Wow, was this one intense! Caden and Greyson are newlyweds, both veterans suffering from PTSD as well as childhood trauma. When Caden suddenly feels he is being "watched" and inhabited by a stranger, his desire to hurt Greyson during sex is overwhelming. Fortunately, Greyson enjoys it and so it continues as Caden leaves bruises and is only able to stop short of really damaging his wife. While I am not a prude, there was SO much sex that I actually got tired of hearing about every orgasm they experienced and it took away from the plot. That being said, the plot is incredibly interesting and the ending is amazing. So fans of Reiss will surely love this novel and I will attempt the others as the writing is strong and believable.

This is my first CD Reiss read and I didn't know what to expect but certainly not what I did get. It's a domestic thriller, yes, but of a special kind - lots of sex, and it doesn't hurt when interested readers don't forget that the newly weds are both veterans, both haunted by what they experienced in war, and lots of their struggles are coming out and are being expressed through their sex life. I'm sure fans of the author will love the book. It wasn't "mine", though.

HE'S HER HUSBAND BUT HE'S NOT THE MAN SHE MARRIED

Caden and Greysen come home from deployment to build a life together. Everything is perfect, until Caden starts changing into a different man -- one with a savage edge that's as dangerous as it is seductive.
With time running out and forces bigger than their marriage working against them, Greysen needs to put together the pieces before Caden takes it all too far...

This is my favorite genre to read, a domestic thriller. I have never read one like Girl on the Edge before! Totally original and with a unique story line and characters. Great read!

I was quite happy with this book and I ended up reading it within a couple of days because I could not put it down. It will definitely be a book that I recommend to friends that love to read. You will not be disappointed and this book was not boring or a slow burn that's for sure.

Girl on the Edge by CD Reiss is a domestic thriller about a marriage gone dark. Clock is ticking and the wife needs to get to the bottom of it before everything tears them apart. A great book!

I received an advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review

Definitely not what I expected. A helluva lot steamier and a helluva lot crazier. Enter at your own risk.

WOW, what an ending!? CD Reiss has destroyed me yet again with this incredible book...

In Girl on the Edge, we meet Caden and Greyson, a military couple, having found each other during the harsh realities of war. After returning home to New York to try and start a life as a married couple, everything begins to change, testing the limits of even the most hardened soldier. Watching these two fight for each other without limits, again and again, was beautiful and heartbreaking. Their commitment, strength and undying love overflowed from the pages and I was crushed at every obstacle they endured and my heart swelled with each step forward. Highly recommended author and book - I've been a fan of Christine's for years and she always finds some new creative twist and Girl of the Edge was no different! War, love and just the right amount of CD Reiss-style sass.. ;-)
