One Night To Change Their Lives is a M&B Medical romance which is written by Tina Beckett. Garrett Stapleton is an ex surgeon who now due to an accident is the hospital administrator. He has lost his wife, daughter and heart. He is determined not to love again, but he meets new ER Doctor Addy Santini. She is very guarded and protective of herself as she is going through a painful divorce, but they embark on a passionate affair. There is a surprise pregnancy but is Garrett willing to let go of the past?

Both the characters are relatable to the reader. Both characters have tragic pasts which affects how they react to each other and life in general. There aren’t any shock surprises but it is an enjoyable read.

I received this novel from Mills & Boon via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

" Since Hospital Administrator Garret Stapleton lost both his wife and his daughter, he’s determined not to give away his heart again. Until gorgeous but guarded ER doc, Addy Santini gets under his skin… Soon they embark on a scorching affair that has unexpected, life changing consequences! When Garret's tragic past threatens their happiness, can Addy's surprise pregnancy lead them to their happy-ever-after? "
I loved this book from page one. Both characters were totally believable and most importantly likeable. I got to the end of this book wishing it didn't have to end, which is most unusual for me,
. I hope there may be a sequal where these characters appear again. Big hint?

I always like a hospital romance, and I know I am not alone in this. It’s even better for me when the heroine is a doctor not a nurse, and her potential partner is also medically qualified, or is a professional.
This was a nicely paced romance, with enough tragic back stories to give [pause and enable the ‘down’ of any traditional romance story.
The writing style was easy to read with a light touch.

A smashing medical romance. I loved this and I adored the characters. Engaging and well written, I could not put this down.
Thank you to Mills and Boon Insiders and to NetGalley for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.

I was expecting more from this story. For the first time in a very long time, I struggled to connect to the main characters. I did not feel any chemistry and the plot left incredibly predictable. The writing wasn't bad, but unfortunately, this was not for me.

Garret is an ex surgeon who is now an administrator due to his accident. Addy is a doctor that works in the same hospital has him who is going through a painful divorce. She challenges him to be better and not to give up hope. she showed him what fun is all about by taking him surfing. The she fell pregnant the first time they made love....
I normally avoid medical novels but this author and book has change my mind

An easy to read magical romance. An ER doctor and an injured hospital administrator working in Miami hospital. Surely a good mix for an enjoyable story. No surprises here as the reader can see what is going to happen. Nevertheless a pleasant way to while away an hour or two.

Well, talk about giving a spoiler in the book's blurb. Personally, I would have kept the pregnancy quiet and let the readers have the surprise that the characters had. But there you go, now you can understand the title, the one night which changes their life is the one where Addy Santini gets pregnant.

Addy is an ER doctor. She is currently divorcing her soon to be ex-husband after finding out he was unfaithful to her. To keep her mind off it all she has been doing a lot of overtime. So much so that one of the hospital administrators has noticed and is worried that she is doing too much.

Garret Stapleton used to be a top rate neurosurgeon, but burning the candle at both ends ended with him crashing his car and ruining his ability to do that job. That's how he finds himself as a hospital administrator, and it is why he is so concerned about Addy's overtime. He doesn't want her to end up putting her life or those of her patients at risk.

Addy has had a crush on Garret for a while, after all, he is gorgeous! If he's honest, Garret feels an attraction to Addy as well, but neither would dream of doing anything about it. Not with both of them having so much baggage between them, plus the fact that they work together. They do however spend time together as 'friends' when Addy decides that Garret needs to take some R&R too. She invites him to go surfing with her and he accepts. She will have to teach him how to do it though because he has never surfed before. Time spent together on the beach with both of them in just swimwear soon has them both feeling hot under the collar.

The more time they spend together the more they start to feel for each other, but the baggage that they both have is keeping them apart. So what will they do when they discover that Addy is pregnant. Garret has already said he doesn't want children, so will he up and leave his job, and Addy before he can become too attached to Addy and the new baby when it's born. It's a real dilemma for him and rather than feeling angry about his attitude I couldn't help but feel sorry for him and hoped that he could see past the failures and heartbreak of his past and look forward to a future with Addy and his new baby.

This was a nice quick read which I really enjoyed. I love Mills and Boon medical romances. Not only do you have lovely romantic stories but you also have a few medical procedures that are always fascinating. This book had all that but also the fun bonus of reading about Garret learning to surf. That was great fun to read. I really loved this book and am happy to recommend it.

One Night to Change Their Lives, 5 Stars 🌟

Knowing he will never be able to operate again, after an accident that nearly cost him his life as well as the use of his hand, Garret Stapleton left New York to take the job of Miami Grace Hospital Administrator; adamant he is not going to get involved with anyone else as he believes the death of his daughter and the subsequent breakdown of his marriage, show he is better off alone. However, when ER Doctor Adelina ‘Addy’ Santini uses her job to hide from the pain of her marriage breakdown, Garret is quick to step in to warn Addy of the risks of overdoing it; after all, Garret is living with the consequences of what can happen when you make a mistake. But Addy’s directness quickly breaks down Garret’s defences and an impromptu surfing lesson soon sees things heating up between them! But can Garret make peace with his tragic past so that when they are faced with a surprise pregnancy they can embrace their forever HEA!

One Night to Change Their Lives (which I thoroughly enjoyed and couldn't put down) was my first book by Ms Tina Beckett and I will certainly be looking for more releases from this author. Although this book was predominantly a medical romance, it is definitely one to read for all fans of romance, as Ms Beckett has written a wonderfully heartwarming story of second chances sensitively covering many of life’s, life-changing events with a thoughtful delicacy and understanding, and with beautifully written and well-developed characters that truly deserve a second chance.

I received my copy from Netgalley and Mills and Boon via Mills and Boon Insiders, but this does not influence my opinions as all opinions are my own.

Wow! This my first Medical book that I have read by Mills & Boon. I have read a lot of books by Mills & Boon as the book company is one my top favourite and priority in reading. Now I want to perfectly honest and tell readers why I exactly haven’t read any Mills & Boon medical fiction, it’s simply as I have watched a medical drama once on TV and found it so frightening watching all the patients that came into A&E with dramatic complications. Now I have been brave enough to read a Mills & Boon Medical drama fiction book, loving One Night To Change Their Lives by Tina Beckett, I’m hungry for more medical fiction from Mills & Boon. Quite frankly these books are not frightening at all. I enjoyed reading all about the two main characters. Adelina Santini who works in the Emergency Department at Miami’s Grace Hospital in Florida is in the process of divorcing her husband after finding him cheating on her. Garret Stapleton hospital administrator had seen his marriage slip apart. Both Addy and Garret have something in common. Addy invites Garret to join her on the beach to do some surfing. Something that Addy can’t seem to stop is having a crush on her boss Garret. Maybe some passion will happen on the beach between them. I do hope that you all enjoy reading One Night To Change Their Lives by Tina Beckett book, as much as what I have.

4.5 Stars

Tina Beckett really knows how to hit the spot when it comes to her couples, and with a Neurosurgeon, a doctor named Addy, a hospital with “Grace” in its title and a couple of (Mc)steamy moments, One Night to Change their Lives definitely had a Grey’s Anatomy vibe which you’ll get no complaints over from this corner.

“Neither one of them needed a permanent relationship. She was in the midst of getting a divorce and he was in the throes of...He had no idea.”

There literally was nothing not to love about Addy and Garret and their romance was heartfelt and sexy capturing all I love from a M&B medical romance. I wish it had been a little longer (for purely selfish reasons) and is definitely one to add to your reading pile.
