While I do like her written I'm just not enjoying it like I use to .With that said I don't think she's the author for me any more, so as as right now I'm sad to say that I'm DNF her books

I would like to thank Netgalley and Leslie North for allowing me to read this wonderful second installment in the Yared Sheiks's series.

Maia Kurtz is the Royal decorator for Christmas at the Kingdom of Maatkare and she's trying to keep everything in order. Yonas Yared is the youngest son of Sheikh Yared, he's meant to be away with friends (like always), but he's been summoned to stay this Christmas at the palace and help Maia with the decorating of the palace. What could possibly go wrong? Well he kisses Maia and she has no idea what to do? Yonas has a soft spot for Maia's son but does he also have a soft spot for Maia? What happens when Yonas' world collides with Maia's world? Will it be a Happy Ever After Christmas or will it fall apart at the seams?

Maia’s was tasked with bringing a little western flair in this years holiday festivities. Yonas had a hard time getting on board with his father’s vision to change their yearly celebration while their mother is away. He lived the life of a carefree playboy and having a single mother come into his life knocked the breath out of his lungs. Will he still feel enamored with the life he has long lived or does he want something more? Great fast read.

Maia has to meet the challenge of her work and Yonis, the youngest Yared in this Christmas tale. Enjoyed returning to this family and country for another Christmas tale.

Leslie North has written another adorable, racy, little romance!

Leslie, the critically-acclaimed author, has written more than two hundred books across forty-six series’ in the Romance, Young Adult and Suspense genres. Alluring from the very beginning, THE SHEIKH’S CHRISTMAS FAMILY is Book Two in the ‘Christmas with the Yared Sheikhs’ series. Book One is entitled ‘The Sheikh’s Christmas Fling’ and the title of the third book is ‘The Sheikh’s Christmas Lover.’

Its Christmas-time in Maatkare and Maia must make sure the Sheikh’s palace is decorated for all the holiday festivities. The decorating is the easy part. Yonas Yared, the youngest son of the family, is a bit more of a challenge. Maia knows she’s in trouble when she sees how wonderful Yonas is with her young son. Protecting her heart from the one man who makes her think naughty thoughts she shouldn’t is proving more difficult than she ever imagined.

Yonas will go crazy if he has to spend the entire holiday season with his family. He’d much rather be partying the nights away than stuck in the palace helping their new irresistible decorator. As events transpire to keep him in the palace, he’s surprised to realise he’s glad to be home and equally surprised to find that getting his serious little decorator into his bed is becoming more and more important. The problem is, once she’s there, he doesn’t want her to leave. And nothing in his life has ever scared him more.

Leslie North is very good at developing her characters where opposites attract and this novel is no exception. The meeting of carefree, party animal Yonas and Maia, who is sensible, focused and responsible, was explosive.

The storyline is easy to follow, with plenty of emotion, angst and tension. The chemistry between Maia and Yonas was electric and what was also great was the laughter and fun enjoyed within the family.

The SHEIKH’S CHRISTMAS FAMILY is an enjoyable and well-written romance with which to curl up on the sofa on a dark winter’s night or any time, really, with a mug of hot chocolate and it makes a fantastic holiday read.

{Thank you to #NetGalley, Relay Publishing and Leslie North for the free copy of this book and for giving me the opportunity to provide an honest review.}

Are you looking for fast-paced, emotional escapism of a novel? Then you should check out one of Leslie North latest novels. Another one of the many books of hers that are set in a fictional Arabian country, it features two people from completely different way’s of life - Maia, a woman with a young son hired to as a temporary decorator for the holidays, and Yared the youngest of the three sons of the King, who has a reputation of a playboy.
Neither party expected to fall for each other with such passion, but of course, there are some roadblocks along the way.
I really enjoyed this fast read, finding it entertaining, with characters that had just enough depth to make them enjoyable, but without boring the reader with too many details. If you are looking for a quick, hot read, then you will most likely enjoy this book.

This is book three in the three part novella of the Sheikh Yared stories. The three brothers of Maatkare are young, attractive and a bit complicated. This novella focuses on Yonas, the youngest of the brothers and the renowned playboy. Here, he meets Maia, the American decorator and single mother. Their story is steamy and sweet, and has a wonderful HEA. I liked this one and the entire series a lot.

A Christmas fairy tale with a slight difference and the usual happy ending. Thanks to the publishers and netgalley for letting me have the book to review.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Cute Christmas romance between an American woman and a Sheikh. Yonas was the youngest son and the playboy of the family.

Maia was a single mom and a bit on the serious side until she fell for Yonas. Things were going along too well so you know that something is going to happen and Maia walked in when Yonas was with another woman. At that point, they both said some pretty hateful things and acted like immature kids not adults.

Good thing, Yonas got serious and showed Maia that he was going to win her back and they had a nice HEA.

Yonas is a partying playboy who thinks he will find love with a woman he talks with on the internet and at the beginning of the book wants to go and see instead of staying with his family for the holidays. I don't believe that he actually changed his ways by the end of the book and I still think of him as a playboy and not someone who is a family man. I didn't like him at all. I mostly liked Maia, but she did a couple of things that I wasn't a fan of. She is nowhere near to Yonas when it comes to disliking though and I was on her side. Together they don't make the best couple and they didn't have a strong pull on me, meaning that I wasn't exactly rooting for them. She could have done better. When we are talking about a novella, the romance is supposed to be the strongest part or something in the plot and neither thing happened and that led me to a 2-star rating.

Maia has two passions: Her son and being an interior designer. She is in Maatkare to design the palace throughout the Christmas holiday for the Sheikh. All is well until she clashes with Yonas, the youngest child of the Sheikh. Yonas and Maia's story gets hotter as their chemistry builds, and makes for a fun sexy romance. With a Christmas HEA, it is a heartwarming read for all ages. I would like to thank NetGalley and Relay Pub. for gifting me "The Sheikh's Christmas Family". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 4.25 Stars!

Anything Can Happen at Christmas

The immature "clown prince" Sheikh is captured by an irascible decorator from the US. It has very little royal airs, moves really fast, and isn't the least conservative at all, so it's not a sheikhdom most will be familiar with.

It’s Christmas time in Maatkare, and it’s Maia’s job to make sure the Sheikh’s palace is decorated for all the holiday festivities in this tiny, Orthodox Christian kingdom. The decorating is the easy part. Yonas Yared, the youngest son of the family, is a bit more of a challenge. Maia knows she’s in trouble when she sees how wonderful Yonas is with her young son. When I started reading I couldn't put it down. Leslie North is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can't wait for the next book.

Yonas went through the grand hall of his family’s palace. The place was a mess after the enormous holiday party. Yonas was drunk. Yonas hates the overblown American-style decorations his father insisted on for the gala for the American Embassy. He hated the holiday most years- too many boring events so not enough chances to sneak away and do his own thing. He was yanking some decorations down when he heard a woman’s voice say stop, what are you doing? She also said she had spent days getting the decorations perfect. Yonas said” you’re the decorator.” She said yes and he was the butthole. Being insulted in his home could only lead to a memorable Christmas. He then told her to make him a offer he can’t refuse and he wouldn’t tear the decorations down. Maia thought Yonas was hot but he was a touted playboy and hadn’t even noticed her. She was to make sure the palace was royally decorated for each and every event on the docket , from the end of November through the middle of January. Maybe Yinas did need help and she could be the one to give it to him. When Maia suggested he tell her what he wanted he said a kiss. She gave in and gave him a kiss than a second one than he turned around and tour another decoration down. Maia than left The next morning Yonas was woken up by his father's phone call and he was hung over. Yonas had to apologize to Maia and help her do whatever she told him though the rest of the time she was there. He did apologize and after a bit she did let him help her. Than Yonas’s twin sisters -Wenta and Sesura- came to help. They liked practicing their English with maia and were fascinated by the tricks she used to decorate their home. Maia had a three year old son- Julian- but he stayed with her friend Iliana a friend she had went to school with. She watched Julian while Maia worked and stayed there when she wasn’t working. Maia didn’t get to spend as much time with Julian as she liked. Maia admitted to herself she wouldn’t mind knowing how good Yonas was in bed. Maia gave each of her workers different tasks to do, running through the to-do list in her mind. Yonas was something of a natural clown and entertained his sisters while they worked. Maia realized the crux of her problem with Yonas was he had everything she had always wanted in life with a big family. And he usually escaped them. By choice. Maia had been adopted and a only child. Maia kept her nose to the grindstone for long enough, ignoring everything except her son and her bank account. The flirtatious dance was fun, as long as it stayed within her boundaries. Her boundaries demanded absolutely nothing more than work assistance and the occasional sweet treat. Even though the deepest part of Maia was desperate to see where the kisses might have lead. Yonas needed to get away from the palace and goes to where maia is staying he thinks at first she is a lesbian but than finds out she was talking to her young son. Yonas calls his father and tells him Maia would not be a work today and he took Julian and her to the zoo, they even had a private tour. After they left the zoo Yonas had dinner with her and Julian and maia’s friend and he ends up spending the night, It had been over a year since Maia had been with a man. Awhile for Yonas also. They became lovers.
I enjoyed this book a lot. I locked how Yona’s was changing without realizing it. I know things looked wrong when Maia saw Yonas in the garden with that woman but she had been with him a lot the last month she should have known him better. At least given him a chance to explain. She was just afraid and used this to distance herself from Yonas even though she was hurt. But I did love Yonas and Maia and julian together. I liked the pace and the plot a lot. I read this in one setting. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend it. I wish I could have rated it 4.5.

The second book in this series.
Maia is in Maatkare just for Christmas, to decorate the palace for the festivities. She never expected to fall for the Sheikh's son Yonas. Can he be trusted with her heart?

A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the second in a series. This read well as a stand alone. So far, I am not really enjoying this series. The Sheikhs seem really shallow and whinney. Maia is great, and is not overwhelmed by the big personalities. This only thing I did like about Yonas, was how accepting he was of Maia's son. I give this a 3.

When opposites attract, things will always be interesting; and in this second book of the Christmas with the Yared Sheikhs series, the meeting of carefree, party boy Yonas and the focused, responsible Maia, is definitely a recipe for fireworks.

The storyline is easy to follow, with angst, tension and heightened emotions too. Chemistry; well there’s certainly no shortage of that, but what I really loved about this story was the relationship between Yonas and Julian and the fun and laughter they enjoyed in family settings. Both Yonas and Maia are strong resilient characters in their own right, but the prerequisite misunderstanding will test their mettle and push Yonas to decide if he is ready to step away from the playboy lifestyle he has lead for so long.

The Sheikh’s Christmas Family is an enjoyable and well-written romance, that I absolutely recommend as a wonderful holiday read.
