A book that was publish a while ago, but I was allowed to read through Netgalley. I found this to be a very quick read, which I read in one night. The pace was fast with action and with a good romance between Travis the Hero who is a former Marine who now works for Red Stone and is ordered to take a vacation. He immediately heads for the coffee shop that is owned by Noel for he wants to ask her out finally. When he gets there she is rushing out to go help a friend which he brings himself along. There begins the time the two of them will be with one another for a while due to what happens at the friend’s house. There are plenty of heated moments between the two main characters and a few lite moments as well. I found this to be a wonderful story and a very quick read.

5 - "There’s nowhere I’d rather be right now, than with you." Stars!

Katie Reus delivers yet again with the fourth book in the Red Stone Security series. Although a quick read, Miami, Mistletoe & Murder delivered all the aspects that I love about this authors writing

He looked at her and saw the future he’d always wanted.

Travis and Noel having spent the last few months sussing each other out on the attraction front are finally moving towards more than just casual acquaintances when Noel is called by the young girl she mentors, her Mother and ex are rowing and she’s scared for their safety. Travis, who is with Noel when she takes the call goes with her to see if he can help.

But the risk isn’t eliminated as was initially assumed and Noel finds herself indirectly in danger because of Travis’s actions on that night.

He liked seeing her off balance around him…

Quick, sexy, and likeable characters are all things I have used to describe this author work many times before, and the same can be said again with this book. Another winner, and one that can be easily read as a standalone.

5 Reasons to read Miami, Mistletoe and Murder (in no particular order):

1. It’s festive but not overly so if it’s not that time of year.
2. There is indeed a murder....
3. ...and some very sexy time.
4. Katie Reus wrote it and she’s become a firm fave over the past couple of years.
5. Hero has a piercing (and it’s not in his ear).

It’s fairly short, so is lower in terms of storyline depth but was a sound introduction to the Red Stone Security series despite being the fourth book and has reinforced the fact that I need get my arse in gear and read the rest of the series.

“Christmas was supposedly the time of miracles and he’d definitely found his own miracle.”

Noel owns a coffee shop and mentors with Big Sisters. Travis is former military and now works for Red Stone Security. He has a week off and goes to Noel’s shop to see her but she’s coming out as he’s going in and she’s upset. Her Little Sister called and said her mom and her ex were arguing outside. Travis goes with Noel to check in them. They arrive and they hear a gunshot. Tra is goes in and ends up killing the ex boyfriend. Noel and Travis start spending lots of time together after and it gets steamy. Neither really thought they had a chance with each other but both have been interested in the other since they met. When Noel is attacked, it brings them closer together and they both know they are with the one meant for them. Noel is sweet, sexy, and a strong. Travis is a hunky, tattooed, pierced ex military. Steamy. Short but oh so good. * Voluntarily read and reviewed this for Netgalley *
