I suspect not having read the previous book spoilt this.
There just seemed to be too many flash backs relating to the previous book which I could not relate too.
This was not for me.

I could not get into this. I kept waiting for this getting have a f/f relationship and it did not seem to appear so I just stopped. There was potential for this but it just did not appear.

DNF. I have got to stop immediately clicking on scifi lgbtq stories just because they're scifi lgbtq stories. I also didn't realize Forbidden Pursuits was the second book in a series, which is probably the main reason I couldn't get into the story.
