Jimmy Rowan’s name is synonymous with danger and excitement. Well amongst his YouTube fans anyway. He has gained a strong following by taking on dare’s for cash. His younger brother Charlie captures it all on video and they upload it to their channel following. Charlie is all he has left of his family that was taken from them in a tragic accident. Jimmy’s focus in life is to be a good role model for his brother and make sure he has a good upbringing.

When Jimmy walks into his local bar after completing yet another dare, his eye is caught up in an intense exchange with a very uptight, prissy but beautiful woman. A woman who makes an interesting case about why he needs to talk to her. She has a proposition, one that seems to good to be true.

Elizabeth Banks is being groomed to one day take over her family couture business. She has spent her entire career trying to make her father proud, to prove to him that she has what it takes. She is assigned the tough job of finding the ‘face’ of their new clothing line and after being knocked back by every well known, good looking person on her list she finds herself at a seedy bar, with her eyes set on Jimmy Rowan.

Initially Jimmy is very skeptical but the possibility of how the money being offered could change not just his life but Charlie’s too is what has him reluctantly agreeing. And the fact that he thinks Lizzy is beautiful and he plans to one day have her. Thus begins the rebirth of Jimmy to James. For the next few months he will be groomed and schooled on how to act and behave like a gentleman. No one can know where he really came from, he has the looks and charisma that Lizzy has been looking for.

‘I’ve never been come on to by a guy who tells it like it is in the way this devil does. It’s infuriatingly sexy, and it makes me want to negotiate with my body.’

Here’s the thing though, Jimmy may feel like a bit of fraud pretending to be someone he isn’t but Lizzy hasn’t come to the self realization that she too is doing the same thing with her own life. She can’t be who she wants to be because she is craving the acceptance of her dad, doing and being what he wants her to be. If she was really honest with herself she would see that she is not truly living.

‘I don’t know what it is about this guy that affects me so much. Maybe it’s because he’s daring, unique, and not afraid to be himself. Or maybe because my whole life I’ve tried to be perfect and never really bought into the act. And yet when I’m with him, I don’t feel like I have to play at anything at all. I can simply be me.’

Spending time with Jimmy is a truly humbling experience for Lizzy, he is kind, compassionate and values his family above everything else. She prejudged him the first time they met and now she is realising that he is the kind of man she could easily fall, but not one her father would ever approve of. Tell that to her heart though…

Being in Lizzy’s world initially was a bit of fun for Jimmy but the impact of being around such fake people and the glamour that comes with it has been affecting him. He has changed and it takes a confronting experience to realise that he was never meant for this world, or this girl.

This is a fun and sexy read from Katy Evans. I loved the slow burn and verbal foreplay between these two.

‘I’ve never met a human being that made me feel as alive - as perfect even with my flaws… as seen… as happy… as free - as him.’

Million Dollar Devil was a fun, sexy read. I found the hero so enchanting and likable that the heroine suffered a bit by comparison. Then I remembered Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady and how much he grew throughout the story, and Richard Gere's Edward in Pretty Woman. Then I started to look for signs of the heroine's growth. I really appreciated the wit and humor that flowed through Katy Evans' dialogue. It redeemed the characters. I ended up enjoying the journey to happily ever after, and I would read more from Ms Evans.
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.

I always know when I pick up a book by Katy Evans I am not going to be disappointed. Million Dollar Devil is a fun flirty romance I couldn’t put down. I love Elizabeth and Jimmy's chemistry.

Elizabeth wants her father’s acceptance and to impress him. She is a socialite and an heiress to the family company Banks LTD. For her failure is not an option. She is given the job of finding the face for the new men’s line and is having a hard time. The perfect man is out there but it’s tuff finding him. She comes across Jimmy and he is perfect for the job once she works her magic on him.

Jimmy is rough around the edges and a daredevil. The more time they spend together the harder it is to control the chemistry between them. He makes her feel alive and she shows him the real her.

If you are looking for a flirty romance this is the book for you. Grab your copy of Million Dollar Devil!

Million Dollar Devil is a Slow Burn standalone romance, with an interesting premise that reminds me of the classic Hollywood movies, Pygmalion and My Fair Lady. The difference being it’s a woman making a guttersnipe into a gentleman, all in order to win her father’s approval and prove she has what it takes to take over the family business. There are a few moments that pull at the heartstrings, but overall it’s a lighthearted and fast read.

Elizabeth Banks is the only daughter of Harold Banks, the owner of Banks LTD. She’s an heiress that’s had everything handed to her by her overprotective, wealthy father after her mother abandoned them when Elizabeth was four years old. Now twenty-five, she wants to prove to Harold she can handle the new line of suits they’re going to launch. All Elizabeth needs is a spokesperson, the perfect model that represents the ideal Banks man. So far, all the men she had in mind have turned her down, and she’s a little desperate.

Jimmy Rown is a YouTube daredevil star with over two hundred thousand followers. He’ll do just about anything they want him to do, as long as the price is right. Jimmy’s raising his thirteen year old brother, Charlie, ever since their parents and sister died. The two brothers are close, Charlie’s his cameraman and he looks after him.

When Elizabeth wanders into a bar and sees Jimmy, she knows she’s found the man she was looking for. Everyone has a price, and Jimmy’s is one million dollars. Elizabeth agrees, with a long list of rules James, as he’s now known as, must follow. And as she tells him, it’s all business.

“Most women want to change their men for personal reasons. This is professional. Strictly professional. All for the job.”

But Jimmy has other ideas; he’s quite taken with Elizabeth and decides they need to see what it can lead to, even if she doesn’t agree.

“Hell, I’m not pretending to be the perfect man. I am her perfect man. And I’m bewitched. I see her heart and own her soul. She lets me have whatever I want. Gives me everything I’ll ever need.”

There’s a lot riding on Elizabeth’s transformation of James. No one can know where he’s really from; they need to think he’s to the manor born, as they say. Especially her dad, so much depends on his approval. She won’t let anything, or anyone, get in her way.

“I polished a diamond, and now it’s flawless. Perfect. But it’s not mine to keep. He is not mine to keep.”

Elizabeth Banks, "Little Miss perfect" has seemed to have met her match on that one fateful day at a dive bar while feeling racked with desperation. Trying not to disappoint her father, while striving to become CEO of the family business. She makes a crazy business decision that could either make or break her career. James, Mister I will do anything for a dare. Although, built like a god. Does not fit her mold. He is unkempt, unwealthy, and not properly educated in all things high class. He accepts a lucrative business offer from Lizzie, but he does not make things easy.
Not quick to fall in line. He tests Lizzie's patience in business, and in private. James, and Lizzie are total opposites when it comes to business and money, but there undeniable attraction for each other is very much the same. Lizzie needs a little bit of unkempt testosterone in her life to help her let her hair down, and James needs a little "Perfection" in his life to help him realize what he has been missing. They may be total opposites in life, but somehow they seem to fit together like a glove.
Once again Katy Evans has created another page turning masterpiece. This author knows how to make you feel like you are a part of the stories she writes. I can't wait to read the next part of this installment.

I was so glad to hear Ms. Evans was coming out with this new series. I appreciated the fresh story line: Lizzy always trying to please her father, must find the new face for their companies new clothing line. She stumbles across Jimmy, a daredevil/ brawler from the wrong side of the tracks. Through the ups and downs I loved the transformation from Jimmy to James. The epilogue was short and left me wanting more of these two. I hope we get to catch up with them throughout the series.

Katy Evans has done it again, a new man to fall for, James ‘Jimmy’ Rowan! If I could bring a book boyfriend to life it be him. Hot, sexy, cocky, kind, tough and funny. The perfect package with dimples.

I had a hard time putting this book down. It’s the tale of the Uptown girl meets downtown man, which was a first for me, it’s normally the other way around. From the second Lizzy and James meet, I was fanning myself, the sexual tension was high! I love the banter between them. I couldn’t wait for them to finally given in.

I Love this book hard!!!! Malcom Saint just got some big competition!

Trying to prove her worth at her father's suit company, Lizzy is desperate to find the perfect model. But when opportunity presents itself in the form of Jimmie, she can't resist. Taking a YouTube daredevil and turning him into the perfect model is hard, but when the heart gets involved, it makes it even harder. I loved these two so much. Jimmie and Lizzy are the personification of opposites attracting and it's a heck of a ride when the come together. I'm excited to read more from Katy Evans.

I loved Lizzy and James! Lizzy Banks wants to be perfect for her father, so she can be the CEO of Banks LTD. They are a men’s clothing line and she is tasked with coming up with their next “face”. She can find no one and ends up on a bar on the wrong side of the tracks where she meets YouTube sensation Jimmy Rowan, who will do anything for a dare. He is raising his little 14 year old brother alone. Lizzy dares him his biggest dare to date. Become James Rowan, cover model fro Banks LTD. He does. Can these two overcome their obstacles? Will Lizzy’s father accept her new creation? Can James be the “perfect” man? Get ready for a great ride! Katy Evans has created your new book boyfriend, James Rowan, million dollar devil that he is! 5 stars

Million Dollar Devil is the first book in the Million Dollar series by Katy Evans. The main characters are Lizzy and James. Lizzy is looking for a man to be the face of the new suit line her father's company is making and James makes Youtube videos where people dare him for like 500 bucks to do stuff and he does them.

My favorite hero from Katy Evans is Remy and James is no Remy material. He is the complete opposite. After a fight, he and Lizzy had he went on a business meeting and one of the women there was putting her hand on his tight and later on his erect cock and he allowed her to do that for the whole duration of the business meeting/dinner. Is that book boyfriend material? Having the "hero" of the story get horny after he allows another woman to touch him at 83% of the book? I don't think so. The book was mediocre at best before that and after that, it was a lost cause for me. The main characters were uninteresting and James barely spent any time with his brother which was weird. I was not happy with the book.

Lizzy and James have their unique slow burn love story. We do not see a lot story when rich girl fells for poor single parent figure. That is exactly what happens in the book. Lizzy is full of daddy issues, James with baggage from the past but somehow they connect on deeper level and can see the best that lies underneath all hidden layers. Story was not perfect but nevertheless very enjoyable hot romantic and daring.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

I really enjoyed Million Dollar Devil. Jimmy is a handful. It was so hard to take him seriously at times but I loved how persistent he was with Elizabeth. It was endearing at times. I give Lizzy credit for her valiant effort in trying to keep Jimmy at a distance but she was fighting a losing battle from day one. I admire her though for trying to keep things professional. Their banter was hilarious yet sexy at the same time. The connection between them just bled from the pages. Katy Evans did an awesome job with this one. I loved everything about it.

Million Dollar Devil features Lizzy Banks, a top executive for her family's menswear company. When working on a new campaign, does she find the model to secure her business success or the man of her dreams? This is a solid romantic story. There is character development and steamy romance. Thanks Montlake and NetGalley for the ARC of this title.

I loved this story. 2 completely different people, 2 people closed off in their own worlds not really living to the whole extent. It was so much fun to see how they both grew and loved towards the future.

After I read the synopsis of Million Dollar Devil, I knew it was a book I wanted to review, not only because Katy Evans is one of my go to authors, but also because I love the fact that the story’s heroine, Elizabeth ‘Lizzy’ Banks is the one who comes from money and is the woman in charge/soon-to-be in charge of a lucrative business in a male dominated field.

It’s clear that Lizzy will stop at nothing to prove herself to her father and acquire his approval, something that doesn’t seem to occur easily or often, which means that she’ll do whatever it takes, even if it means selling her soul to the devil and turning a sexy and daring man into her vision of male perfection, even if it’s only for the sake of appearance and Lizzy’s desperate need to make her father believe in her.

The fact that Lizzy wants to change James into the perfect model for her company’s new men’s line, polishing his rough edges so he fits the image she needs and then falls for the perfect package he becomes was a bit problematic for me simply because the main reason for her altering his outward persona is so she can prove to her father just how capable she is to run the company and dominate in an industry ruled by men. Also, because both Lizzy and James seem focused on superficial things - for her, it’s her desperate need of approval and for him, it’s to smooth talk his way into Lizzy’s pants.

Once Lizzy and James’ relationship starts to become about so much more than her career and his attraction to her, it was much easier to connect with the story and its characters, especially when readers found out about James’ past and why he chooses to live the way that he does. What also made things more tangible for me when it came to Lizzy and James’ burgeoning relationship is the fact that Evans started truly showing who her two characters are at their core. In my opinion, a story resonates with readers when they can relate to the hero and heroine and the struggles they face throughout the plot line, and while I didn’t feel like much of this was explored in the first half of the book, once I made into the middle of the text, I became much more invested and couldn’t wait to see when Lizzy and James finally gave into their desires for each other and what that meant for their respective future careers.

Despite the areas of the story line that I struggled with at times, I enjoyed seeing how everything played out with the consummate professional and the devilish beast she looks to transform a suave gentleman, but I do have to say that I quite liked James’ beastly side, especially when exuding sexuality and risking it all is exactly what he needs to do to claim the woman he wants.

I have mixed feelings about this one, even though I usually enjoy most of Katy's books I find myself struggling with this one!I think the premise of the story was interesting and super sexy like all her books!Seriously it was hot. However I couldn't connect with the heroine. This was very easy to read and fast paced!

3.5 ‘Devil’s dare’ Stars!
ARC provided by the author via Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review.

I am always ready for whatever this lady writes and Million Dollar Devil did sound right up my alley. I mean a sexy YouTube daredevil making a heiress to a fortune and business fall in love not with the perfect guy she has created but the actual man inside of that? Sounds great, right? And it surely was entertaining and sexy, as any word written by Katy Evans.

Million Dollar Devil is a standalone romance and in Katy’s new series called Million Dollar. As far as I can see, you can actually read this as a standalone because the next book is about another couple. This one focuses on Lizzy Banks, a woman decided to proof her worth at becoming the CEO of the family business to her cold father, and James Rowan, a Youtube influencer that is not afraid of dares in order to help the short family he has. And who can refuse becoming a perfect gentleman when you get a million dollar deal? Well, James and Lizzy got more than they expected.

I’ve fallen in love with my own creation. I polished a diamond, and now it’s flawless. Perfect. But it’s not mine to keep.
He is not mine to keep.

I was hooked after reading that short but intense prologue. It got me curious about the plot, these two characters and their story together. However, I do have to say it actually did take me a while to connect with Lizzy and James. Lizzy seems a bit superficial to me in the first half of the book, really focused on her father’s opinion and on changing James. James also seems a man mostly focused on getting in Lizzy’s pants. Finally, when we start learning on James’ past and the feelings they start having for each other, I got more into the story. In the end, I quite enjoyed Million Dollar Devil as a whole (especially the second half when the chemistry exploded and emotions started showing between Lizzy and James).

I need her to fall FOR ME.
I need her to know that she’s mine.

Therefore, my rating for Million Dollar Devil is 3.5 STARS because it was a fast-paced, entertaining story that I quite enjoyed. I definitely can assure you though that Katy Evans has written so much better stories (such as Real and the White House series). Still, I enjoyed this love story and the chemistry between James and Lizzy, especially what developed in the second half of the book. And of course, I am interested in reading the second book in the series after meeting Luke.

I've read several books from this author, and she's usually hit or miss with me. I don't know what it is but sometimes she can knock it out of the park. Then there are times, like this one, where the story never really came together for me. I just really expected more than this.
I never connected with Lizzy. She grated my nerves from the beginning, and just never stopped. James was ok but he never held my interest the way I like the heroes too.
Even though I did finish this one, the main reason for my rating is my issues with the story itself. There was this conflict "situation" that I thought was not handled right. It didn't help the story any in my opinion. Then one of the things I hate the most, the ending was rushed. It needs to play and wrap the story up, and this one just didn't.
