Nicholas Pearson has created a brilliant reference, especially for those of us who use crystals everyday and in our craft. This is a book I will go back to, time and time again as a valued resource

This was a really good resource for getting started in learning about different crystals and their meanings. If you're a beginner in the world of crystals, this is an excellent resource!

Stones of the Goddess is a throughout book about crystals and their adjoining goddess connections.
I loved that Pearson went into so much detail for all of the crystals. Pearson brushes on the magickal uses of the crystals, the goddess connected to the crystals, and he even touches on the science of each crystal . Each crystals also names the Goddess archetype.

The appendix of the book is also very useful. It addresses each element and what kind of stone goes with it, as well as all the goddess correspondences.

I found Stones of the Goddess to be an intermittent read. The subject matter was more serious than other crystal books and Pearson's passion for the goddess and crystals is evident.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I have several crystals that I use on a regular basis. I love studying and learning new things about crystals and gems. I thought I had a really good understanding from other books I have read, but I did actually learned a few things. Mixing a few other ideas and concepts that made sense.

A fantastic resource for crystal lovers and those interested in working with crystals in relation to the divine feminine. Nicholas Pearson covers a wide variety of goddesses from a variety of pantheons and the stones that relate to them. He also covers how to work with the stones to better your life through a variety of process including how to perform rituals. There are a variety of elixir recipes and invocations. At the end on the book he goes through a large number of crystals that relate to the divine feminine and their properties. I love how this book not only gives metaphysical properties to the stones but also how to work with them. The feminine focus is also very inspiring.

This is a book you will read through time and time again for reference. Its such a fascinating read with so much education that you will want to buy a hard copy for your use right away.
The author explains in exquisite precise detail why stones/crystals/gems are considered to be from the goddess and details of goddesses and which crystals are better to use with different deities or their groups. This i found particularly helpful and informative
He gives extensive information about how the three main groups of stones are formed (igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic) and how each relates to the goddess, and teaches the readers to use altars, crystal grids, charm bags, and elixirs; how to “draw down the moon” and circles along with calling the quarters; using crystals in rituals such as with lunar cycles and more. Every aspect of crystal use is here with the historical significance as well as the relationship to Goddesses.
There is also a detailed section on various crystals themselves with a great deal of information on how they are best used. There are charts on how to use crystals together in different ways, with planetary and zodiac groups. This is extensive, it is outstanding and it is the best book on crystals I have ever read. It will help me a great deal with my own practice and developing a better knowledge of proper use of my crystals. I love this book and highly recommend it . This book was a great gift to oneself .
Thank you for the ARC which does not influence my review.

As someone who loves researching crystals, I found this book a great addition to my collection. What makes this novel stand out is how it connects crystals to the Goddess instead of focusing solely on the crystals’ properties. This is a topic completely new to me even with my extensive research. The topic is thoroughly covered to the point that, by the end, I felt just as informed about it as I do they crystals themselves.

A beautifully detailed book that is a great addition to anyone’s collection.

I am new to using crystal and stones and am finding this book very helpful! Very informative and easy to understand

This a wonderful guide to crystals perhaps not for the beginner but more for those who wish to explore the relationship with crystals to individual Goddesses. The initial discourse on the Divine Feminine does enter some pretty shaky ground particularly surrounding the authors perceived notions on feminism. If this is a trigger for you skip it and go straight to the well researched information on each stones correspondences to astrology and elements, Goddess archetypes, healing properties, and magical uses. This book also includes instructions for Goddess-centered rituals, guided meditations, and spells. It also gives instruction on how to create Goddess-centered crystal grids, crystal elixirs, and charm bags. This is definately worthy of your bookshelf space if you wish to take your Goddess Magick up a notch.

Author, Nicholas Pearson’s book offers a jam-packed volume of wisdom about crystal lore and usage through the lens of Goddess study and devotion. Looking at the Notes (Bibliography) section at the back of the book confirms the extensive research and credible resources used in compiling this book and providing relevant and cohesive information.

Mr. Pearson states in the Introduction…

“ The inspiration behind Stones of the Goddess began with my desire to deepen my connection to the tides of life, magick, and mystery that keep the cosmos in order.”

I would echo that by saying that this book will most definitely achieve that and inform about the crystal kingdom as well. The interweaving of the sacred Feminine and the Sacred Earth domain are beautifully represented in a way that is both user friendly and clear in its intention.

Part One begins with the basics of crystals, their use and the more commonly selected ones. Everything is covered from soup to nuts; cleansing, storing, selecting and attuning and programming to name a few. This serves as an excellent primer for anyone who wishes to use crystals in a more specific way. This section is filled with photos, which is a great way of use for identification of crystals and building your own visual crystal encyclopedia.

Part Two, entitled Meeting the Goddess, moves into the stories and energies of the Goddess and application of Goddess energy. The myths and worship within a matriarchal society are brought to life and the resurgence of the Divine Feminine in all of Her forms completes the first stirrings of connection to what is ancient and organic in nature.

Part Three, Crystals for the Divine Feminine, brings the information of crystal use and the Herstory of the Goddess together seamlessly as a variety of stones are presented. From the start, the Compendium of Crystals takes a look at crystals bringing multiple correspondences into play; magickal uses, the astrological signature, element, Goddess archetype and formation process. The description of each crystal is complete and diverse in its presentation.

Completing the book, the Table of provides even more info for a quick selection list broken down into Goddess-Elemental-Planetary and Zodiacal. All of your favorites are there, as well as some less common crystals that deserve a closer look.

My only negative note about this title is that it won’t be released until February 19.2019. Have mine on pre-order and can’t wait!

I absolutely adored this book. The writing was impeccable; both incredibly informative and down-to-earth, making the book easy to read and totally relatable. It was literally everything that I was needing in this moment; I'm fairly certain I highlighted and bookmarked every other page. I am so thankful to the author for putting this book out there. A new favorite on my bookshelf, a definite recommend, and one that I will reach for again and again.

This one is more encyclopedia-like, giving information about a variety of crystals. You are also getting introductory information on crystals and getting a history from pre-Christianity up until now and symbolism. As well a few different correspondence charts at the end which is nice.

I really enjoyed this resource. Stones of the Goddess is a great guide on crystals, minerals and rocks and how to use them. This book goes much deeper than other guides, yet the information is presented clearly and concisely that is easy for a beginner to understand and absorb.

Stones of the Goddess is a crystal user’s guide on working with goddesses and the Divine feminine. Nicholas Pearson’s expertise in crystals is apparent throughout as this is a detailed and well researched manual. The stand out for me was the rock formations process compared to the maiden, mother, crone triality that we see in several goddess stories. This scientific and geologic look at nature’s cyclical process is the essence of this book- that the goddess is present in the mineral kingdom. There were several crystal grids, charm bags, elixirs, meditations that were included. This book couldn’t be more timely as we are currently experiencing the women’s empowerment movement and the rise of the feminine. If the Goddess represents nature and change, using her gifts will help us navigate our way through this new expansive consciousness.

This is an extensive and extremely informative book. Brimming with wonderful photographs and illustrations. I have read quite a few crystal books but none have this depth of information. I loved the rituals and ideas for practical uses of the stones. The details of the goddesses and the history added such a magic and intrigue to the book. The author is extremely knowledgeable in the area and the book is well structured and beautifully illustrated. Definitely one to keep on the coffee table. It makes you want to fill you home with the beautiful stones. Thank You

This is a book you will want to take your time reading and not rush and skim through. There is so much more to it than it being just another crystal book. I would call this more of an advanced crystal/goddess book as it goes into depth on both and expands greatly on the basics you will see in other books on either topic. The author explains in great detail why stones/crystals/gems are considered to be from the goddess and then goes into the most extensive detail of any other book I have ever read regarding different archetypes of the goddess and which crystals are better to use with different deities or their groups, how the three main groups of stones are formed (igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic) and how each form relates to the goddess, and basics such as altars, very lengthy descriptions of all sorts of crystal grids, charm bags, and elixirs; how to “draw down the moon” and circles along with calling the quarters; using crystals in rituals such as with lunar cycles; and so much more. There is also a very extensive section on various crystals themselves with a great deal of information including on how and when they are best used. There are charts at the end grouping crystals together in different ways, such as with planetary and zodiac groups, and there are lots of references given if you want to further your learning on what is cited in the book. One review cannot possibly list all the information this book holds, and this is the type of book I see myself going through again and again, and I bet I would learn something new every single time. This book is well worth the money and only makes me want to look for more books by this author.

I did receive an advanced copy of this in exchange for my review before the book came out, but I had already put it on my wish list to buy a copy early in while reading it.
