The first book in The Redemption Chronicles, Born in Darkness is a great read. A kickass urban fantasy with a no-nonsense, strong heroine, a well written, action driven storyline. This is definitely one I will be looking forward to reading more of and recommending to others

Thank you to Author Collective 20, for an arc of this book.
I will admit that when I started this book, I thought it was going to be a mushy love story with a bit of action, and I was wrong., not about the action about the mushy part, and what a great twist that I did not see coming.
A nice light enjoyable read, have the second one already lined up to read.

I intended to kill him—to avenge my sister by destroying the vile human who’d tortured and broken her. My plan was simple. Foolproof. Except somehow I ended up dead. Now the joke’s on me, because I’ve been resurrected as an assassin and given a choice: Fight the forces of darkness and redeem myself or refuse and suffer an eternity of torment. When I started reading I couldn't put it down. J. Kenner is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can't wait for the next book.

To be completely honest, I read this book previously years ago when it was first published under a different name. I read so darn much and so fast, I can’t remember very much of the books I’ve read years ago, but I do remember I liked it. So, when I read the description, it didn’t seem familiar to me, but since I remember I liked it, I decided to give it a go. Wow! It was as great as I remember! The writing is terrific, the plot is unique, and I was engrossed from the minute I started it. I only have a very vague sense of remembering so it was like reading it for the first time. I am so glad I read this again (I generally don’t like rereading books because there’s just so much to read!), and I can’t wait to read the next ones. I do have to warn readers that this is a little dark but worth every second. I do highly recommend this book to fans of urban fantasy who like a tiny bit of romance! I was provided the e-book which I voluntarily reviewed.
