Wow!! This is absolutely brilliant and completely gripping! When I read the blurb before starting the book I was so confused….but that is all part of what makes this book brilliant! I can honestly say that I read through this and had no chance of guessing what was going to happen. When I thought I’d sussed something out, a huge twist would happen and I was back to square one!

I’m not going to say anything about the plot as I don’t want to give anything away…..starting this book with just the blurb is most definitely the way to do it!

All I will say is that it is honestly brilliant, and so clever! I found it really easy to read, and despite the twists and turns I was able to keep up with the storyline. I was thoroughly gripped and really didn’t want to put it down!

This book absolutely lives up to its name and you won’t be disappointed!!! if you’re looking for your next thriller, and love a twisty, turny book that will keep you on your toes then you need to be reading Twisted!

Oh Wow. I really enjoyed Th1rt3en so this was a must read for me and if it’s possible I think I enjoyed this one even more. Twisted is called Twisted for a reason… I have seen so much hype about this story and it got me so excited to read it…

Twisted is a page turner of a read, you really won’t want to put it down. It is a brilliantly written story which is fast paced. It keeps the reader guessing throughout and on the edge of your seat. It drags the reader in straight away with a message from the author… Thrilling, gripping, intriguing and twisted!

I awarded a well deserved four stars and would highly recommend. It is a standalone book. Perfect!

Who is J. T. LeBeau?

Omg, what can I say? Twisted certainly lived up to its name and is worth every one of the gushing reviews I’ve seen leading up to its publication. I was thrilled to be invited to take part in the blog tour for this book and I’m happy to say it more than lived up to my expectations.

Every time I thought I’d worked it all out I suddenly realised that no I really, really hadn’t. In fact, as I sat there all smug at my amazing detective skills, I was blindsided by yet another twist that made me literally shout out loud!

To say too much would do a disservice to this brilliant book, as the less you know about it going in the better.

An outstanding and mind blowing thriller that deserves all the stars I could possibly give it. Look out for my full review as part of the blog tour very soon.

I downloaded this thinking it was a new addition to the Eddie Flynn series, so was disappointed to see that it was not. However, I will read anything Steve Cavanaugh writes (big fan!), and we will buy this one for our library. Thanks!

Oh my word! Never in the history of literature has a book been so appropriately titled! I abandoned my reading schedule to make room for Twisted on the strength of a review from a fellow blogger and I was not disappointed. I will admit that it took me some time to get to grips with who was who and what exactly was happening, but once I did, I was completely mesmerised. There were a few moments when I was thought I had everything figured out, only for the rug to be pulled swiftly out from under my feet.

The novel switches scenes with each chapter  and the chapters are fairly short, which makes Twisted a very fast paced read. There is violence and bloodshed and gunshots to keep the reader on their toes, especially as I was never quite sure how things would turn out. The tension never relented and I was hooked the whole way through.

My jaw is still on the floor from the ending. It will take something special for me to forget this book.

I am not going to lie - this was a book that I actively had to stop myself from reading too early, in my little TBR queue; it just sounded SO GOOD, and SO UP MY ALLEY that I could not HELP but want to tackle it ASAP. Turns out, I was very, very right for thinking that way, because this book is TERRIFIC.

This book is so delightfully unique and as someone who reads as many thrillers as I do, finding unique in format, story or outcome is a bit like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. There is a puzzle within a puzzle in this one, and where it takes you is legitimately un-guessable. It is like Steve decided to take a bit of the piss out of the entire genre, but manages to do so while still creating the most captivating psychological thriller you could hope for. Personally, I read this genre because I love to escape into a story (so anything really goes for me) and this book had me up well into the wee hours of the night scrambling to get to the end, because let’s face it, I wasn’t going to be able to sleep with this one dangling.

NOW here is the thing about this book - you cannot know any details, hints or have any ideas of what is to come when you start it. If you did, it would most certainly take away from the experience as a whole, so the above is as much as I can say without being a terrible reviewer and taking that experience away from you. Does this add to the mystery of the book? Probably. Is that part of the perfection of this book? Absolutely.

What you need to know as a reader, is that this book is mind blowingly, unpridicatably, impossible to put down mayhem, and if you want a thriller to mix up your reading slump, THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU. I don’t think this will be the book for everyone, but this book is going to have readers talking, mark my words. I loved every single page, and quite frankly, I can’t wait to read it a second time.

Get a copy of this one friends, and then clear your schedule, shut off your phone and prepare to get lost in the thriller of the summer that will leave you reeling.

Steve Cavanagh has created a tense psychological thriller that lives up to it’s name by being both twisted and full of twists.

This is a stand-alone novel, but there is a little reference to another Steve Cavanagh character for those who have read his novels before.

The mystery of who JT LeBeau is and why he is so determined to stay hidden takes many twists and turns throughout the book so I couldn’t put the book down. There were many characters who you don’t know if they can be trusted and what their motives are.

This is a book I am not quite sure what I can say about this to you without actually talking about the story in this book!

So with all the hype, did I really think it was going to live up to the expectations? Erm….well yes I did! The opening chapter is a scene that is the “present day” and then you are taken back four months ago. In these four months, you think you get to a stage where you have “worked” it out, but like its namesake, you would be wrong with the twists. So ok, you reset yourself and what you know, with what you think you know. It is then like a being on an episode of Catchphrase and getting a wrong answer, that buzzer sound was going off in my head, with the phrase “Survey says” no, no chance, try again! And on it goes.

When we get back to “present day” you re-read the opening chapter and it all has a completely different take the second time around, did I have a light bulb moment, yes, YES I DID! Was I right? Kind of. Were there more twists to be thrown at me? Bloody hell, it is like a never-ending corkscrew! I think Linda Blair’s head in Exorcist may have twisted around just as much!! The ending dealt a final blow that took my breath away.

WOW LOVED IT

I found the writing so easy to get lost in, and if I did not have to do adulting then this would easily be a book I read in one sitting if I was given the chance to. It was easy to get to enjoy the scenery of Port Lonely, not that I ever want to go there!

I loved the pacing of this book, I never felt that this was dragging in any place because when the action did calm down a little bit, you were on edge trying to anticipate what would happen next. Like a chess match, you are always trying to anticipate your opponents next month and at the same time plan your next five.

Well, Mr J.T. LeBeau, you got me, checkmate!

After reading author Steve Cavanagh's smash hit of 2018, Thirteen, I was looking forward to his new novel Twisted with high hopes. As the title suggests, it really is a twisted rollercoaster of a ride and one I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending. A departure from Cavanagh's successful Eddie Flynn series, this new book is a standalone read.

J.T. LeBeau is one of the world's most loved thriller writers. Sales of his books are through the roof. But here's the strange thing - no one knows who he is. He writes under a pseudonym and with great skill; always managing to throw in a killer twist. So why does he shun the limelight and adoration? The answer is. . . well . . . twisted!

Phew, what a great tension-filled read! Right from the outset the pacing is frantic and doesn't let up until the very end. J.T. LeBeau is a fantastic creation and I so enjoyed the direction the author took him - a brilliant but warped mind indeed! The plot is akin to a game of cat-and-mouse with protagonist, and less successful author, Paul Cooper frantically trying to outmanoeuvre the cunning and devilish LeBeau.

An entertaining and suspenseful read. Go buy it right now!

Never have I read a book where the title suited a story as well as TWISTED by Steve Cavanagh. Dark, gripping, and completely unpredictable, this is a thriller with a difference and I could not put it down.

I am really struggling to write the review for this one because I don't want to give any spoilers so it is next to impossible to give my usual rundown of the plot. But it is safe to say that this book hit all the right marks for me when it came to setting and character development. The plot is unlike anything that I have read before and to say I was blindsided numerous times is an understatement. When I turned the last page I honestly sat staring at my kindle for a while, simply trying to comprehend what the hell had just happened and how it had happened. And then I quickly went online to order Steve Cavanagh's other books because this writer is a genius.

TWISTED is everything you could want in a crime fiction/thriller novel with plenty of gritty secrets and lies to sink your teeth into as you try to piece the truth together (I didn't have it sussed even though I thought I did!). Definitely a must-read for readers of this genre and hopefully one that will play out on our tv screens sometime soon!

Twisted, a perfect title for this book! A great read.
J.T. Lebeau is a famous author, but no one knows who he/she is.
Maria Cooper is unhappily married to her husband Paul who is always working away. She starts an affair and plans to leave Paul for Daryl. Then they uncover a secret and everything changes. The fallout from the discovery is huge, and the story turns on its head halfway through the book which is a brilliant twist.
Yet more twists and turns follow and whilst we finally discover who Lebeau is, the tale is far from over!
Very cleverly written and kept me enthralled to the end.

Loved, loved, loved this book. It took me a few chapters, but when the first twist happened, I was completely hooked. Characters were fabulously developed, twists galore and fabulous writing.
Thanks for the opportunity to read and re I’ve, thus us one I’ll definitely be recommending!

Standalone novel with more twists than fusilli pasta! Cavanagh's latest offering will bend your brain until the bitter end. A fast-paced rollercoaster ride of a read.

Thank you to netgalley, Orion and Steve Cavanagh for the arc in exchange for an honest review. This was my first Steve Cavanagh book, and it wont be my last. This book was unpredictable, and so cleverly written. This was a quick read for me because I just wanted to keep going to see what would happen next.
Great story, and really enjoyed this book.

I’ve got to say, how enticing is that blurb? Yes yes, it tells you virtually nothing about the story but everything you need to know about what’s in store as you read Twisted! The hashtag that is being used in the marketing #ThisBookIsTwisted sums the book up perfectly!

I really don’t want to say very much about Twisted for fear of spoiling one helluva book. It keeps on giving with the twists. Just as I thought I’d figured it out, boom Steve Cavanagh throws a fresh curve ball into the mix. I spent most of the book stunned with what was unfolding before me.

I love Steve Cavanagh’s writing. Both Twisted and his Eddie Flynn series (yes Eddie is name-checked in Twisted, I can say that much) are addictive reads. Cavanagh has a way of kidnapping me as a reader and taking into the world he has created. I love to live and breathe his characters’ situations waiting with baited breath to see what will happen next. Twisted is one incredible rollercoaster of a book and I for one loved it.

Twisted.

J. T. LeBeau is the mysterious bestseller crime thriller author, everyone knows his books, but no one knows who he is.
Or do they?

Murder and mystery, twists and turns like you wouldn't believe. Just when you think you have it all figured out, it twists again. Kept me on my toes the whole time.

A great book full of twists and turns. The plot runs along at a whip fast pace, the ending itself was a complete surprise to me too! Brilliant, fast, shocking and equally transfixing.

This is one of those books that totally fulfil their title; Twisted!
Since the beginning I was totally glued to this story, without knowing who to trust or what to believe, we will be introduced to a not happy marriage with a lot of secrets between them. Maria, an egocentric woman who has an affair, will discover that her husband has hidden a big secret from her since the beginning, and she decides to shake him a little bit and see what happens next… I didn’t like Maria at all, she likes to lie and always gets what she wants no matter what, so be prepared for a twisted character that will not have an ounce of empathy in her heart.
Paul is the husband, he is not who everybody think he is, but he has a motive to hide his past, everyone that tries to discover the truth appears dead, so better keep the secret hiden, don’t you think?
Then we have the mysterious author J.T. LeBeau, the one writing the book that has advised since the first page that you should not believe a word written on it! I am sure that your first thought is I have to read it right now!
This is a book full of stories inside one, and the reader will have to discover which one to follow and to believe, which character to believe or which one to doubt, there are so many twists that it will be difficult to follow the truth.
I have to admit this book was totally a surprise to me, the way it is written and explained kept me invested on the story since the beginning. Original, full of twists and surprised, I can not stop to recommend you reading Twisted.

I thought this book was different to others I have read and quite fast paced. I liked the story line and idea of it and It certainly was twisted. It had lots of twists and turns and made me wonder what was going to happen next.
It was a little far fetched and over the top but I enjoyed that and it kept me interested and wanting to know what was going to happen next.

Another fantastic book by the author of what is arguably the greatest crime thriller of the past few years, Thirteen. Cavanagh is a true master of a fast-paced and well thought out plot that keeps you guessing right to the very end. Though the plot twist comes a little early, the aftermath of its reveal is well-crafted and highly tense, leaving the reader guessing as to how the story will conclude. Unfortunately I don't think Cavanagh is yet to top the masterpiece that is Thirteen, however Twisted is still a great read for fans of a clever crime thriller.
