the way, but ultimately Poppy refuses to marry him as he doesn't love her. Will he be able to overcome his past experiences and love again or will Poppy walk away?

I have mixed feelings about this book. I enjoyed the sparky interaction between the two main characters but felt that Isaiah's alpha male, outdoorsy character was taken to far and he just became a bully. Although the threat of marriage or I will take the baby away is often used in romance novels, in this book it was quite explicit. Isaiah cannot take no for an answer and it turned me, as a reader, off his character.

I received this book via Netgalley and Mills and Boon in exchange for a honest review. I am a #MillsAndBoonInsider #netgalley

An emotionally charged seductive romance, of recognising love that's right in front of you, nurturing it to its happy ever after ending.
What a good story!
