OHHHHHHHH this was SO GOOD! "Keep your friends close...but enemies closer" INDEED! I loved this book, it was right up my gossip loving, absolute nosey alley! The ending was so satisfying, as well.

Jane Fallon does it again with another intriguing tale of deception and lies. This one had me guessing from the very beginning, pulling me in until I couldn't bear to put it down. Loved it.

The second book I read from Jane Fallon, the first one was very enjoyable so I expected the same of this one. To go short: I did not get disappointed!

Fallon’s writing style is entertaining and light hearted. The story, a ‘I tell mine and you tell yours’ shows that sharing secrets can backfire and end up in a vicious conflict and intrigue.

I enjoyed this book a lot, it’s easy to read and hard to lay down.

Tell Me A Secret by Jane Fallon has been another difficult one for me to review. Partly because I can see the potential in the book and I could see how some people could love the story. Let’s face it stories about the deceptive nature of people are always a solid base for a novel! However, for me, I found the pacing to be too slow and ultimately predictable. As such, I did struggle to finish the story because I didn’t have that feeling of oh I can’t wait to dive back into this one, therefore I prioritised other books.

That being said the premise of an office friendship and the implications of what happens when one person inevitably starts doing better than the other. The jealously was great and the development of toxic characters was fun to read.

Overall, 3 stars for Tell Me a Secret. It was an easy read, that I know many people will find really enjoyable. It just didn’t blow me away.

I enjoyed this and its a very easy read. It felt quite predictable all the way through but I didn't see the end coming. It's by first Jane Fallon book but it won't be my last.

I struggled with this book in the beginning, the backstory and character development was a bit on the slow side, but get past the first few chapters and it improves massively. The story was believable, we've all met a real life Roz! It was nicely paced and the characters were well written with plenty of depth.

I am sorry. I don’t like leaving negative review on books I get from nethalley but this one... this one I really did not enjoy. It took me weeks and weeks to finish it and I did not find much pleasure in it at all. The story was tedious and utterly - utterly - predictable. And the characters felt stale and unbelievable. On the whole, I found this rather boring :(

With thanks to Netgalley, Jane Fallon and the publishers for this ARC in exchange for an open and honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I used to pick up Jane Fallon's books as soon as they came out but I seem to have missed a few in recent years. I will going back to pick up where I left off.

The premise of this novel was great. A close office friendship that turns sour when one of the pair gets promoted. Revenge comedies are definitely a strength of Jane Fallon's, she explores the darkness of the office environment and just how pervasive it can be into all aspects of a person's life. This book was a page-turner with well written, amusing, true-to-life prose that is a joy to read. The ascerbic narrative moves at a fast pace and whilst I could see the ending coming I was surprised by the level of emotion that it evoked.

I absolutely loved this book. Its totally gripping and absorbing. This book is full of deception, intrigue, jealousy, revenge, friendship, all of this makes for a stonker of a great story. Its so brilliantly written that for a while, even though you think you know who the guilty culprit may be, you start to question the possibility of it being someone else. The main setting is within the work place and we watch the dynamics between collegues and friends. Just who can you trust?

Who would you tell your secrets to? It has to be a careful choice.

I enjoyed this book and read it over one weekend. The author Jane Fallon has written a highly entertaining story.
It takes "Office politics" to the highest level. Anyone who has worked in this environment can certainly relate to some of the situations described.

Who would you trust if someone was trying to sabotage your job? What if those closest to you were the ones you couldn't trust?

Think you know who you work with everyday? Think again!

Wow! Another triumphant success from the pen of Jane Fallon. I devoured this book in 48 hours it was so addictive.
Holly has just got promoted in her work with the script department of a long-runnig tv soap and she is rightly delighted. Someone else, however, isn't and they'll do anything to prevent Holly's probationary period from going smoothly leading to a permanent position.
If you love a story with twists and turns in the plot then this is for you.
I loved the way that Holly and her best friend, Dee, turning to amateur sleuthing to solve the mystery of just who has got it in for Holly and although I saw the twist in the story it in no way detracted from my enjoyment of this latest novel from one of my favourite authors.
Only read if you have time to devote, because you will not be able to just read a chapter and put it down. Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to review this marvelous book.

I found this to be totally predictable and therefore boring.
Not a bad story but also not one of the best.

Jane Fallon does it again! I loved, loved, loved this book which tells the story of best friends Holly & Roz who work together as script editors for a UK TV soap. As the story begins Holly is recently promoted within the team and is keen to do a fantastic job in her new role. Holly is a single mum to her young adult daughter who is currently pregnant with her first child. As Holly soon discovers, it is not always straightforward to manage people who you once worked alongside and it's not long before Holly suspects that someone is attempting to sabotage her - but who?
The thing I enjoyed most about this book was the relationship between Holly & her friend and colleague Roz which is mainly due to the authors' skill in writing such great characters - even when they are horrible ones that the term "frenemy" may well be invented for.
An absolutely superb book and 5 stars from me - read it and enjoy!
Thanks to Netgalley UK, publishers and author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Amazing. What can I say. Jane Fallon does not disappoint. I have read all her books and they are all really good. This one did not take long to read. I warmed to the main character and a few surprises throughout the book don't want to give any spoilers away.

A good solid, entertaining story but didn't blow me away! Roz and Holly work together as script editors. They appear to be best friends until Holly applies and wins a promotion and then odd things begin to happen to her. Clearly, sparkly, hysterical and completely over-the-top Roz is up to something and Holly has to find a way to survive it.
In its favour, I was intrigued and the story was unpredictable and kept me interested. However, some of the characters weren't believable and I felt the story pretended to be more complex than it was. Overall, I enjoyed it while I read it, but it wont be my most memorable read.

The formula remains the same for Jane fallon books, however this one is probably one of her better ones. Yes predictable, yes the same in theory as her other books but gripping and great characters nonetheless! Thank uou

I received an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.
This is a mildly amusing tale about a group of professional middle-aged women carrying on like reality tv villains. No real twist or suspense, we know who the bad guy is right away, just for those who like mess

Another great title from Jane Fallon. The second I've read and just as gripping. I love the focus on female friendships and really enjoyed the Acton/TV studio setting. It was hard to look away from this intense narrative as a friendship increasingly becomes more and more toxic. A few twists and turns, interesting characters, and overall a very gripping read.

I found this Jane Fallon book a little slow to get into, but then it more than made up for this as it went on. I think the characters were believable and there were some interesting twists and a few angles that I didn't see coming. It left me feeling satisfied with no loose ends which is something that doesn't always happen, but always makes a read more enjoyable.

Jane Fallon does it again with another great book. “Tell Me A Secret” is a twisty tale featuring diabolical office shenanigans, women trying to keep everything together and friends who will do anything for you. Fallon really excels at fast-moving plots, fully developed characters and making the reader feel very invested in the story. Although I’m loathe to use this over-used phrase, in this case it’s true: “A real page turner!”
