Found in the depths of my Kindle, this is an escape to Paris for the Summer.

This unlikely friendship comes at a time where both women at crossroads of their lives but both needing the space and adventure.

I did find this slow to start with the first half but soon picked up in the second half.

A great summer read.

An enjoyable light read with likeable main characters - Grace and Audrey. Both of the characters ended up in Paris for different reasons and build a lovely friendship helping each other, even though there is an age gap. I would recommend this book .

A lovely novel that makes you want to get a job in a Parisian Bookshop - even if you can't speak French yet!

This is a charming book that isn't the kind of book that I would normally read, but very enjoyable nonetheless. It's the perfect, light-hearted tonic that I would want from any romance novel.

A fantastic read.Grace thinks she has a happy marriage with David but when he admits to having an affair after 25 years of being together she is naturally heartbroken, and as she had booked them a month in Paris for their anniversary she takes the unusual decision to go alone. What happens when she is there Is everything you would want in a story its funny, romantic and also poignant at time and her friendship with Audrey a young girl she meets on her first day there is really beautiful. I loved this book and it's a well deserved 5 stars o

An enjoyable easy read. A lovely story of family, love and friendship. I have never been to Paris but this book has made me feel that I should perhaps plan a trip there to experience it for myself.

I love Sarah Morgan's books. I've read a few from her before and always enjoyed them. However, I just didn't get the same feelings from this one as I have from her others. The writing style is obviously really good, I love Sarah's writing but the characters just didn't do it for me. The storyline let me down a little as well. Overall, it was okay. But, not one of my favourites from Sarah unfortunately

I am such a massive fan of Sarah Morgan. I think I’ve read all but maybe one of her books but I have to say this one just didn’t work for me. It didn’t feel like her brand of feel good writing and I just didn’t feel that I connected or cared about the characters that much. It was maybe just a me thing rather than a book thing but it just didn’t feel like classic Sarah Morgan for me. I will still always be such a massive fan of her writing though and encourage you to check out her books for yourself as I think you’ll love a lot of them!

Sarah Morgan is back on top form with One Summer in Paris. I wanted to tumble into the pages and become part of the friendship between Grace and Audrey. The relationship between them both is lovely to watch blossoming into a close friendship. It’s even more special due to the difference in ages. The setting of Paris in the Spring/Summer is perfect. Sarah Morgan’s descriptions are so evocative of days spent wandering around Paris’s streets - for anyone lucky enough to have visited. The descriptions of food! My stomach was often rumbling loudly while reading this book. I had to stop myself from immediately running to the fridge to find some nice cheese, olives, chutney and freshly baked bread, to go with a nice bottle of red.
I am hoping Sarah Morgan may (please!) turn this into a series similar to other books she has written with recurring characters, so we can revisit the characters who begin to feel like good friends.

With thanks to NetGalley and HQ for the opportunity to read this ARC, in return for an honest and unbiased review.

Loved this book and how it told the story of two different people on different paths and times in their lives who came together in the same location and became friends. Heartwarming and lovely book to read

Lovely, well written feel good book set in the wonderfully romantic city of Paris - a little bit cheesy and predictable, but an enjoyable read none the less. Many thanks to netgalley for an arc in return for my honest opinion.

Who wouldn't love this book!? The characters make you feel you are part of their lives, you experience their highs and lows just as you would in your own lives with the hope that the ending would turn out well for them, after all a fairy tale always does doesn't it? Set in wonderful Paris this is a fabulous book, humorous, poignant and a true reflection of modern life. A great read - highly recommended.

Sarah Morgan at her best! Funny, sad, love, travelling, friends, all rolled in into one. Grab the wine and nibbles and prepare to be whisked away to Paris, and see what comes along.

Loved this book- felt that there was a lot more “depth” to this than others written by the same author. The friendship between the older and younger women was nice, and it was refreshing to have a relationship that didn’t just end.

#OneSummerInParis #NetGalley

I think I was swayed by the fact Sarah Morgan is a Sunday Times bestseller and such any novel she writes would be a delightful read.

One Summer In Paris tells the story of Grace a middle age woman who’s husband leaves her for her babysitter and Audrey a young teenage who’s mother is an alcoholic and pretty much leaves Audrey to raise herself.

The story has such great promise; for each character to find themselves. To really understand their wants and needs. Where they learn from their past experience and grow into better people from the heartache.

Unfortunately Grace appears as a cop out she takes her husband back after his cheating ways. He does nothing to provide himself or even show how great a mistake he made taking her for granted. It all but appears that he asked and she granted. Audrey’s story seems to take a back seat in comparison to Grace.
