I always enjoy a Mary Burton book and this one was no exception. Macy Crow, an FBI agent, gets sent on an assignment to find a serial rapist. She is hooked up with the hunky sheriff and they have some shared “history” if you know what I mean. A little bit of romance, but it’s not enough to gross you out if you don’t like romance novels. I’m happy to see that this will be a new series by Burton! Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC. |

I have read several books by Mary Burton now and I must say for romantic suspense/thriller you can't get much better. Interesting characters and a good mystery story line with some tie-in to previous books, I would definitely recommend this author. I received e-book from NetGalley in return for an unbiased review. |
Hide and Seek kept me on my toes. I am an avid Mary Burton fan and love that she keeps her characters going from one book to the next. I enjoy picking us a book and diving right in with familiar characters from novels I’ve already read. In Hide and Seek Macy and Nevada team up to catch a killer. In this romantic suspense novel. Thanks to the author, her publisher and NetGalley to the opportunity to read Hide and Seek. |
A great enjoyable read kept my attention from start to finish and I’d recommend reading it the author had a way with words that had me hooked can’t wait for more |
It's time for Macy Crow's story and I think it's my favorite so far. There are twists to this mystery that have you guessing right up to the author's reveal. The characters are great and the chemistry undeniable. There are also some surprising reveals along the way leading to a very satisfying conclusion. I highly recommend this book! |
It was an honor to read hide and seek by Mary Burton. She is one of my favorite authors. This book does not disappoint. I did not want to put it down. All the way up until the end, you are sure it’s one person, then bam Ms Burton, changes it up flawlessly. I met Macy Crow in Ms burtons previous book about her twin sister faith. To see that she survived that horrible hit and run and can still do a damn good job. Plus, meeting up with a previous love and seeing where that goes. Excellent book. |
I was so happy when I saw that Macy Crow was getting her own book and the bonus is its also the first book of a new series. We met FBI agent Macy Crow in Cut and Run where she was left recovering from hit and run that left her body broken. After working hard in physical therapy to get her body back into working order she gets a call Jerrod Ramsey who has an opening on his elite FBI profiling team. Her audition for the role is being sent to Deep Run, Virginia after a set bones is found of a girl that went missing 15 years ago and evidence ties her to a serial rapist who active 14 years ago. Going to Deep Run reunites her with former FBI agent Mike Nevada who is now Sheriff of the small town. The two had a short no strings affair on a previous case but Macy's being commitment phob and intense psychical therapy she knew she would need after the hit and run she dropped all contact. The serial rapist who graduated to serial killer is also front and center in the story. The author does a great job of keeping his identity a secret right up until the end. Lots of surprising twist throughout the story along with an engaging story from beginning to end. |

This is the first book by Mary Burton that I have read but it will not be the last. Following a horrific hit and run accident Special Agent Macy Crow is determined to get back to what she does best - catching killers. She is offered a position on the FBI’s elite profiling team and is sent to investigate the disappearance of a young girl whose body has just been found. On arrival she meets an old flame, local sheriff Mike Nevada, who is working in the town. The story is well written and there is plenty of twists and turns to keep you interested. The Characters are great and you can really feel the emotional connection between the two main characters. Well worth a read and don’t worry if you have not read the previous book. I received this ARC from NetGalley for an honest review. |
I received an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This is a follow up to Burton's Cut and Run novel. We pick up with Macy and follow her on a case where she reconnects with a retired agent. I always like Burton's suspense stories because they show different aspects of the investigation. There was a small paranormal aspect to this story that I was not expecting. All in all, another great story from Mary Burton- my 17th book of hers! |

Hide and Seek, is a great "who did it" thriller. We're given enough to narrow it down, but it's not until the end that it becomes clear. I would definitely reread this book. |
I really enjoyed this book. Very good mystery with lot of twists and turns and I really liked the characters. She is one of my favorite authors and one whom I can recommend to my customers and know that they will enjoy the book |
