Great book again from Lisa Hall, Left you not wanting to put the book down until you find our what happened to Laurel.

Have you seen her brilliantly describes the content of this twisty thriller. Little laurel is at a fireworks display with her mum Fran and her nanny Anna when she vanishes without a trace. This is undoubtably every parents worst nightmare and I was emotionally invested from page one, hoping laurel would be found.

The story is told from Anna's perspective who was very attached to Laurel and in some ways has replaced her parents role as they were always so busy and didn't spend much time with their child. Anna is devasted by Lauren's disappearance but she has a secret from her past. One she has worked hard to cover up. . Can this have anything to do with Laurels disappearance?

Laurels mum ,Fran is very distant and self absorbed .she is enstranged from her close family and seems to have few friends. Her husband Dominic is a high flying doctor who seems more interested in his career than his family. Although to the outside world they are the golden couple who have the perfect marriage and lifestyle, there are major internal cracks unseen by the outside world. Fran and Dominic's relationship is volatile but could either of them be capable of being involved in Laurels disappearance?

I suspected each characters involvement throughout the book. I found it hard to have sympathy for laurels parents as I found them both unlike able and self absorbed something I disliked and found unimaginable as a parent myself. Personally I found the book had a slow beginning but I was glad I keep reading as the tense storyline crept up a notch. The final twist at the end of the book was one I had guessed but nevertheless was breathtaking.

A story full of hidden secrets which will have the reader gripped by the tense emotional storyline. Thank you to the publishers and Netgalley for my chance to read this brilliant book.

I have just finished reading this book, and am quite disappointed with it. Unfortunately, the plot had quite a few inconsistencies, and random things thrown into it, which made it now flow very well. This is just my opinion as others seem to have really enjoyed it.

This book took me by surprise I had though it would be just another missing child psychological thriller and I have read quite a few but this was actually different from the norm with lots of hints at just what might be going on making it a compulsive page turner. I loved the way the characters were written as some were so self absorbed and not at all likeable it was easy to suspect them but this book has twists and so be warned not all is as it seems. A well written, great ending and plausible plot made it an excellent read from start to finish and well recommended.
My thanks to NetGalley, Lisa Hall and HQ for giving me the chance to read the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion

Anna only takes her eyes off Laurel for a second, she thought Laurel was following her mum through the crowds. In a heartbeat though Laurel is gone. Laurels parents are frantic, as is Anna their nanny. But as the hours and days lass and there’s still no sign of Laurel, suspicion grows. Someone knows what happened to Laurel and they’re not telling.

Another good book by Lisa Hall, although it was predictable as I had worked out the ending before I’d got there but it didn’t spoil the book for me in any way.

Many thanks to HQ and Netgalley for my advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

As always, Lisa Hall didn’t let me down. The book is addictive, you just can’t stop reading. You suspect everyone and don’t know the truth til the end. Very good plot, interesting characters. Highly recommend!

Anna only looked away for one tiny second but that second was all it took for little Laurel to vanish, without a trace.

Now Anna and Laurel's parents Fran and Dominic find themselves trapped in every parents worst nightmare.

As time passes and there is no trace of Laurel, suspicion grows and secrets and lies begin to surface.

Someone knows what happened to Laurel and they are not telling.

This enthralling story is told from the perspective of the nanny Anna. It is obvious that Anna adores young Laurel and is prepared to do everything in her power to uncover what has happened to her. But Anna also has a secret from her past that she is terrified will be uncovered once the police start digging into their lives.

Fran and Dominic were a materialistic, selfish couple who I found very unlikable and struggled to feel any sympathy for despite the nightmare that they were going through.

So many of the vivid, realistic characters were not who they appeared to be,came across as very sinister, untrustworthy and had hidden secrets. I suspected almost all of them as the story unfolded of having something to do with Laurel's disappearance.

Have You Seen Her is a mesmerising, gripping thriller that had me hooked in from very first page. I genuinely didn't want to put this fast paced, page turner down. After drawing you in with a Intreguing prologue, the story then hits the ground running at break neck speed. The reader is hardly given any chance to breath as you are launched from one twist to another until you get to the jaw dropping epilogue. Where you are left breathless and exhausted but very very disappointed that the thrill ride is over. I loved this well written thriller and would love to watch a film adaptation of this book. Worth far more than five stars and will definitely be one of my favourite reads of this year.

Thank you for allowing me to review.

I have read other books by this author, so read with high hopes. This book has a good storyline based around a missing child.

The story is centred around a young girl names Laurel who goes missing at a firework display despite being with her mother, Fran, and nanny, Anna. Once they realise little Laurel is missing a A desperate search begins and the police are called.

I found the book pretty slow to begin with and it felt like treading on old ground with other books that have focussed around this theme. However it was worth persevering as just before midway the book really ramped up.

There are many twists and turns, secrets and revelations in this book, all of which countributed to a fantastic read. I would recommend this book!

What a rollercoaster ride this story is. When little Laurel disappears at a bonfire event everyone is a suspect, Anna the nanny, Dominic the dad and Fran the mum as well as others. Lots of twists and turns along the way and it keeps you guessing until the end. Huge 5 stars.

Anna works as a nanny for Fran and Dominic to their daughter, Laurel. Laurel disappears at a Bonfire event and everyone is under scrutiny. Anna has her own secrets as do the parents. Will Laurel come home or not?

I love Lisa’s books and was so excited to receive this arc but the only downside was this was a tiny bit predictable. It didn’t detract from my enjoyment but I could tell how it was going to end. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley, HQ General Fiction (Adult), Mystery and Thrillers and Lisa Hall for my ARC in return for my honest review.

This is not the first Lisa Hall novel I have read and I will be seeking out more. I love her style of writing and always seemed to be glued to the page when reading her books.

A young girl, Laurel, goes missing at a firework display despite being with her mother, Fran, and nanny, Anna. Frantic searches begin when the police are called and distraught parents cannot believe this has happened, with a nanny who clearly has something to hide.

I have read several ‘missing children’ novels over the last twelve months and was slightly concerned that this would follow similar storylines. I was wrong. This is clever and the hint of evil makes it addictive.

Excellent, highly recommended.

A story that is every parents worst nightmare, your child going missing. As with the characters in the story, when they realise Laurel is missing, I could feel the sense of dread and fear rising in me.

Anna is the little girls nanny and you can tell just how much she loves Laurel also. It soon becomes clear that Anna has run away from something in her past which she is keeping secret and I was dying to know just what that secret was.

Laurel’s parents are not the most likeable of people. They are both self absorbed and more than the odd occasion I wanted to give them both a slap. It was hard at times feeling empathy for them as they were so wrapped up in themselves.

I enjoyed seeing how much FLO’s do within this instance, working with the family and generally trying to be there whilst also hoping to find out more information. I loved how the author focuses more on this aspect than the general detective side that we so often see in these sort of books.

As I have come to expect with this authors books, nothing is ever quite what it seems. There are lots of red herrings to steer you off course, having you second guessing at everyone and everything.

Have You Seen Her is an enthralling, twisty read and a guaranteed page turner. I was hooked from the off and the author ensured I stayed there until the very last page. A must read for fans of psychological thrillers.

5 Stars From Me!

I warn you now, you will not want to put this book down.

Have You Seen Her by Lisa Hall is a sure fire bestseller. It is fast paced and gripping with a killer storyline.

Much like her previous novels, the attention to detail which accompanies the story is faultless - the perfect description of the way a circle of mould sinks into the dregs of a cup of coffee, the crisp crunch of frosty grass - exquisite, essentially unnecessary details which add a sheen of excellence to an already brilliant story.

The main characters, Anna, Fran, Dominic, Emma, Ella etc are so incredibly well defined that I feel like I know them; Anna especially so, and as such I couldn't help but imagine their anguish and feel their pain. I would easily have raced through this book in one sitting except that I had some actually real life things to do, consequently I started it on Saturday morning and finished it in a second sitting on Sunday morning - as such I know for sure that it is compelling, addictive reading because I thought about the characters for the rest of Saturday. Unconsciously, my mind was picking away at the threads of the story trying to work out what had happened to Laurel.

As for the story itself - no spoilers from me as ever - it is relentless, it continually tests you and races from one dead end to another, it is clever, the relationships within it feel so flawed they have to be real, it is awash with red herrings (or is it...) and it is simply and utterly brilliant.

In a nutshell: if this lady so much as writes a shopping list, I want to read it.

Don't hang around reading this review, seriously you are wasting time just go and buy the book already!
