Elizabeth has tried hard to please her father her whole life. Unfortunately, he's hard to please and hard on her partly because she's a woman. She's determined to find the perfect man to model her father's new men's clothing line but when all the best models say no Elizabeth has to look outside the box. James is a YouTube sensation who will do anything for a payday. He's raising his younger brother so he has to work hard to keep a roof over their heads. When "Lizzie" sees James in a dive bar she ducks in to get out of the rain, she's captivated by his looks and physique even though he definitely needs a hair cut and shave. Turning "Jimmy" into the perfect men's model is a job but she's sure she can do it. Thus begins a crazy relationship between the two that ends with them being more alike than different. Enjoyable romance.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4.5 Dare Devil Stars
Enjoyable, predictable, slow burn. I just loved rough around the edges James ‘Jimmy’ Rowan, I had no idea how Elizabeth Banks could show so much restraint around him, he was sex personified, both before and after she ‘tweaked’ him. When Lizzy decides to create a supermodel from scratch she had no idea how successful she would be. The question is, is it all going to blow up in her face? Wonderful writing (dual POV), sexy, yet vulnerable main characters, off the charts chemistry between Said characters. Just do ‘it’ already! Additional characters added to the mix are a rather annoying and uptight father, and a too cute for words little brother, along with a whole host of others I could ramble on about. All these things kept me hooked from the first chapter. Highly enjoyable, entertaining read.

I think the premise of the story was interesting, and I looked forward to reading how everything would play out. However, it felt a bit monotone to me. I couldn't really get into the story, I was reading without being engaged with the characters. Especially, Lizzy Banks was someone I could not relate to or find sympathetic. I also didn't like the whole transforming the daredevil into a gentleman. I think it was a bit too much in regards to marketing men's suits. The attraction between Lizzy and James was there from the start but the hot and cold attitude of Lizzy got old quick. I didn't really connect or care about their relationship. They didn't feel like a good match. Also the drama towards the end was a bit too much and that didn't help the story for me either.

On the other hand, James was a very intriguing and great hero, I think I would've enjoyed reading about him in a different book and with a different heroine. He has gone through some very horrible things and does his best to take care of his younger brother. The scenes where he was in his natural environment were more interesting to me. The scenes where he was together with Lizzy, didn't grab me as much.

There are many books I read and loved by Katy Evans, especially her more emotional ones. But there are a couple of them I just won't pick up because I know I won't like it. It really is a matter of taste, and I should've known I wouldn't like this one. Honestly, Million Dollar Devil was just not my cup of tea. It was more on the light and fun side, and for me those reads are mostly a hit or miss. Unfortunately, it was a miss this time, and maybe I wasn't in the right mood. So please if this book sounds like something you would enjoy reading, then I definitely recommend you to pick it up.

I have mixed feeling about this book. This is also my first time reading a book by Katy. It started out pretty strong but then lost its momentum towards the end. I really loved James/Jimmy's character though! I really kept rooting for him.

**3.5 Stars**

I went into this book blind and was immediately intrigued with the story line and where the story would go. Unfortunately, something was kind of missing for me.

I struggled a lot in the first half of the book with staying invested in the story and I had a difficult time connecting with either of the main characters. I found that I enjoyed the second half of the book more, but still feel like this one missed the mark for me.

Oh my! I could not put this book down! I am an avid Katy reader, and this book is a true testament that she is just an amazing author.

These two characters suck you in from jump. You feel their emotions. Lizzy is trying to make her father proud, while trying to stand out and do something big on her own. Lizzy meets Jimmy, daredevil and the two have an instant connection. Lizzy wants to keep it professional but you can’t run from fate. The whole time you can feel the sparks from these two. When they come together you want to scream , Hallelujah! But the story twists and turns some more. The only negative I can say is I’m sad I’m all done.

Thank you netgalley for allowing me to read this advanced copy! It was the perfect book to snuggle up with on a cold winter night

James can read his woman like a book, “what you were thinking.” When I only stare, he adds, “Who’s the only one who’s going to see my half-waxed chest?” One black eyebrow is up in challenge." I loved James's bluntness, “tequila ain’t a real man’s drink?” I shake my head. “No wonder he doesn’t like to eff.” The man isnt one for giving up, “I’d be happier naked.” He grins. “YOU would be happier naked.” I liked this book, I fell in love with James.

Where do I begin with this? I really enjoy Katy Evans work but this book had me feeling some type of way throughout its entirety. I'm still on the fence about Lizzy. I could not stand her 95% of the book. She was such a snooty person. I mean I was disgusted with her behavior at times. On top of that she was lead by others in her society's way of thoughts and I didn't like that she could not just own her feelings and stand up for Jimmy. The things that she said along with her bestie, basically believing that if you don't come from money you are beneath them. You will never be good enough and calling Jimmy a freaking sewer rat...ugh. I was so frustrated. Jimmy should have left her in the dust instead of giving her the benefit of the doubt. Now Jimmy, I refuse to call him James since that is not who he really was. He was awesome, he had a killer personality, and just seemed like a roundabout guy. That's why it was so hard for me to fathom why he would keep giving Lizzy chances. I can honestly say that Lizzy did not deter me from loving this book. It was a really enjoyable read and once I started I couldn't wait to see how this would all work out in the end. I think this is one of the first books of this author that I absolutely didn't love her heroine!!

I really struggled to finish this one. The premise is a good one, and I thought I would be all over it, but honestly didn’t really care for either character, and I ended up skimming the last half of the book., 2 stars.

I was so excited to get this book, as I loved Her Manwhore series. But this has that same feel as her Real series and I was not a fan. This hero has that Remy like cave man mentality and it was such a turn off. The heroine melts into a puddle of mush every time he seems to grunt some response.

I ended up skipping over pages, desperate just to get to the end.

Million Dollar Devil was such a great read. I absolutely loved James (Jimmy) character. Elizabeth (Lizzy) was a good character, but James character made this story. His character was entertaining, charming, seductive, sexy, handsome, enjoyable and unstoppable to a fault. His character made me smile a lot. Lizzy was determined to take charge and find the perfect man to represent Banks Suits. James is that man and although he isn't from Lizzy's "world" he turns out to be even better than she imagined. He shows her what she's been missing and he is everything she never expected. Their story is one that's charming and entertaining but it also has drama, blackmailing and so much more.

Loved it! This is James and Lizzy book, Lizzy works at her father's men's clothing company and strives to take over one day but she needs to hire the perfect man for a new clothing line! Every hot model, actor etc. Turns her down! She ends up at a dive bar at her wits end! In walks James! He's a YouTube daredevil sensation! He's ruggedly handsome and nothing like the normal men they choose but Lizzy gets a great idea to make him into the perfect man! This book was really funny, some lighthearted drama, sweet and hot! I definitely recommend reading this one! It's well worth the read! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!
